The team cared for our property and will be the only roofing company I will use for repairs, additions or replacement. This is by far the worst place I've ever worked. The people are incredibly fake, and the owner refers to the women in the office as "servants." The office manager is highly unprofessional, even insisting that women wear makeup, despite it not being in the employee handbook. They engage in conversations designed to undermine you in private, but with a facade of different emotions every day. Once you leave, they talk behind your back, making you out to be the "crazy" one. They'll encourage you to find a better opportunity, but when you do, they get upset. It's truly a nightmare. No one has your back, and the business is poorly managed. There is no real HR or any clear code of conduct. It's a stressful, unhappy work environment where you're told what to wear, have credit taken for your work, and are yelled at for personal issues outside of the office. I wouldn't recommend working here unless you're looking for constant stress and frustration. read more

What an experience with CLC Roofing that my family will never forget. My mom's house was in dire need of work and a new roof. Hail damage had put a number on her roof years prior but her insurance company balked at paying for any of it several years ago. CLC Roofing had us file a new claim which we did. When the insurance adjuster initially came out they did it without notice and without anyone meeting them and they declined to paying for a new roof - pretty shady, but par for the course. Marty was able to talk them into coming out again and made sure he was there waiting when they came again. After speaking to the adjuster, Marty was able to get our insurance to pay for the entire roof. Marty is a people person and is an honest straight shooter. That type of personality strikes a chord in this cut throat industry and him and his company will go to bat for you! The input on insurance companies, the handling of on-going communications with insurance, the supervision of the work, the paperwork, the list goes on - CLC Roofing did it all. My recently widowed mom has lived in that house since her and my dad bought it brand new in 1989 and she will never let it go. This company replaced our entire roof as a result of weather (insurance claim). We ended up paying over 2k out of pocket because we upgraded the shingles. A year after the replacement the roof started leaking near where a dryer vent was placed. We called them out since we were still under the two year warranty. Instead of fixing it correctly they fixed it to stop the leak temporarily. The cheapest and quickest way possible (see attached photo) Hence we are now dealing with a leak and damaged interior ceiling with discoloration. How lazy and unprofessional can you be. Don't most companies survive on word of mouth and repeat business. Their luck should be running out soon based on these reviews. read more

I met Jill Sweeny when she came to my door offering to do a roof inspection. I agreed since there had been several hail storms recently. The CLC inspector did a thorough job with lots of details and photographs. I notified my insurance agency who sent a claims adjuster to assess the damage. The claim was approved. Jill then sent another CLC inspector to check the insurance claim details for omissions and errors. There were several found and CLC handled submitting a supplemental claim to my insurance company for those items. During this time I had several phone calls and text messages with Jill working through details of the job. I also talked to the CLC owner, Chad Cross, about a few items and he explained them plainly and in detail. All my questions were answered quite well and project planning started. Daniel Ruiz, the project manager, met me before the job start date to do a walk around of the property. I pointed out things to be aware of and some roof issues that needed repair. He noted all of these and answered my questions about gutter removal scheduling, shingle delivery, driveway access, air conditioner protection, etc. Daniel was on the job site during the project and up on the roof quite a bit observing progress. On the project start date the roofing materials were delivered virtually silently at 5 AM so there was no delay in waiting for materials. Jose Mendoza was the crew chief on the job. CLC has a large roofing crew and Jose directed the work very efficiently. The crew really cares about quality. They repaired many decking issues that probably date back to the original construction. I was outside a great deal of the time during this project and the crew members were very polite and proficient in their work. As the project neared completion there were several crew members sweeping the grass with magnets and picking up every little bit of debris from the job. The clean up was exceptional. I am more than satisfied with the results, the quality is excellent and the street view is great. I enjoyed working with Jill, Daniel, and Jose very much. If I need roofing again I will definitely call CLC roofing for the job. read more

The CLC Roofing replaced our roof over 10 years ago and we are very happy with the job they did. So, we again chose CLC. Marty Thomas at CLC Roofing was our representative. Marty and his team contacted my insurance company and worked on getting our roof fixed. Marty and his team of the tradesmen also worked on maintenance of my home repairing years of wear and tear. I've used CLC roofing for the 8 years I have lived in Coppell and I recommend them 100%. The owner, Chad, is extremely knowledgable about every aspect of the roofing world- from insurance to types of roofing- et al. He met the adjuster at my house in person and helped me get exactly what I needed. My neighbor used a guy that blew in from out of town and is still dealing with going with the "cheep" route so that he could keep a little change in his pocket....big regret for him. I'd recommend using someone else. I am sure my roof is fine but they are dishonest and you have to manage them. They can't do it themselves. Dishonesty example 1: They explained to me how they were going to cover my pool and protect my landscaping with tarps. Never happened. My pool had plenty of shingles, nails, and other roofing debris in it. I called and said "You said there would be protective covering over these things and their isn't. CLC said "We will tell them to stop working so we can get covering put in place" I came home for lunch to check and they they were working working working, with no covering of any sort over anything. Dishonesty example 2: When they came to look at the screens, my wife asked why they didn't ever cover the pool / landscaping CLC said "no we meant we would cover it in the sense that if there was damage we would fix, clean, or cover the costs" That was a lie. My paperwork from them said "Tarps" and "Protective covering" Unmanagable: I had to call them multiple times to get them to put screens that needed replacing. They could never seem to remember what sizes and which were which type. I let 3 weeks go by and no calls no nothing. Finally I called and he goes "Oh yeah we are going to get out there next week. I suspect they would not have come out and done the screens if I had not kept calling" Further evidence was that after all of that I had to call and say "When will you be replacing my gutters? My paperwork shows 340 liner feet of guttering is needed." Same response "Oh yeah, we were just about to get to that." There were also some A/C unit repairs needed and I decided not to even pursue that. I am exhausted of having to deal with this company. Now they want their money and I get this email stating that "The adjuster is dragging his feet." He wants photos of the finished job "And it is not CLC's job to go take photos of the work" The roof, gutters, and screens look good but the process was an absolute beating and I would have preferred a company that was straightforward and didn't lie to try and get your business. They appear to have a lot of good reviews so hopefully my situation is unique but I am of the opinion that they will lie to you, forget about you, and sell you on service that is no better than any other fly by night roofer that comes through town. read more

We were having a difficult time with our insurance company because of a unique set of circumstances. Chad was able to help us out and we got our roof replaced by our insurance company. We had a very small leak after the roof was replaced and CLC had it repaired and the damage done to the garage, at their expense. I consider that to be excellent follow up! The preparation and cleanup is the only thing that was not as good as it could have been! The pool should have been covered from the beginning and the flower beds had a ton of old debris and nails in them. We had major rust spots in our swimming pool and we never thought of it being from roofing nails. When we had our pool drained and power washed this summer, the pool company found at least 20 roofing nails in the drain and they were the reason we had the rust spots. I had to pay to have them sand blasted and a special cleaner to get the rust out. Other than that, no complaints. read more
