Fortunately for us, our neighbors had hired Restoration XP to do repair work the month before, and I remembered the truck. From the start, they were professional, on time, and thorough. Communication with the management and workers was always clear, and the updates kept me in the loop throughout the repairs. They were able to remove the smoke damage, clean the kitchen and restore the walls back to the original look.   Fast forward 12 weeks.   Last week my brother and his family came over, one of the kids left the sink on upstairs. Nobody noticed the running water for an hour or two, and the hardwood floors were damaged. I immediately thought of Restoration XP and called them up, and they said that they handle all types of water damage restoration projects and could help me out once again.   Twice in 3 months, I should probably put you guys on speed dial.   The only company I trust to do water, fire, or mold is Restoration XP in Plano.

I got an estimate from another company. They were going to charge me ALOT to clean it; claiming there was mold growth that I caught "just in time." My husband wisely chose to get a second opinion. We chose these guys because they had treated a friend's house. The man who I had talked to over the phone and the two that came to clean were professional, yet patient with my questions. Lo and behold there was only dust build up! They even charged half the price that they had originally quoted (which was already a lot less than the first company.) We are so glad we went with them instead!

Examples: a chandelier over the tub was mounted to a plastic box sitting directly on ceiling drywall with the cable unsecured along the attic floor; several items required rework, including a custom vanity with an off-center sink cabinet, unlevel countertops, and visibly slanted shelves; the plumbing work had multiple problems and the plumber and his sister were fired. Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.

I was trying to get a quote on removing mold from my vents and possibly fixing ceiling damage. I guess they don't go to condo units all that often because despite telling the scheduler over the phone and in email what my unit number was, it was never included in my address. In my experience, most services will give you a notification that the technician is on their way. I got notified when the guy called me because he went to the HOA office, since he didn't have my unit number. The HOA wouldn't have known anything even if someone was there since I own my condo and am responsible for the inside. The guy arrived, walked around inside with his dirty boots, and only peaked into my vents which were my main concern. He did test the stains in my ceiling with what I assume was a device that measures moisture. Then he said "I have everything" and left. No "goodbye" or letting me know what he saw or what next steps could be taken.
