The visuals are beautiful and the effects make a huge difference you can feel the wind and even a little mist, which makes it even more immersive. At some points I honestly forgot I was inside the mall because it felt like I was really traveling. It's not too scary, but still exciting enough to enjoy every second of it. I was a little nervous at first, but once it started I just relaxed and had fun. The whole experience is very well done and something different from anything else in the mall. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying it. It's fun, unique, and totally worth it . I would do it again for sure!

These giant drop towers are usually the most nerve racking rides at amusement parks for me. (I've…read morenever been on one of those up charge bungee chord rides though.) It's all about the suspense. Funny thing is, about a fraction of a second into the drop I remember it's actually really fun and exhilarating, refreshing, too, if it's a hot, stuffy day and you get a breeze rushing past you. Still, they get me keyed up every time! Identical in height to it's counterpart at Cedar Point, this Power Tower has only columns opposed to four, sacrificing a second column where the hydraulics shoot you up the tower since everybody knows being propelled down is more fun, not to mention suspenseful. One column wasn't running the day we went and Power Tower was the only ride at VF that operations were a bit slow on. It's always nice to get up into the air and see the view from these things, especially in an unfamiliar area for me like Shakopee, MN. And I appreciate that the top is still adorned with Valleyfair in the old school, medieval font as opposed to the uninspiring official Cedar Fair font that all parks seem to have imposed on them these days. Ely and I had a blast on Power Tower while Dave chickened out, waiting for us, looking like the Unabomber on the rickety bridge leading up to PT.

I had a lot of fun here, but only got to be here for two and a half hours before…read moremy in-laws wanted to leave to go get lunch (and refused to select any of the many food options available within the zoo? idk, man, they're weird sometimes). My two faves hands down were the Conservation Carousel (requires token purchase) and the Llama Walk. The carousel features an incredible variety of critters you can ride, and I had a tough time picking which one I wanted. The employees operating the ride were very kind, allowing me extra time to get photos (I'm a big fan of carousels). A ride costs $4, which is kinda steep since it's really only a couple minutes long, buuut you figure it's going to a good cause. The llama walk was delightful because the llamas were free-roaming, not behind a fence, so they could walk right up to you (which many did). I definitely found myself giggling more than once. Also special to this place is a splash pad and a jungle gym. I had intended to enjoy both, but again, my in-laws were kind of dictating the trip (they paid), so I missed out. But next time I'll for sure run around in the water and go down the slide (I'm a kid at heart- age is just a number!). There were also occasional backdrop photo ops around the outdoor areas which was great for someone like me who loves selfies. Another neat feature is their Treetop Trail, which essentially goes all the way around the outdoor sections but from around 12 feet above as a suspended boardwalk. Not quite as shady, for obvious reasons, but also less crowded and avoids some of the random elevation changes. Cool to have multiple ways to experience the park, imo! The aquarium section is mid. That's okay. The tropical section was amazing! The lemurs were especially cute. We didn't end up seeing the farm exhibit, nature center, dino explore, or North American section. Like I said, we missed out on a lot, regrettably. :\ Dumb when it's $26/a head for adults, plus $10 for parking. I'll have to come back some other time, perhaps when they are done with the construction currently going on for the snow monkies. Giftshop had many cute things. The standard stuff you'd expect to find: t-shirts and apparel, plushies, toys, magnets, keychains, pins, patches, stickers, figurines. Lots of bathrooms and water bottle refill stations/water fountains scattered about, so no worries about staying well hydrated! Overall it was a very nice, well-maintained, modern facility!

Staff is always happy and helpful. The volunteers love what they do-it's always a treat to talk to them while there. I love that they have both indoor and outdoor parts, so nice to be able to get outside. I do feel like the farm has been disappointing this year compared to past years and when I grew up going. There is currently construction happening outside at the zoo-they're redoing the snow monkeys enclosure. I am very excited for that to be done as it will help with the walk ability outside near that area. All in all, I love our zoo and definitely recommend a membership. They even make a great present! I remember growing up with a zoo membership and am so happy to be able to give that back to my daughter.

We've done zip lining before and having someone catch you at the end really takes the stress out of it. Kids, parents and grandma who happened to be in our group all had a lot of fun! Four rides was 20.99. The average ride is around 4-5mins. A friend and I tried the 2 rides combo. We Went with the Carnival ride and Pirates ride. Before going into the ride room, you are given brief instructions on what to do and grab a 3-D glass to put on to view the rides. The room we went into had 2 rows and about 6-8 seats per row if I can recall. We then strap ourselves into a motion seat equipped with a laser blaster to fender enemy attack in the ride/game. It lets you compete against others in the same room and ranks 1st to last place in terms of game scores and shows in screen. It was a fun experience and is for all ages. Would like to come back and try other rides.

I'm so glad that we were able to find it as it was so worth it. The restaurant is huge and has a cool bar area with multiple TVs throughout the entire place. The food coming out looked very good and our waitress told us about the special of the day which was a French dip sandwich and fries and so glad we chose to order it. The meat in the sandwich was super flavorful and the odds you sauce on the side was even butter to dip it in the french fries. We had an event to attend and needed a quick meal and this hit the spot. The only thing we could recommend is that they offer drinks in glass versus plastic.
