Pretty icy ice cream. Would rather it be store-bought and creamy. Nothing special. Both flavors disappointing. Too many other good options.

Try the cannoli ice cream. Phenomenal! Also their seasonal activities in the fall are well worth the money.

Great place for $10 pumpkin cream cheese logs. Or, you can just get one at Shop-Rite for $3.50. Oh, and snotty girls behind the counter.

Summertime is a great…read moreseason to explore places far and away especially rest for great food. ‍ As I was searching for farms and produce stands, I noticed this business and since I love pancakes here, there and everywhere, I planned a day away that included farm stands, backroad NJ scenic driving and fruity pancakes. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we arrived at noon on Thursday, breakfast ended at 11am and so we pivoted to lunch items that included a Boars Head cheesesteak, chips and pickle plus a really tasty cheeseburger . As we were leaving, my husband decided on a large chocolate peanut butter milkshake which he deemed awesome. (Thanks Todd for stepping in and making one) We stopped at our pre planned list of farm stands and headed home. Very next day, Friday, up at dawn to get a few chores out of the way so we could head out to Gronsky's for the day #2 breakfast deadline! I prefer sitting at the counter and watching their magician, Tyler, assemble the food for orders, crack open the eggs, drop the pancake batter in the proper corner and keep all meats aligned for the plates. He's the king of that kitchen and each one of those servers is the queen doing the hustle, bustle, slide to the left, back up and move forward like square dancers on the move. From the Taylor ham, provolone and fried egg sandwich on that FRESH Kaiser roll to the omelette with those delicious home fries and my PEACH PANCAKE . . . . all of it was their special take on breakfast served their way. Almost 50 years, folks! Prices are absolutely reasonable for how the food is prepared and presented, quality ingredients cooked according to diners' specifications. What more can you ask for? We'll be back for September POTM!!

It was very busy when we got there, but they had three employees working between the walk-up window and the inside counter, so the line kept moving. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, which made it easy for our group to find places to sit and enjoy our ice cream. Even with the crowd, the staff did a good job keeping up with the orders and everything moved along efficiently. If you're looking for a classic spot to grab some ice cream on a warm evening, Gronsky's is definitely worth a stop.

The parking lot is shared with another company so it can get crowded. The inside has an open area so the line can curl around and towards the door. You can eat in a small area along the front window or find a table. Space is limited so a lot of people opted to just eat outside. There's a big chalkboard along the wall that my kid got a kick out of drawing on. The staff was mostly friendly young kids. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. I went with a small cookies and cream. The serving was pretty big! I have to say I agree with some other Yelpers that it's good ice cream, but it's not GREAT blow your mind away in the flavor department. My son got a mix of vanilla and chocolate and I felt the same way when I sampled his, it was good, but missing a notch or two in the flavor department ..... Of course he thought it was awesome and the best ice cream in the world! Prices were $7.25 for a couple of scoops in a cup. I thought it was pretty fair. Good stuff, but not great. My expectations were much higher for the lines I've seen this place have. Thanks guys!

Not only do they offer hard ice cream flavors (a pretty big selection) but they offer soft serve. This place also has frozen yogurt that they can make from their multiple soft serve flavors. I really like how they accept Venmo as well. I also like how they had a bench you could sit at. Not sure how many people actually sit outside this place to eat ice cream but the gesture felt welcoming. I ended up getting the birthday cake and the chocolate hazelnut in a cup. They gave a pretty big quantity which I was very happy about. However, I did feel like the flavors were basic. I didn't feel like it came straight from the farm or whatever. I was definitely slightly disappointed. Maybe I'll give their frozen yogurt a try next time and it won't disappoint.

Parking is tricky but there is a paid public lot across the street. Inside, there is a cute little seating area with picnic benches and some Adirondack chairs. Near the seating, there is a water cooler and plastic cups. Being located in the heart of Morristown, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the ice cream is 100% homemade and sourced with local, seasonal ingredients. I love seeing all of the creative flavors and there are always so many different options to choose from. In the refrigerated section, there are pints and cakes available to take to-go. Monthly/seasonal flavors are offered as well. You can even create a custom ice cream flavor for a special occasion. Service is also very friendly and happy to help, even when they are very busy. I don't usually write reviews, but you're charging $8.75 for what signs in the shop and the counter person called "a pint" of ice cream. My wife was so upset at the sizing that she refused to have any ice cream. Our boys and I went ahead with the purchase despite the price. Now, charge whatever you want if people are okay paying it, but the "pint" clearly wasn't really a pint. Truth in advertising still matters. The "pint" paper container actually holds about a cup of ice cream. We know this because I saved the container, brought it home, and measured its volume. One measuring cup of water (8 oz.) filled the container pretty close to full, about half an inch from the top. You have a lovely shop and I wish you much success. At the same time, please stop telling customers that they're buying a "pint" of ice cream when they're really buying about a cup of ice cream. Label it something else, "Standard," "Regular," "Large" (compared to the pops), or whatever. Calling something a pint when it clearly isn't only hurts your credibility as a proprietor and sullies the customer experience. Thank you.
