Worse part was causing delays in getting Dry Force paid by my insurance (again their fault they never submitted packout claim which I was never aware of and paid them from what my insurance had already given me. We live in the Richardson area, and shortly after Thanksgiving of 2025 we identified a leak from an upstairs bathroom that resulted in an area of our garage ceiling that was showing signs of water damage. My wife called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (also a suspect company) about the leak. They came out but really did not thoroughly evaluate the situation, & instead immediately directed her to call Dry Force because of potential water damage. Following these recommendations, we got Dry Force out immediately. I was working, so my wife took care of this during the day. A technician from Dry Force responded immediately, and evaluated the problem. They fed into my wife's fear of mold growth, etc. This technician assured my wife that they could easily remedy the problem, because it did not seem too extensive. They put paperwork in front of her to sign, and told her we needed to pay the estimate upfront before any work would start. We paid them $2700 that day, because of the anxiety they created for my wife. They cut out a 2-3 ft section of the garage ceiling dry wall, and set up fans with makeshift plastic ducts to blow warm air through the ceiling to dry out any water contamination. The weather was fairly cold during this time, and on multiple occasions during the 7-9 days that these blowers were working, I noticed that the air created by the blowers was cold & not warm as they said. We reached out to Scam Force to come and fix the blowers (at least 3 times during that week). They would eventually come out, but frequently not the same day, and it would always be a different technician. They always had an excuse for their delays, but they would fix the heating unit, and at least one of these technicians tried to throw his coworkers under the bus for initially setting up the system incorrectly. After about a week or so, another technician came out to perform an assessment of how well things were drying out. This technician stated there was still moisture, and now they recommended replacement of the damage. They did not offer any further options, and claimed that there were no further remedies for the wetness before leaving. We have tried to call Scam Force on multiple occasions since, to request for them to come back out & fix the issue they said they could fix from the beginning. We started to escalate our request, and a shift manager Frank Savatino spoke with me by phone. He explained that his technicians had told him they tried everything without success. He also informed me that my wife signed the disclosure/liability statement (which was in the initial paperwork), which basically releases them from any liability if they cannot cure the issue, and he also recommended replacement of the damage. I quickly got the feeling that they were wiping their hands from the job, and I barely got an apology. I requested at least some amount of partial refund if they felt they had reached the end of what they could do, but Savatino could not or would not authorize this, and told me he would have the head manager call us back. "Sorry sir, but your wife signed the paperwork." That is what he said. Frank still assured me he would have the manager call us back. I never received a call, and there is still a hole in my garage ceiling today. The leak has since been repaired by a fair & reliable plumber. The damage was minimal, & dried without issue or replacement. There are many restoration companies around so at least y'all don't have to choose "Scam Force". We recommend staying far away & clear of this company, because I would bet this is not their first charade rodeo! Maybe they need to advertise as an improvisation company. I'm wondering if their technicians are actually thespians/comedians. They could be in line for an Emmy or Academy award. What a masquerade! It's not even the money issue. It's the lack of accountability! The fear mongering & entrapment as part of their processes to ensure they get their fee up front, which then allows them to make a quick and ghostly exit. Tyler Gray whose phone number 214-970-7600 goes directly to Building Solutions of Texas over charged me $1,300. while working for VODA Cleaning & Restoration & Building Solutions of Texas at the same time. I installed a new Rheem air conditioning and heating system in February, 2024 at 1802 Maplewood Trail Colleyville, Texas, a rental property I own. My tenant called me and said he noticed a black stain near a vent. I got VODA's phone number from the internet and called them to send someone out to take a look and possibly clean the air ducts. Tyler arrived first at 1802 Maplewood Trail in Colleyville. He looked at the vent and then went into the attic. When he came down, he told me and my tenants that there was mold in the ducts. He told me the chemicals to remove mold were very expensive. I told him I wanted to take care of this ASAP. I walked back to his truck and we discussed a price. He said it would be $1,000 but if I paid him in cash, it would be $800. I asked if he gave Veteran discounts and showed him my driver's license showing I am a Veteran. He said he already did by reducing the price by $200. When he told me and my tenants they were breathing in mold. I was aware this could be a very serious health hazard. I thought about it and decided if I could save a few hundred dollars I would pay him in cash and told him to take care of it. Since I did not have that much cash, I went to the Chase Bank branch which is less than 10 minutes from 1802 and took out the $800 and wrote on the check duct cleaning. Tyler spent about 30 minutes putting chemicals through the system while my tenants waited outside the home. When I came back from the bank he came out, he said he had removed the mold contamination but the ducts should be replaced. He called someone, described the situation and put me on the phone with him. I did not get his name but he gave me a rough estimate of $2,400 and said he would have to come out to see the job to give me a firm estimate. The company he called was Building Solutions of Texas. Since my daughter lived across the street at 1831 Maplewood, I asked him to check her system. He showed me a picture of a large pan in the attic with spots. He said it was mold and would do her place for $600. I called my wife and had her go to Chase Bank to pick up another $600. He ran chemicals through my daughter's system and showed me the pan was clean and It did look like new. .I have since discovered it was a picture taken some ware else. I paid him the $600. I asked him for a receipt. I do not remember what he said but he offered me a receipt from a book of receipts he had in the truck. It was a blank receipt so I did not take it. I am not looking for money back but if he did this to me, I am sure he will try to do the same to others.

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. It is 2025 and we again have a few projects we want to do and some things we want updated. Ray was able to reach out to the subcontractor who worked with us during our 2016 remodel to make changes to our home security system and cameras. Seriously, almost 10 years later. We had a custom built steel gate installed in 2016. Ray still knew who built it and knew what would be involved at adding a new coat of paint. Ray also helped with moving us over to one system like Ring, Nest,or Wyze. Instead of a hodge podge of various products. This has been huge. During that process he reminded us that the new code requires 3 smoke/fire/carbon detectors. We have referred several friends to HDP and allowed individuals to tour our home and inspect his work. Because we continue to be that impressed. Last week we again gave him a long list of normal wear and tear items to more extensive projects and he submitted his review timely and accurately along with a couple suggestions. We look forward to beginning the next list of projects.
