After a problem with the insurance company arose, although for personal reasons, Trey was unable to meet them but his John (his boss) and Jason were glad to help Trey out and meet the insurance adjuster to resolve any problems that came up. Having had them recommended them to me by a quite reliable person, their efficiency and reliability makes me recommend them to others. When talking with Trey originally, the quality of product they provide will help us keep a good roof for a long time (weather provided), and at a fair price. NOT RECOMMENDED: - super SLOW (3x slower than other…read morecompanies) - lousy communication - cannot compete on price or speed (no competitive advantage) - IDGAF attitude from the owner, Brett - WASTED 3 days, wanted to waste 3 more days - DODGED a bullet with these guys RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES: - Anderson Roofing - First United Roofing Super slow and poor communication from Brett. This company along with Anderson Roofing and First United Roofing were all thoroughly vetted in the same process, including length of years in business. I submitted quote requests for all three simultaneously in the afternoon on THU 1/8/26. Before 24 hrs passed, the inspections are done and quotes were received from the other two companies. Owner Brett, on the other hand, only reached out to me on FRI 1/9, texted me on FRI 1/9, and responded to my text reply on MON 1/12. By MON 1/12, the two other companies had already called me, done inspections, sent quotes, and followed up again, so I asked Brett on MON 1/12 when I would get his quote. Brett smugly said it was "scheduled", as in still pending, and the quote would take another 2 days. Brett then made excuses that his company had been in business for 37 yrs, so I should be on their time and not the other way around. I had the other companies ready to move forward, yet I look stupid, because I'm waiting on smug and sleepy Brett taking his time, because the company has been around for 37 yrs. (Did Brett expect me to wait 37 yrs too??) Brett couldn't compete on speed and didn't want to compete on price, but I told him that all three companies were on equal footing, so ironically he may have to compete on price since he couldn't compete on speed. Smug sleepy Brett couldn't do that either, so he texted me back saying he declined to bid. Your company may have been in business for 37 yrs, but if you can't compete on price or speed then you are a dead in the water and won't last another 37 yrs. Brett, instead of acting like an owner, acted like a low-level minimum wage employee with an IDGAF attitude - wholly unworthy of my business. So glad I submitted quote requests simultaneously, so they have had the same amount of time allowing me to see who was serious and eager for my business. It's funny how the weed weeded itself out then after being exposed dropped out of the bidding process. UPDATE: Brett isn't the original owner and didn't start or found the company. The company was bought and sold one or more times. Brett is just the current owner, and he can't keep pace with the competition, so saying you've "been in business for 37 yrs" is really neither here or there. I'm not sure if it was just an accident or an act of providence that brought me together with Josh…read moreand Rain Tight General Contracting. Whatever it was - I'm very glad for the experience. One night last June, all the houses in my neighborhood were decimated by hailstones the size of softballs for a good forty-five minutes. When I got home, my house was a wreck: windows throughout the house were broken, the sides of my home looked like they'd been through a hurricane, and without even seeing it - I knew my roof had been totaled (I was right). Needless to say, when I headed in for my shift at the restaurant where I work the next afternoon - I was feeling kind of confused about the sudden twist I'd just tripped on in my life. And then, something nice happened. The first table of the night was a pretty young lady with her little boy who sat at a table waiting for her boyfriend to meet them. While waiting, they happened to overhear me talking to my coworkers about the damages my house had suffered the night before. Suddenly - as I was coming around a corner - the little fellow called me over to suggest that I might want to talk to his mom's boyfriend - who was a contractor. When his mom's boyfriend finally did arrive, we wound up having a surprisingly good conversation. Josh is an intelligent, well-spoken person who exudes a good and natural feeling of sincerity. He gave me some good advice on how to simply handle the situation - whether I needed him or not. After twenty minutes of off and on conversation, the three of them - Josh and Sheena and her son Aiden - all left me with a very good feeling. My spidey senses officially kicked in as we were talking and told me that this actually might be a good way to go - and so I told Josh I'd give him a call the next day to discuss it a bit further. Josh and I talked a few times on the phone over the weekend - finally agreeing to meet together with the insurance adjuster the following Thursday. The meeting with the insurance adjuster turned out to be an extremely good one. The three of us knitted our brains together - and after an hour-and-a-half I walked away feeling like a weight had been taken off of my shoulders - one that was replaced with a nice feeling of confidence that things would be taken care of - and in a very good way. It was at about this time that I met Miller Weedn, the owner of the company. It's obvious that he and Josh were cut from the same mold. He's personable and intelligent - and seems very much dedicated to getting a job done - and done well. Anyway, the rest is history: within two weeks of the hailstorm, Josh had his crew out re-roofing my house. Not only was my house the first one in the neighborhood to get its roof totally replaced - but also - the fellows who built it did an exquisite job!! I'd help to build the initial roof many years before - and kind of feel like I know what to look for in a roof. I have to admit, three months after the fact, I still can't help but admire the sturdiness and well-chiseled look the new roof has as I'm returning home from walking my dogs! In quick succession, the windows were all replaced, the fence was repaired and re-sealed, and the garage was repaired and re-roofed. And to top everything off, instead of just pressure-cleaning and touching up the paint on the sides of my house - as the insurance adjuster had prescribed - these guys went ahead and painted the entire house from top-to-bottom and did an incredible job doing so (I was totally boggled!)!! I might add to all of this, that the fellows who worked with Rain Tight seemed to be aware that because I work at night - I slept during the day - and went out of their way to be as quiet as they possibly could. There were no jamboxes or loud conversations going on outside my window. In fact, I hardly knew they were there - except from the evidence of good works they left behind (as far as the roofers went . . . well - not much can be done about that noise - but Josh did offer to pay for a hotel for me to sleep in throughout all the pounding ((I decided to stick it out - and somehow I survived)) ). Frankly, I have nothing but good things to say about Josh and Miller and Sheena and Aiden and Rain Tight General Contracting. In my life, I've discovered that some of my greatest blessings have started off as curses - and this is one of those bolts of lightning that I'm very glad God sent my way!! : )

Ben was referred to me by a friend who is quite meticulous. After a thorough inspection, I got a quote that was quite reasonable, and lower than a previous one I had gotten. Seven hours later, they were finished. They had an experienced crew of about 7 pros who got up there and fixed the issues, replacing decking as needed and gave us a roof that looked far better than the one that came original to the house. Additionally, they replaced the wind turbines and vent stacks. Finally, they painted all the stacks and chimney a nice grey to match the color of the shingles. Wow, it really looks great! Throughout the process, Ben kept me in the loop, and I was quite impressed. I can't wait to smile the next time the rains come down!
