Visited Riamede on a sunday afternoon and man were there lots of people lol good thing about the place is that they have ample parking space and a huge apple picking area so once youre inside it doesnt feel too crowded at all. Weekends there are pricey though as you have to pay an entrance fee which comes with 1lb free apples each person. Unfortunately there was hardly any apples left. The trees were very close to being bare and the apples left are all at the top. And with no apple picking poles available to use it was tough finding good apples and filling those bags up. Regardless, we persevered and filled our bags to our content and the good thing about this, despite the lack of fruit, was that the apples were indeed very tasty, crunchy and sweet. On weekends they also have some food stands with fries, funnel cakes and chicken tenders. But what most people really go for over there is (no surprise!) their apple cider donuts. Sugary, "cinnamony" and soft - they are pretty good treats. They sold out at 2pm but we managed to get the second-to-the-last pair of boxes whew! They have corn maze/trail and a pumpkin patch but It wasnt as enjoyable for me compared to their apple picking. They have very few choices for mums back in the barn but they do have lots of corn and colorful gourds. Overall not a bad place for a fall activity. Glad we gave it a shot.

As an apple picking connoisseur who has picked regularly every season in the Northeast, Riamede is simply a steller top-notch picking experience with: - Delicious apples. I'm sure it helps that many of them are strong thick trees with deep roots - Great curated experience with really good signage and markings so it is super easy to know what the apples are and which are ripe - Scenic Instagram worthy scenery and background (clearly very important) - Cleared out apple picking lanes (not much tripping on fallen apples hazard here) Oh and bonuses: - The most amazing apple donuts at the end (and if you come at the right time, you might get them hot) - FREE parking - Online ticketing (to sure thing secure your spot) - Free wagons - Hay rides - Squash and Pumpkins Great for: - Apple lovers - Family outings - Nature walks - Instagram moments - Tree admiration - Friend reunions - 4th dates (and onwards) - Quality time with kids I came with my entourage of a nature loving jolly Philadelphian with an eye for outdoor photography and a scientist with very discerning tastes for apples , and we had a lovely time. Not so great for: - Break ups (too scenic)

Lovely farm, if you have the opportunity go during the week and you'll have the whole place almost to yourself. We were told which apples were ripe for picking and from those which are good for eating and for baking. We were also told a brief history of the farm, it dates back to 1700s!!! And the first apple trees were planted in the 1950s and they are still producing. Apart from apples you can pick your own pumpkins and squashes. We explored to our heart's content. We finished off the adventure with apple cider and warm fresh apple cider donuts (which my nephew described as the best he's ever had in his 6 years of lifetime). Get some of the Das creamery ice cream!!! Absolutely mind blowing. P.S. they do accept credit cards

Pros: - Large apple orchard with a variety of apples to choose from - Can pick unlimited apples (PAY BY THE LB) - pay the entrance fee (I believe it was $8 and take as many plastic bags as you want. You can pick as many apples as you want as you pay by the pound) - Have a pumpkin patch where you can choose your own pumpkin and even cut your own off the vine - Food! - they have a small food stand that services things like hot dogs, chicken tenders and fries, hot/cold cider, etc. - Warm apple cider donuts - They sell boxes by the half dozen (I believe it was about $8 per box) - Ample parking Cons: - Long check out lines - Less than impressive corn maze Overall: A great apple orchard to bring the family, your SO, or go with your friends

About an hour drive from Jersey City with lively scenic views of the fall time color change of foliage. It was a pleasant trip for the family and kids. Covid precautions are required with signs and hand sanitizer. On a Friday there was more than enough room to walk around comfortably keeping more than 6foot distance from other pickers. Everyone was compliant and courteous. The employees greeted us kindly with our Yelp swag bags upon arrival and gave a detailed description of what is in the bag for our virtual cooking class and tour. The employees were very nice and welcoming. With our bags we also purchased a warm box of a dozen apple cider donuts, OMG so delicious. The donuts were soft inside and full of tiny bits of fresh apples and coated with cinnamon on a light toasty crust.  You must grab a box before you start your adventure because they sell out quick. They have a food stand with refreshments, chicken fingers, french fries, cider hot dogs and funnel cake. The store sells a variety of syrups, honeys jars, honey sticks, pickles, pancake mixes, pickles and apple firewood!! There is a list of the variety of apples they grow and which isle they are located in. You can stroll along with your radio flyer or a bag and pick the apples you want. Many of the closer trees were all picked but we sound some really good juicy ones. The lanes were cleared and cleaned of all fallen old apples. The pumpkin patch was fun. The kids ran around until they found their perfect pumpkin. We found some great ones that were in good condition and ready for carving. After the adventure we had some cold refreshing flavorful cider and weiged our picks for purchase. We all left with smiles on our faces eating an apple on our way home. Looking forward to a return visit

Perfect place for Apple picking for those who don't want to be in large crowds and looking for a purely Apple picking experience. I ordered tickets online for 9:30am slot on a Sunday. When we got there, there was a separate line for preorders tix holders and we sped right through. The orchard was vast so we were able to distance ourselves from others. In mid October, there was still plenty of trees with apples. However for the popular variety like Fuji (my fave) you have to reach high or dig your way into the branches to get the apples. There is also a pumpkin patch with pumpkins of different shapes and sizes. I liked how they had red wagons to help you carry all your stuff. At the store where we checked out, we picked up a half gallon of apple cider, some maple candies, bbq sauce, and the best part - the APPLE CIDER DONUTS. They were served warm and delicious. We will be back again next fall!

The farm was easy to get to. Too bad it was a rainy day or I would have walked the orchard. This is the last weekend they're open. I tried their apples and they're very fragrant esp the wine sap. See you next season!

Beautiful farm when here looking to pick apples, and the price was right. The admission and the price per apples are all fine. The farm is very well-maintained. The staff was phenomenal and super helpful and enthusiastic. Don't sleep on the products they sell either, each of them was delicious. We had the apple mustard, the relish, and the pickles. I'd love to go back.

What a hidden gem. I kind of don't want to post this review so that this place doesn't become a zoo. But Riamede is a breath of fresh air. The orchards are beautifully kept and relaxing. They offer free wagons for you to pull around and hayride is included in your admission which was only $6/pp over the age of 6. The apples here are only $1.99 a pound. We drove here after going to Wightmans and discovering that they are charging a criminal fee of $25/pp for admission alone. Riamede had a large selection of apples to pick. The food was delicious - the chicken tenders and fries were gone in an instant. They had hot dogs cooked in apple cider. The funnel cake also was delish. Also, their warm apple cider donuts were the best I've ever had and given I grew up in New England, I have eaten my fair share of apple cider donuts. Forget the ridiculous zoos that are other farms and give Riamede a visit. Ashley, the new owner, has a wonderful farm, service and vibe.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. I would definitely have to say hand down to the cute little store - there was a bakery side and oh my gosh the donuts , the cookies and the Tik Tok famous drink was out of this world. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. They even had a pumpkin cider donut which I never had before. Don't forget to stop by and check them out.

I hear it can…read moreget crowded on the weekends, but on Thursday when we arrived a little before noon, it wasn't bad. They had a steady stream of newcomers but not too crowded. It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

We came on the last Sunday of September, so the pumpkin patch and hayrides were already open (I believe they open mid-September) but they still had some late varieties of apples. They had some veggies available for picking too - tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. You just need to purchase a bag and you can use it for both. Admission was about $15 per adult, which you have to purchase online. Kids 3 and under are free. We did the 9:30 time slot but didn't get there until 10, which didn't seem to be an issue. It's definitely best to go early so you can avoid as much of the crowd as possible. We spent almost three hours there and it was crowded by the time we left. The good thing about going in September is that most people don't want to go until October, so you get to avoid that mess. But the bad thing is that it's still probably really hot and if you're picking fruits/veggies in hot weather, it's not the most fun. By the time we were done picking apples and veggies, we were all hot and tired by the time we got to the pumpkin patch. So I'd suggest doing all of your photo ops at the pumpkin patch first and then doing all the manual labor. They have a few food trucks in one area and the apple cider slush was nice and refreshing after picking fruit. They also have a farm store with your usual suspects - pies, apple cider donuts, pre-made salads/sandwiches, etc., but we didn't buy anything. I think I found our new go-to farm. It's nice that you can kill two birds with one stone. I saw they have U-cut Christmas trees in December so I'm interested to see if they're doing any Christmas events - I wouldn't mind making the drive back.

There are strict rules on keeping the wine within the winery area only, but this is definitely not surprising for NJ and their tough liquor laws. Overall - it's incredibly cool to see a full fledged winery like this pop up on a farm. Besides just serving wine they are keeping the calendar stacked with events and music. The staff is friendly. The wine is delicious. And it was a fun place to take my kids with all of the things to do on the farm. It's safe to say we'll be back, and I'm excited to watch them grow as word gets around.

There are free parking and entrance and their peaches/nectarines were $1.89 lbs. Very reasonable in my book. It's cash only so make sure you bring plenty of cash. When done, you should also visit their store. There are plenty of baked good and other delicious things to buy and they had a tasting station so that was cool too. Definitely don't leave without buying one of their pies. I brought half of their peach pies and my roommate and I loved it. Would I come back here again. Hell yesssss!!! This will not be my go to spoke going forward. It's only about 1hr-1.5hr from Brooklyn.
