Compact little farm for apple picking. They have other stuff too. $4 to get in, under 2 goes free. They charge by pound ($2.99/lb for apple), so it's definitely not cheap but certainly fresh. The farm isn't that big so I can imagine if you go even a few weeks after they are opened for the season I cannot imagine they have anything left. There's a big shop where they sell cider, produce and baked goods. I remembered their apple crumble pie was good from last time. Hopefully it's good too this time. There are some farm animals (ducks, goat, horse, donkey, rabbit etc) for the kids, face cut out board for kids to take pictures. It's good for little kids since there's not so much walking compared to the bigger farms. The signs for the apples are very informative. People who work there are very nice. They have port-a-potty. Just have to go early in the season before the apples run out.

I honestly fell in love with this place every since I found it in the fall time. The owners are really nice and are there to answer any of your questions. I am usually always there getting the farm milk . Their ice cream is very delicious. My favorite is the apple one. I always have to get it whenever I am there. Their donuts are also very tasty as well. I am disappointed that they close down in the wintertime. Too bad they are not able to stay open all year round. If you haven't stopped here I would highly recommend it. You will love it.

I stopped in while driving by on a whim! Plenty of parking available on a weekday but I'm sure it can get busy on weekends. It seemed like a smaller farm but had a pretty big farm store offering lots of fresh vegetables, ice cream, jams, and pastries. I only got two of their sodas to try this visit but I will definitely be back to try more! I was a bit disappointed to see that the cider sold there is labeled from a different farm so I didn't bother to buy it. Otherwise it the perfect fall ambiance!

    Best farm around!!

I'm from Long Island and my wife's from NJ. When we first met, we'd argue whether LI tomatoes and corn were better than NJ. Sun Orchards lost the battle for me! NJ wins! Sun Orchard is simply the best farm in this area of Morris County. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh and amazing. The little bakery just puts it over the top! Today I picked up some tomatoes and a blueberry turnover. Now it's coffee and pastry time!

So i came here once before back in 2014 with few of my girls but came back this past weekend with my family to go apple picking. First off, this place is was PACKED with people. There's usually plenty of parking in front of the farm, even across the street, but both lots were filled and people parked on the streets for a good block or two. Anyways, parking is free as well as the entrance. There's a pumpkin patch as well as a petting farm as soon as you go in to the farm. You can feed the farm animals if you wish and there hand sanitizer available if you do feed them. There's also a corn patch where you can take pictures as well as a lot of picture cut-outs where you can place your head in to take a picture (nice for kids). When it comes to apple picking, there are a BUNCH of trees that you can pick apples from. My personal favorite were the green apple and fuji (red delicious and macintosh were all gone by the time we went). They even have a list of where the apples are and what each apples are used for (eating or baking, or both)-which is pretty helpful. The apples are weight based ($1.99 per pounds) and they provide a bag for you to use (but be careful, because we got 3 bags filled with approximately 11 apples for $17 which was definitely pricier than we thought haha). Anyways, the apples were DELICIOUS so we didn't mind. We also went inside the store and got apple cider donuts (a dozen for $9, half a dozen for $5), half a gallon of apple cider ($5), and a single scoop of pumpkin ice cream and apple ice cream (SUPER addicting). I personally think that the apple cider donuts with cinnamon was the best and the apple cider donuts weren't too sweet which was good. There's seating outside near the farm or outside near the store, either way it was nice to sit and eat in the nice fall weather. We took a lot of pictures and had an amazing time. Definitely recommend this place to anyone nearby. I didn't go on the hay ride but it's $1 per person (free for those under 2). I personally really like that this place has a free entrance fee haha.

Went here with some friends, there wasn't much apples but that's understandable since we went late October and later in the day, we had a great time with some great apple cider and and cute animals. We will be returning

Second year that I make a stop at this spot! Loved it and my little cousins loved it more. This location has different options and things to do, from a hay ride to Apple and pumpkin picking. Also their Apple cider donuts are delicious!! Make sure to stop before the colder weather begins

Visited a few farms for apple picking and animal petting. SunHigh orchard was our first stop of the day. They had a variety of different apple trees, peaches, peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins and sunflowers! They even had a little hayride (best dollar spent!!) to show us the layout of what they provided. They also had a variety of happy healthy animals. Three alpacas greeted you from the parking area. As seen in pictures, I was a big fan of the horse. Friendly beautiful brown horse waiting to greet the visitors. They also had bunnies, ducks, a big old smelly hog, goats and sheep. We had a wonderful day picking apples in a crowd free environment. It was magical.

Great place for apple picking. First time visiting and easy to get to. Apple cider donuts were ok but not bad. The farm animals were great for the kids. They charge a $2 entrance fee now. Other posts and comments mentioned that their was no entrance fee.

Came here during Christmas time to look for Christmas tree. They had a medium size selection of trees. The best part of this place is that they have a huge selection of homemade ice cream, gelato, cakes, pies, cider donuts, etc. They also have a nice fireplace fire going and lots of petting zoo animals on the property. I would highly recommend for families and for anyone looking to enjoy a little trip outside in nature. Giving it three stars because the service wasn't the friendliest or what I was expecting, but I would def go back for all the tasty goodies and the animals!

We came here today to pick some apples. The entrance fee is $2/person and the tractor ride is $1/person. Children under 5 get in for free. The Apple prices are $1.99/lb and they provide the bags for free. There are only a few wagons available to use so I would suggest you to bring your own. For the area, the prices are cheap. And there are plenty of delicious apples available. There is a map when you enter of where all the apples are. We were able to get Gala, McIntosh, Blondie, Crimson Crisp, Fuji, Cortland, and Summer Rambo. There are also pumpkins available as well for $.69/lb. Blondies are my favorite. The market had plenty of delicious bread, pie, apple cider, produce and ice cream. The ice cream and pie area was cash only and the other areas accepted credit cards. The cider was so good and the kids love the ice cream. The staff was friendly and nice. I don't know who the other reviewers were commenting about. But when I went today, everyone was helpful and nice. They aren't a huge orchard, but they met my expectations. We will be back for sure.

We come here often! Especially for the corn when it's in season. Love the doughnuts in the fall. It's always fun to feed the animals too.

The hot apple cider and the apple cider donuts were amazing, I think I'd come back just for them.

This is the third farmer's market I've reviewed, and probably the last one I need to review,…read morebecause this is the best of the three. Every year we look forward to the local farmer's markets opening in the spring and the one in Morristown is usually great. I'm always a big proponent of supporting your locals so I try to put my money where my mouth is and buy what I can here (and the other local farmers' markets). It's a little more expensive than what you pay in the supermarkets, but for a lot of the produce you can taste the difference. Jersey corn and Jersey tomatoes are the best in the country (yeah, I said that Iowa, Nebraska, California and Florida). The pickle guy makes some of the best I've ever tried...huge fan of the hot and spicy ones. The cheese stand is pretty good, but a lot of it is made from goat or sheep milk-not my favorite, but pretty damn good. Also a huge fan of the bread stand, the fresh honey, and the fish monger. Just sitting here writing this makes me long for warmer weather and fresh produce! This market is very dog friendly (if you're interested in bringing your pup), but one negative is the parking and getting in and out...it can get a little tight. Really looking for the first weekend they're open in June.

The Morristown Farmers' Market is held every Sunday from June thru November. The market has an…read moreabundance of produce vendors (usually six), plus stands offering breads and pastry, cheeses, frozen meats and sausages, raw fish and local honey. The first Sunday of the month there is extra good stuff, usually a musician plus additional farmers. This market is organized by the Morristown Partnership. I was pleased to learn that the Partnership requires all vendors to sell only products made in New Jersey. Try the fresh farm eggs from Michisk's Farm of Flemington! I love the braided sesame twist from Baker's Bounty of Linden. The fresh flounder from the fish people of Long Beach Island is a little expensive at about $18/lb but very good. Occasionally I'll get olives from Pickle-Licious to make putanesca sauce with tomatoes from Michisk's. Alstede's market stand has the largest variety of produce, including herbs, peppers, onions, apples, peaches, corn, melon and so on. Alstede might be the only stand that accepts credit cards. My wife likes to get sunflowers from the flower stand. One large produce stand is completely organic. Once in a while I'll get a kielbasy from the Polish food people. The cheese people have interesting stuff but it's annoyingly spendy at about $25/lb. This market has relatively few prepared foods other than pastries and breads; there's no deli food and no coffee place, just huge piles of fresh, local produce ready to be turned into great meals. I like to go early, they open promptly at 8:30.
