    a display of cheeses

This is a cheese factory and creamery in the Fairmont, New Jersey area and is an excellent place to go if you're wanting quality cheeses and dairy products. I visited on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy and they let you taste all of the cheeses before purchasing. I tasted the Crema de blue and ended up getting 2 pounds of it and shipped it back to Florida where I live. The atmosphere is like a country store that sells cheese, dairy products, eggs, and some other miscellaneous items. Their cheese is very good and I will definitely be back to try and order more cheese to be shipped to Florida where I live.

Great place, came here twice so far drove 50 miles one way to get here. Both times great experience. They offer a great tractor tour and I also saw how sheep are kept with their little ones. They also have a lot of great products that they offer.

We stopped here after spending time at a local farm. They have a nice variety of cheeses made from the milk of sheep, cows and goats. The line to try/buy cheese took a while, even with only a few people ahead of us, but it was worth the wait! We ended up taking home Valley Thunder, Smokey Shepherd, Pepato and Nettlesome, as well as a log of goat cheese. All of cheeses are creamy and flavorful, but our favorite of the bunch was the Smokey Shepherd. They also have a variety of breads, crackers, and preserves. We made a cheeseboard at home with cheeses, apricot spread, sour dough bread and crackers all purchased from VS and it was amazing. I can't wait to come back and try more items!

It was a nice tour, not as elaborate as I would think, due to the fact that it is done on a Sunday and the Cheese makers are at the various Farmers markets selling their crafts. Even though we did get to see the Cheese making room and the various parts of the operation you really don't get to se any "action". Nice day out with Hubby. If it was a nicer day out we may have enjoyed sitting on their porch eating some cheese and goodies. Had packed a picnic to enjoy, but opted to sit on a bench at a nearby park instead.

It too bad the cheese is good, because shipping options and customer service is at best marginal.

They have several food trucks with lots of different choices. They have a nice farmer's market that is nicely decorated and has plenty of items for sale. They have a great selection of pies too. Also, there is an ice cream stand next to the market opened daily, all ice cream is homemade and fresh! Their hot apple cider and cinnamon donut was a great treat! Since finding Ort Farms is not too far from us, we'll be back next year once the crops are back in season.

I found out about Ort Farms from a billboard I saw driving down 17. I wanted to find a farm that…read morehad a pumpkin patch but still had apple picking, and Ort Farms had both - so it was perfect! It was about an hour drive from me, so it wasn't too bad. We came on the last Sunday of September, so the pumpkin patch and hayrides were already open (I believe they open mid-September) but they still had some late varieties of apples. They had some veggies available for picking too - tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. You just need to purchase a bag and you can use it for both. Admission was about $15 per adult, which you have to purchase online. Kids 3 and under are free. We did the 9:30 time slot but didn't get there until 10, which didn't seem to be an issue. It's definitely best to go early so you can avoid as much of the crowd as possible. We spent almost three hours there and it was crowded by the time we left. The good thing about going in September is that most people don't want to go until October, so you get to avoid that mess. But the bad thing is that it's still probably really hot and if you're picking fruits/veggies in hot weather, it's not the most fun. By the time we were done picking apples and veggies, we were all hot and tired by the time we got to the pumpkin patch. So I'd suggest doing all of your photo ops at the pumpkin patch first and then doing all the manual labor. They have a few food trucks in one area and the apple cider slush was nice and refreshing after picking fruit. They also have a farm store with your usual suspects - pies, apple cider donuts, pre-made salads/sandwiches, etc., but we didn't buy anything. I think I found our new go-to farm. It's nice that you can kill two birds with one stone. I saw they have U-cut Christmas trees in December so I'm interested to see if they're doing any Christmas events - I wouldn't mind making the drive back.

Finally stopped in this Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and heart packed into this small, eclectic shop. I ordered the butterfly tea, and it was perfection; light, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. My husband had a coffee and gave it his full approval, which says a lot since we're used to bringing back premium coffee beans and chocolate from Cartagena, Colombia during his business trips. So yes, our taste buds are very spoiled. Our daughter was the only one who got her hands on the chocolate Bar we purchased, and let's just say... she devoured it within the day. Her exact words? "Best chocolate I've ever had." So yeah, that bar never stood a chance. While waiting for our drinks, we were treated to samples; mango lassi and lentil soup, both incredibly delicious and culturally authentic. The lentil soup, in particular, had me considering a second round, even though we had stopped in after brunch and I had no business eating more food. The vibe in the shop is a little visually chaotic (the decor doesn't follow a strong theme), but it adds a kind of quirky charm. There was even a setup for a live band, which is wild considering how petite the space is....but I'm here for the ambition! You can also see the chocolatier through a glass window, which added a fun behind-the-scenes feel to the experience. The woman handing out samples was warm and welcoming, and the young lady taking orders was all business, but still kind and efficient. All in all, Mazur is a charming little spot for anyone who truly appreciates high-quality chocolate, great drinks, and a few surprises along the way. We'll definitely be back.

This is a chocolate lab, after all, not to be confused with the dog (though I would've gladly pet one if it showed up with a mocha in its mouth). Mazur Café is a charming little spot that whispers "refined European dessert lounge" and shouts "yes, we serve espresso." The vibe is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the espresso machine hisses with confidence.
