We spent Labor Day at Tranquillity Farms! They had a special LDW event where you could pick wildflowers and stuff your Stanley for $14.95. Weather was perfect and so we did! There was no signage about it so when we arrived we went inside the market to ask. They gave us a pair of scissors to use and let us know that sunflowers were $1 more per stem. (This was a great deal! I've been to other farms that charge more.) We walked through as cut as many flowers that we could fit. The farm wasn't too busy so it was enjoyable. After flower picking we got ice cream from their ice cream window (this was the pricey side) and sat at a picnic table watching the goats. Tranquillity Farms was a short ride up 80 West. They have plenty of parking, fresh produce and other goods in the market, and a jungle gym for the kids. I couldn't find a bathroom - only saw portajohns. They've started their apple picking season so I plan to return soon! read more

Stopped by Tranquility Farms -- a beautiful farm stand with a ton of personality and charm. Food: I had the cookies and cream ice cream, which was delicious and creamy, the perfect farm-fresh treat. We also picked up some fresh produce that ended up making a great dinner later that night. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality, exactly what you'd hope for from a local farm. Service: The staff were very helpful when picking out produce and super friendly at the counter. You can tell they take pride in what they do and want customers to have a good experience. Aesthetic: The setup is beautiful and much larger than it first appears, with a welcoming and well-kept layout. Went to Tranquility Farms for 2024 Fall Fest and enjoyed the Hay Ride, Corn Maze and other attractions. Was extremely crowded by early afternoon though and spent a fair amount of time on lines (one to order, one to pickup) to get something to eat. Overall, still a fun day. read more

How charming! Came in the Winter to celebrate National Ice Cream for Breakfast and what a sweet delight! So many options! The staff was accommodating and pleasant. Got the MYO Crepes and the portion was HUGE!! AND delicious! The sugar free vanilla was perfection and the crepe was awesome! This was probably one of the best fall farm experiences my family has ever had!! They have every single fall-themed thing you can think of here at Tranquility Farms. This is definitely going to become our go-to spot. My son jumped on a giant bounce pad, sling-shot pumpkins and apples at targets, took a ride on a cow train, we did a corn maze and hay ride together. There's still so much! We picked pumpkins and sunflowers and ate yummy, fresh corn and apple cider donuts! There weren't a ton of people there either. It was busy, but not packed, like some of the other farms we've been to. But that could have a lot to do with the pandemic. Can't wait to come back here next fall and enjoy more of their awesome property. read more

Great place for picking up a variety of produce along with milk, eggs, frozen local meats, & miscellaneous jared dressings, sauces, & pickled items. When in need to go to provision up & not wanting to deal with a crowded supermarket - this is the place to go! Handwashing station is located outside along with gloves & hand sanitizer - how many places are offering this? None so far that I have come across! While shopping there, be sure to check out the homemade ice cream & pies - to die for! In terms of plants, the selection is OK - somewhat limited. read more

Great place but getting crazy busy on weekends in the fall. Like going to Queens NY. Windy Brow Farms is also great and less crowded. Take 206 north and avoid the misplaced gridlock on Rt 517. Also Donaldson Farms Market is bigger and has more to offer in Hackettstown. read more

Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! One of our favorite local farms hosted this great event. Despite it being freezing it brought out a big crowd. The staff was quick to make our delicious breakfasts so the line went fast. I opted for the Fruity Pebbles Sundae which included their two ginormous scoops of their homemade vanilla ice cream with a fruity pebbles, strawberry sauce, whipped cream and a cherry. I've been going here since I moved nearby for the last 2 years with my wife and puppy. Their milk is always high quality directly from their cows, and the ice cream is always a delicious treat for us and our pup! The property is beautiful and always so relaxing to stop by. Now let's get on to the real reason for this review. After they built their new pavilion, we decided to book it for our first baby shower event. Communicating with their event planner was incredibly easy and she was also extremely accommodating with helping me pick a date in September, as well as letting me change my hours last minute. The day of the shower, the whole farm was PACKED as usual with customers, but we were easily able to access our clean, laid out pavilion with the exact tables we requested. I LOVE how everyone can walk around the pavilion during our private event, and some people asked if they could join the party! The planner was available to us the entire time making sure everything was taken care of. She went above and beyond what I expected. I think we really impressed all our guests with the amazing property, not to mention a perfect view of the mountains and flower fields behind. We just love this place! read more

Why a great place. Great bake goods, apple cider and gifts. It has become one of our favorite spots to visit.

We stopped for Octoberfest. Sad to say, it wasn't an Octoberfest at all. The band was a blues band. We heard something polka sounding dimmly coming from somwhere. The food was outrageously priced, and the only food close to German food was a sausage. Honestly, nothing reminiscent of an Octoberfest was present. Beers were the same as the usual that the brewers often presents at " farm" festivals in the area. Paying $15 a person, $15 for a sausage sandwich is not my idea of family friendly, especially with an absent Octoberfest... There weren't any activities for adults, no atmosphere of a German fest, only kids games and a few vendors. Oh, and a blues band. Leave the Octoberfest's for the professionals. What a beautiful and kid-friendly gem!!! First time here and brought my one and two year old and they had the time of their lives on the wooden pirate ship and playing with the farm animals. When I drive through this area I always stop for ice cream. It is the best ice cream and the portion are very generous. I love it the most for the portion. Today I was disappointed. I ordered a large hard ice cream on a waffle cone. When I received it, the portion at best was a lower end medium size. When I said something about it, the server offered to put more but also said the first flavor was runny or loose and that's is she couldn't put more. By this time I was even frustrated. Why would you serve loose ice cream, in the first place? Had she told me of the situation before serving it, I would have opted for a different flavor, with better consistency. This review is based mostly on their supposed 'HOMEMADE' ice cream. 2018 - I see they now have a very nice Amish Style location, selling their frozen Frankenfood windowside. We went there assuming this was going to be true, wholesome, homemade ice cream - made with cream, sugar, egg yolks and milk. As well as being able to support a local farm. Otherwise, for less money, we could just go to the frozen dairy case and buy the junk they now call 'frozen dessert' trying to pass as ice cream. Very disappointed and a bit miffed to read the ingredients - of which about half the list consists of gums, preservatives and stabilizers. -Sucrose -Corn Syrup -Guar Gum -Mono and Digycerides -Polysorbate 80 -Xantham Gum -Carageenan Just pure junk and I guess most people don't care what they eat or assume because it says homemade, its wholesome. During this difficult time when many stores have empty shelves, Tranquility Farms farmstand on Rt517 has been a beacon of local excellence, with fresh vegetables, bread, and meats (in addition to their very good ice cream) available every day. It's not a 'supermarket' by any stretch, and there are days/times when the selection is limited, but if you're looking for food staples without a crowd, I recommend this business. So happy this farm stand opened! It's a beautiful addition to our lovely countryside, and they offer so much. Favorites include corn on the cob, apple dumplings and their soft vanilla ice cream! Or for hard ice cream, our whole family loves their 'milk & cookies.' Have had some of their meats, but they're a bit on the pricier side. Young lady came out of the back room and provided nice service to someone she clearly knew and then walked right by me as if I wasn't even there and continued to box items in the back room. Not, can I help you? Let me know if you need any help. Not the slightest nod or smile. I guess I wasn't a regular and she couldn't be bothered. The only customer in the store and I get that. You really need to be careful who you have working the register. The wrong people with no social skills can do a lot of harm to a small business. She may be fine for working in the back room, but not out on the floor. I left empty handed. read more

We have been to this place several times. We have always enjoyed the ice cream and love supporting local businesses. However, we decided to have a cake done for our young son's birthday and that was where it went all down hill for us. Despite talking to two young girls at the register our cake was done wrong. When I called to express my dismay I was called a liar and not helped at all. It's a shame that the service was so horrible. We won't ever go back to a place that doesn't value their customers.
