Went here a couple of months back during their Boo Bash weekend festival. We enjoyed a few hours there to do some pumpkin picking, hay rides, and the rest of the usual activities. They have several food trucks with lots of different choices. They have a nice farmer's market that is nicely decorated and has plenty of items for sale. They have a great selection of pies too. Also, there is an ice cream stand next to the market opened daily, all ice cream is homemade and fresh! Their hot apple cider and cinnamon donut was a great treat! Since finding Ort Farms is not too far from us, we'll be back next year once the crops are back in season.

Wanted to try a new spot for Apple Picking and Ort's did not disappoint. there was ample space to park and traffic was guided by staff so it wasnt chaotic. The farm was beautiful and well maintained. Playground was in perfect condition and even looked new! the kids definitely had so much fun. We went to their orchard and it was very organized however the PYO apples seem pricey for a small bag of $8 or $12. This was a separate purchase from the admission ticket which also included the orchard entrance and their hayride. During our visit (Sept) was also an event so they had vendors and a live band which was neat! there were enough tables/chairs fyi. We also tried their homemade icecream and I absolutely enjoyed their pumpkin patch milkshake and their special caramel apple cider slushie float which included an apple cider donut! it was so good! they also sell apple cider donuts and other homemade breads and pastries inside their well kempt shop! sure enough we had a lovely visit at their farm and would love to revisit again some day soon!

I haven't been to Ort in two years, but it's so different that it might has well have been ten years. Am I crazy, or did they change everything?! In the best way though. The farm store is gorgeous and brand new with an amazing selection of snacks, sweets, produce and local goodies. They even had so many fun farm themed toys for the kiddos. Plus a full fledged ice cream shop! That strawberry cheesecake ice cream was pure perfection. Strawberry picking was the main reason for our visit, but there was so much else to check out for my kids like animals, a playground area, a big toy train, a cow train ride and more. There are also food trucks that have the basics like chicken fingers and fries, and the fresh squeezed lemonade is a can't miss. Strawberry picking is a must, and they have an expansive field with so many perfectly ripe strawberries. It's around a five minute tractor ride out to the fields, but the tractors come often and it's a cute experience for the kids. IMO the tractor experience is way better than Alstede, where it's a long wait and a long ride. Strawberry picking will run you $10 per person, plus a dollar upgrade for a bucket vs a carton. And then of course pay for what you pick. I forget what the price per pound is, but we walked away with a massive bucket of strawberries for around 15 bucks. This is a fun place to visit and they keep the calendar full with events like beer fests, car shows, etc. Definitely worth a visit!

I found out about Ort Farms from a billboard I saw driving down 17. I wanted to find a farm that had a pumpkin patch but still had apple picking, and Ort Farms had both - so it was perfect! It was about an hour drive from me, so it wasn't too bad. We came on the last Sunday of September, so the pumpkin patch and hayrides were already open (I believe they open mid-September) but they still had some late varieties of apples. They had some veggies available for picking too - tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. You just need to purchase a bag and you can use it for both. Admission was about $15 per adult, which you have to purchase online. Kids 3 and under are free. We did the 9:30 time slot but didn't get there until 10, which didn't seem to be an issue. It's definitely best to go early so you can avoid as much of the crowd as possible. We spent almost three hours there and it was crowded by the time we left. The good thing about going in September is that most people don't want to go until October, so you get to avoid that mess. But the bad thing is that it's still probably really hot and if you're picking fruits/veggies in hot weather, it's not the most fun. By the time we were done picking apples and veggies, we were all hot and tired by the time we got to the pumpkin patch. So I'd suggest doing all of your photo ops at the pumpkin patch first and then doing all the manual labor. They have a few food trucks in one area and the apple cider slush was nice and refreshing after picking fruit. They also have a farm store with your usual suspects - pies, apple cider donuts, pre-made salads/sandwiches, etc., but we didn't buy anything. I think I found our new go-to farm. It's nice that you can kill two birds with one stone. I saw they have U-cut Christmas trees in December so I'm interested to see if they're doing any Christmas events - I wouldn't mind making the drive back.

I had an amazing time at Ort Farms. They are unique in the fact that they have the monster trucks and even have a cool unique name for one of them. The Web Slinger it was $10 for the ride & it was super fun. The entry was pretty reasonable & things at the farm to do were reasonably priced. They had animal feeding but they didn't wanna eat that much at the time we fed them. They had pumpkins, apples were done. The hayride wasn't as fun as most of them there was not much to see however I had a good

Loved Ort Farms! The ice cream was absolutely delicious my favorites were the Sweet Caramel Corn and Banana Pudding! The farm animals were adorable, and the market was so cute. Such a fun place to visit with the family. Definitely recommend!

It's been 8 long years since our last visit, and I'm so happy we got to share my son's first apple picking experience here on Ort Farms. We brought his godfather along, since he was also with us 8 years ago. We had such a wonderful fun time here, and we'll be back before the end of the season for sure! We paid $63 in total for 3 adults, including in that price $24 for two 1/2 peck bags to fill for apple picking. Honestly, not too terrible, and we didn't reserve a time slot online - we just showed up and were taken right away at 11:30AM when we arrived. The parking was still plentiful at this time, so plan accordingly! We did the petting of the farm animals and showed my son the horses, bunnies, cows, a bull, pigs, and more. You can purchase food in addition to feed the animals, but my son was still too shy to try this. The staff was very friendly and everyone had big, bright smiles for us. The farm has a good amount of large picnic tables, so you can bring your family and friends and really make a whole day out of it. There's food trucks to purchase from, and we got chicken tenders and fries for my son ($14) and they had pickles on a stick and other food options! We were happy with the quality of the food and the portions. The apple orchard was a great highlight. I was especially touched when a staff member asked to take a family photo of us, which I hadn't yet been able to achieve. It was so nice to have something so simple be offered and my son smiled for the camera! A wonderful memory! Another wonderful memory was watching my son run up and down the aisles of apple trees all begging to be picked. There was PLENTY of apples to pick - honeycrisp, cortland, and gala - were all hanging in toddler reach and all the way to the tippy tops of the trees; just gorgeous. The apples are marked clearly with red and green flags so you know exactly what you can and cannot pick. The 1/2 peck bag fit about 12 apples, so it's like paying $1 per apple. They were juicy and crisp! Make sure you stop at the farmer's market before you leave to get your apple cider and apple cider donuts! In the words of my son, "More farm"!

Enjoyed the plentiful fall activities and unique experiences this farm had to offer! Pumpkin picking and hayrides Food trucks (try to the apple cider slushie!) Market with flowers, pies, and home decor Apple picking Corn maze Sunflower picking Petting zoo and animal feed Cow train Family fall photo background and cut outs Trails Apple cannon Monster truck ....and SO much more!

Pumpkin patch

Cute place to bring kids around the fall time! They had an organized line to get in. They have a monster truck area, apple picking, pumpkin picking, flower fields and flower picking, lots of local food and beer pop ups, and many baked goodies in their shop. They even had gluten free apple cinnamon donuts as well as cookies and brookies! There's also a crazy corn maze if you're up for it!

Went to Ort Farms for some fall fun with my family and enjoyed my experience! This farm is dog friendly, with the exception of the hay ride and apple orchard, which was fine by me. There were plenty of activities, such as the pumpkin patch and seeing the farm animals. There were lots of good eats - apple cider slushy and donuts included! The staff was nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend better signage for lines (especially for those purchasing tickets vs. those who prepaid). Overall, it was a lovely time. I'd love to come back for more goodies!

We went for pumpkin and apple picking during Columbus Day!! We were grateful that they are open with all the sun activities that they usually have on the weekend!!! It was such a fun experience for our family!! We didn't expect that they grow their own pumpkin!! So if you are looking for giant pumpkin, better bring your own scissor!! Most of the tiny small one are gone, but they do have lots of big ones.. they do have some apple trees, but unfortunately most of them are already picked (or dropped on the ground) but you can borrow a picking stick to reach to the top of the tree.. it could be fun for older kids.. but if you want to go for apple picking you might have to go in September instead of October!! As for the food truck!! Their apple cider slushy is awesome!!! It's sooo good!!! Donut in my opinion is ok... the grilled corn is so good too!!! (This is all from one food truck) they also have other food truck like cheese steak, hamburger, hot dogs, etc!! We bought our ticket online, but the line for those who has ticket is longer than those who didn't get ticket.. kinda funny!! Everyone who works there are very nice and helpful!! Would definitely go back!!

We knew we were too late for apple picking. So we picked somewhere with pumpkins also. They actually grow their own pumpkins. There was only a little bit of apple left. The farm is not overwhelming big but has enough to keep everyone happy. There's plenty to do for the kids. We love their apple cider slushy. The roasted corn was so sweet. We bought some apple cider donuts, they were pretty good but we prefer the ones from cider mills. Overall, we had a wonderful time there.

Is there a playground area? My grandson is 3 and timid about rides and animals.

Yes, really awesome carefully made play structures - a covered wagon, a train, a pirate ship, a john deer tractor.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. I would definitely have to say hand down to the cute little store - there was a bakery side and oh my gosh the donuts , the cookies and the Tik Tok famous drink was out of this world. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. They even had a pumpkin cider donut which I never had before. Don't forget to stop by and check them out.

Back at blueberry picking! Go prepared and bring a flat and white bag to stack your fruit…read more We went at peak blueberry season again this year. This time we brought our one and a half year-old daughter. Blueberries are her favorite food and we figured she'd have the time of her life. And learn about where blueberries come from... It seems like blueberries were slightly less abundant this year. We came in very peak season. Some bushes tasted better than others, which is probably true anywhere. We picked mostly in the blueberry bushes towards the back of the field. If you do that, the grass is very tall. We were climbing through 1 foot to 2 foot tall grass between the bushes (luckily, no ticks!) This year we also picked sunflowers. They were only $2 / stem. They are the giant sunflowers, though, so there's a lot of pollen, a lot of bugs, and they grow to be a massive size. I brought home 10 and they wilted very fast in the car. If you are planning to take some flowers home with you, think about bringing a bucket with water for the car ride. Overall, another fun experience. Will probably be back next year!

I came to Allstate Farms two years ago, and I'm updating my review after this recent experience…read more Unfortunately, I'm giving it one star for several reasons. First, I believe we paid around $50 per ticket, including a $10 processing fee that I still don't understand. For that price, I expected a much better experience. Instead, the farm was extremely overcrowded, and we waited about 40 minutes just to get food and another 30 minutes just to get corn. However, the biggest disappointment was realizing how much we were expected to pay on top of the admission price. What exactly does the $50 ticket include? Almost every activity seemed to cost extra, including picking a pumpkin. I understand that farms have expenses, but the admission price feels excessive when so little is actually included. The pumpkin situation was especially frustrating because the information we received was inconsistent. An employee told us the pumpkins were included with admission, and another customer told us the same thing. After picking our pumpkins, we noticed several groups leaving with theirs without paying, while others were being directed to pay. My friend was stopped and charged for a pumpkin, and the whole process was confusing and inconsistent. I chose to pay for my pumpkin because I wanted to do the right thing, but it ended up costing around $50. Paying that much to pick a pumpkin yourself, on top of the admission ticket, is absolutely ridiculous. If customers are required to pay for pumpkins, then the policy should be clearly communicated and enforced consistently for everyone. On top of admission and pumpkins, you still have to pay for food, cider, ice cream, and other activities. At the very least, I think a ticket at this price should include something extra, such as a complimentary donut or cider, to make the experience feel worthwhile. Overall, I left wondering what I actually paid $50 for. It felt like I paid that much just to get on a hayride and back, while everything else came at an additional cost. Between the long food lines, overcrowding, confusing pumpkin policy, and extra charges, the experience simply wasn't worth the money. There are other farms where the admission price includes more activities and offers a better overall experience. Unfortunately, I would rather spend my money somewhere else next time. Allstate Farms could do much better in terms of pricing, organization, transparency, and customer experience.
