All the food and products are from the Amish people. Everyone is so friendly and the service is fast and efficient. My mom ordered a strawberry milkshake. She said it was one of the best milkshakes she ever had. They put a bunch of fresh strawberries inside and she said it wasn't too sweet but just perfect. My husband ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. He also said it was made really well and was not too sweet. Just a clean creamy cookie flavor. Of course we had to try the doughnuts. I ordered an apple and a chocolate with sprinkles. The apple was really good! It was freshly baked, and the filling was delicious and had a nice cinnamon flavor. The chocolate was also very good! They are big donuts too! 2 for $5. Now to the delicious soft pretzels! They are freshly baked, soft, buttery, and delicious!!! You can also get them in garlic, cinnamon, and sour cream and onion. First off the carrot cake had real carrots in it. Which I liked! I met Amy, who makes the ice cream, and Denise who does the quality control. They were both very friendly and they gave me a peek at the process of making the ice cream. I highly recommend stopping by and visiting Ort Farms! Ort Farms drew us in with their fall activities, pricing, and the fact they had a VIP Tasting Experience that allowed you to try multiple snacks! We loved having the VIP tasting passes, though it was a bit difficult to navigate where exactly each stand was to claim our treats. The roasted corn was a great lunch, and being able to snack on popcorn, slushies, and ice cream was even better! Our favorite was the soft serve: while half our group said the pumpkin was the best they've ever tasted, I have a soft spot for the maple ice cream. The pick your own is smaller than other farms we've been to, but you could fully tell that the land a was cared for more than a commercialized farm. The fruit trees were pristine and the vegetable options were extensive! We also love that you can bring your dog to the farm -- you just can't take them into the fruit and veggie fields. But, you can still walk them alongside the fields while your family enjoys picking! There were tons of kid friendly activities, which is why I think this would have been an amazing spot to bring the family. For adults, it was still a fun experience, but we definitely felt like we missed out on the full potential of the farm not bringing children. Bonus: there are animals on property you can feed, and you can tell that they're all well taken care of. Our favorite was Anxiety the goat (yes, his name is Anxiety!) If you're looking for a family friendly pick your own farm experience, this is the place!

My local farm has a farm stand where they're $2/lb including heirlooms. Like - please bffr. Here's where this spot excels - the baked goods. Salted caramel chocolate chip cookies. The texture is DIVINE. Heaven sent. Easily a top 3 cookie in my lifetime. 9.99 for 5. And worth every penny. You don't need canned goods from here. I'd even argue you don't need meat from here. The cheese vendors were wonderful. The breads were also VERY creative (duck fat focaccia... sign me up!) Although some vendors took credit cards, others were cash/check only so I would recommend that you bring some cash with you and smaller bills. For those of us who are in northern NJ, it is an easier ride now that the summer is over. It is also a pretty ride and worth supporting our local growers.
