Called about a laundry washer spin timer malfunctioning. On the Phone they said about $119 to look at it but it should be covered by the repair cost. They knew it was A very old set. So whatever guy comes here for 2 minutes to tell me the same info I told him...cool he wants $500 more for the repair with 0 warranty?? Requested an estimate from this company to repair my refrigerator. After looking at the fridge for 30 seconds, repairman left and sent me a quote of over $2000 to repair 8 different items. I texted him and he never responded. I called the office and no answer and no return call. However they did send me an invoice for $99. The fridge cost me $1700 new and was about 8 years old. A new company came and examined the fridge for a good hour trying to fix it. The repairman finally found the problem and charged me $600. Will never call Valley heating again read more

Problem: fridge and freezer are getting too hot at random times during use. Less than a week after they performed the job: now my fridge isn't giving water. Pros: None. After charging me 175 to spray my condenser with some foam and wipe it off, now my water supply to my fridge has stopped working less than a week later. I called them hoping they would come back out to check it out, thinking maybe they missed something. They wanted to charge me an additional 80 bucks just to send them back out. Go with another company. Run away! Cons: I got charged 175 for them to spray my condenser coils with $18 foam and wipe it off. Prior to charging me the 175, the Tech described the process like they were doing something more involved to clean the condenser coils. I was also told that it would be a 50/50 possibility the solution didn't work. This never addressed the water issue. They never really looked at the fridge thoroughly either , if they did the water issue wouldn't have occured. SUMMARY: It didn't work, I more than likely just need a new fridge and the original issue was never resolved. I'm not sure but I'm certainly never going with this company again to figure it out!! read more

Judy was the wonderful woman who came out. She was professional, detail orientated and highly knowledgeable. She fixed the dryer, then cleaned up after herself. Took the time to explain to me what was wrong and what part needed replaced as well as the cost. She had the needed part with her and got right to work replacing it. Judy I can't thank you enough! Here is your 5 stars! Well it has been two weeks since I wrote this review. I had to call Judy back as my dryer still had the same issues. She said they had gotten a "bad batch" of heater elements but would bring a different one. The first time she came out I hadn't mentioned that she was over two hours late in the 3 hour window. The next time she was over a hour late in the three hour window. She checked the element, said it was good but would change it out anyway. Then she said it could be the board but never checked it. Then said she thought it could be the vent was blocked. She didn't do this part but for $130 to $200 she could get someone out here to clean it. Told her we'd take care of that and would let her know how things were. We paid $100 to have it checked. NOT the problem. Called the office and told them we wanted our money back because nothing has been fixed. Judy called me right away. She said she'd "talk" with the office and get back to me. Nothing. I called the office and asked to speak with the owner after explaining what I wanted. Nothing. That was Friday afternoon. Don't believe I'll hear anything from anyone. So far we have paid them $295 for NOTHING. $100 to be told the vent is fine. Total so far $395. Don't use this company. Am hoping the owner will man up and call me Tuesday. Charles assessed the oven and then claimed he could not find the part needed for our only oven/stove for a week, over Memorial Day Weekend. He put no further effort in. When we told him this was not doable for us, he said there was nothing he could do and referred us to the out-of-state homeowner. Charles then told Aloha Appliance repair to come by "anytime" as we are home "all the time" despite the fact we had an appt for Friday between 2-3pm. Aloha readily found the needed Appliance part through Reliable Parts in Tempe. We got it fixed just before the weekend started! We've been here 6 days without oven, so we LOVE ALPHA APPLIANCE!! Doesn't work on exhaust issues even though the Person who answers the phone said would look into it. Tech says doesn't do exhausts. Waste of my time. I rarely write a review, but my experience with Valley Services for my water sourced heat pump is worth a mention. Curtis and Chris happened to be nearby and were able to pay a visit the same day I called. They tested the equipment and I we talked about what happened. The news was bad, the system needs to be replaced. What is impressive is their experience with this kind of system led them to that conclusion quickly. I had other people mess with the system for weeks trying unsuccessfully to fix it. They delivered a quote with good pricing and told me it would take 7 weeks for Trane to build the system. They even dropped off a temporary A/C unit to help cool my bedroom. Without that, I would have had to move out. They let me know as soon as the equipment arrived and scheduled my installation for just a few days later. Two techs arrived on time, installed the new system and had it running on first try. They did leave a mark on a wall or even a footprint. It just doesn't get any better than that. read more

Valley Services misled me about their fees when I booked an appointment and now they won't stand by what they told me. I called the company last week to get my evaporative cooler repaired and was told they charge a $150 service fee for the tech to come out, but that the fee would apply to any repairs. This seemed reasonable, so I made an appointment to get my swamp cooler fixed. However, after the repairman fixed my unit, he presented a bill with the $150 "diagnostic fee" PLUS another $100 in repair charges. The company rep on the phone had given me the wrong information, and now Valley Services is refusing to stand by what they told me on the phone. They won't even call me back to resolve the issue like they promised they would, and now I have to chase them down! I asked specifically about this $150 fee when booking the appointment because the service fee is much higher than other companies'. I would never have hired Valley Services to come out and do work on my swamp cooler if they hadn't misled me about this service fee when I booked the appointment. So aggravating that the company won't stand by their word. read more

I know this is going to seem like a strange five star rating,. but I contacted Valley Services to fix my refrigerator, Angel came out was very prompt, courteous, and fixed what he diagnosed to be the problem. when the refrigerator did not get cold after he left, I contacted Valley services again. they sent out another very professional tech who was able to find the problem, and said "you should contact the manufacture you might still be under warranty". I called KitchenAid and found out that I was under warranty. KitchenAid came out and fixed the problem. I contacted Valley services to let them know that the part that they had sold me, and replaced was not the problem. Curtis immediately refunded me the full amount, minus the visit fee, and let me keep the installed part. For there professionalism, and honesty, I will definitely use them again. read more

Gave them a call and they sent a young man to my house shortly after. He had us cool in no time at all. Bad news, he said it wouldn't last. They came back on the 5th and installed a new A/C. Coming home from vacation to no A/C is a bummer. After seven years in harmony on the roof two small copper pipes decided to vibrate together to create a pin-hole resulting in the total loss of the R-22 coolant. On the upside it was relatively easy to find with soap bubbles and repair with sand paper, heat and solder. On the downside R-22 is expensive especially when the unit needed 230 oz. Valley Services was very responsive and the A/C was back on line within four hours of the original phone call. There was a flat rate charge which could have meant more detective work but this time the remedy was straight forward. I watched the whole process and even helped out by carrying the remainder of the R-22 off the roof. Still no discount but it was a task where an expert was required. Considering the various A/C parts from compressors to electronics that may have needed repair I felt I got off easy. However, after watching the process and how much open space was available for those two copper tubes I feel like writing a "strongly worded" letter to the manufacturer. One would think the manufacturer would have thought ahead to failure mechanisms of vibrating pipes with the constant mechanical motions of motors and fans. The two copper pipes should have been separated several inches apart instead of in the same vicinity next to the coil where one pipe could mechanically rub against another. Yes, a letter to the manufacturer is probably in order. Maybe even a strongly worded letter? read more

Had the pleasure of using them for service on one of my unit the A/C was not cooling right. I setup a appointment for service and they came on the day we setup. The tech arrive and diagnose the problem right away which was a capacitor not working right. So the service call was $ 225.00 including the part and labor. I want to go on record with my praise for Valley Heating , Cooling & Appliances. Most particularly I would like to express my appreciation for Curtis C. On a hot Friday night ,through their website we placed a request for a technician to come and look at our AC. We needed help because water was leaking through the ceiling by where the AC motor is. Much to our relief Curtis arrived within an hour. He believed the problem to be a clogged condensation line. He did what he could to get it running right away and expressed hope that it was fixed permanently but advised that if it leaked again he would need to try a different solution. Unfortunately within 24 hours it began to leak again. We have an aggravating circumstance in that our dwelling is a condominium. When our air-conditioning system was replaced a year ago we discovered that the smaller unit that was originally installed 30 years ago was no longer manufactured. So a larger unit with modifications was installed but was not at the best pitch . Has a result the condensation wasn't draining properly and this was what was causing the leak. To make a long story short I will say that Curtis came out a total of three times over that weekend. He ran into one or two obstacles that were beyond his control. But each and every time he was cheerful and friendly. Most certainly one of the most personable technicians I have ever met. He resolve our problem by installing a pump to drain the excess condensation out of the house. Valley's website is excellent. I love the convenience of it. The service was very quick to call back and to give updates on arrival times. I also loved that on each of the service calls it was Curtis that came and not someone else who would need to start over from scratch. To top it off our repair bill was beyond reasonable. I would have given them a zero if I could. This company is not responsive at all. We needed our fan motor replaced on our refrigerator. A serviceman came and didn't have the part we needed. He said he could order it and have it in a few days. He told us he would call us when he got it and schedule a time to install it. Several days passed and no call. In the meantime, we are stuck with a refrigerator that continues to need repair. We called them several times and they said they would contact the repair guy who came out. Still no call. A week has passed, and still no response. We continued to call, and today, we gave up. This is a terrible company to do business with. We will never use them again. They obviously don't care about customer service or doing the right thing! It doesn't matter how many certifications they have if the service is terrible. Customers are impressed with quality of service and being true to your word. This company didn't practice good customer service. They just didn't care. read more

So i had use this company back in may through my home warranty. I had no issue back in may. So my dryer is broken so i called my home warranty. I asked for this company and they scheduled me for friday 11/19/21 between 3pm and 6pm so i waited and waited about 530pm the tech calls and has to reschedule. So i advise them if they can be here Saturday 11/20/21 at 12pm it would be good. The tech told me they will be at my house at 12pm on saturday. So about 1230pm the company calls me and cancels again. Advises they need to reschedule again. So home warranty reaches out to repair company and they guarentee them and me they will come out today at 3pm. I called them at 1240pm and ask the repair company i spoke with curtis the owner who advised he would call me back right away. Well 3pm comes and goes and no contact from curtis. I reviewed warranty and see service provider sent the service order back unfulfilled and didnt even have the nerve to call me and state they couldnt fulfill the work today. I have waisted several hours waiting for this company to just be disappointed. Dont use this company as they are unreliable. read more

I want to take a minute to thank this company for making my life less miserable today. It started with Bri Calloway and her great words about the company. I was having a hard tome deciding who to go with because my warranty company couldn't help until the following day. Having three dogs in the house the AC unit is needed especially in AZ when it's in the 90s with humidity. So this company was able to make it out the same day. Martin came promptly and was very efficient and found the problem right away. He is very knowledgeable and honest. Martin didn't have the part on his truck. I think he saw how miserable we were and felt bad for us. He offered to have another coworker come deliver the part. He even called the warranty company and helped them start the process for reimbursement. Daniel showed up with part in hand. Thank God for these individuals who helped get the job done and now we can rest easy tonight. Hopefully my Warranty company will reimburse me now. Thank you again. This company kept telling me they were working with my warranty company. 5 days later I found out they did not even put in the claim. The warranty company was waiting on them to put in the claim. 7 days later I found out they did not even know what type of equipment I had and needed to send a tech out to find out. How can you put in a claim with no model info?? Very unreliable and untrustworthy. I have been without air in AZ, in August, for 10 days now. Valley Heating, Cooling & Appliances has been great. My a/c unit failed back in May (due to fan motor/belt type issue, I forget exactly what it was as I am now writing my review in December). They came out to my place faster than a speeding bullet even though as I recall it was a Sunday night!! Chris, the tech I worked with was professional, intelligent, and explained things well to me. I had my maintenance service today (which I signed up for after my AC went out), and Chris was really helpfu and explained what I could benefit from and the pros/consl. I am considering getting an upgraded system, ie with allergen reducer and humidifier as I have a ton of allergies and very dry eyes. He was not salesy; he was just informative and honest. Dryer had been getting less and less effective in drying clothes. I tried to clean out the vent line myself, but had no success. Finally, on what always seems the hottest day of the year, I broke down and called these folks. Spoke with Judy on the phone, made a same-day appointment (on the Saturday of the 4th of July weekend, no less!). She was very pleasant and accommodating. She quotes me a price for the work ahead of time. They call as they're on their way, so I know they're coming. Judy and her brother Larry are efficient, thorough, and professional. Larry has the right tools. The dryer vent in our home has some added twists and turns that make it very difficult to clean properly. After working for some time, one of his tools broke and he took it in stride and continued by modifying another tool to do what was required. Even after he was able to coax significant masses of compacted lint out onto the roof or into his shop vac, he was still (rightfully) convinced that the job was not done and that there was still some blockage. I went up onto the roof and worked with him from the roof side, communicating via cellphone, and ultimately together we were able to finally figure out how the dryer vent was built (badly, by the way), and that there was one bend that held a huge mass of lint. Once we cleared that, he stated that he was satisfied that the vent was now clear and his job was done. All told, Larry spent nearly an hour and a half hard at work. Once done, Judy quickly handled the paperwork, charged me the quoted price, and when I asked for a card she gave me a nice magnetic card which I promptly stuck on the side of the dryer for the future. I wholeheartedly recommend Judy and Larry. They are professional, patient, determined to solve the issue, and prompt. read more

When our AC went on the fritz in July I was excited that they were able to come out the same day to look at the unit. However, the service man told me good luck before he even got on the roof. It is a really old unit, but come on at least look at it first. He was on the roof for maybe 10 minutes, came down and told me that it would be $675 for a fan motor, but the unit is so old I need a new one and it would be $6100 and regardless of what I decide it is an 80 service charge for his 10 minutes. I called another company who also came out the same day and actually spent time with us explained what was happening. We did end up with a. New unit that was installed the next day for $2850. Told me I needed a new compressor for $2500 I got a second opinion and needed a $270 part. Also 100% sure I got shorted 1lb on frion which they charged me $80 a lb for. The second company checked my frion levels a month after valley "filled" it. It is impossible to lose a lb that quickly I would have zero frion by now. read more

I highly recommend this company. I had them come out for an A/C tune up and while out they discovered that in both units the capacitors were on the verge of going bad - one was leaking oil and the other tested ok but was in rough shape overall. Chris gave me a fair price to replace both of them but when I mentioned I had a home warranty he said that that would probably cover the one leaking oil and I should call them to file a claim as that would be cheaper. He said he wouldn't even charge me for his service call/tune up since he knew I would have to pay the home warranty company's service call fee and he didn't feel like I should have to pay twice. Very knowledgeable staff at Valley A/C and great customer service! I will be using this company for my all of my A/C needs once my home warranty expires. read more

We contacted Valley Services in Mesa about our air conditioning not working early in the evening. We were hoping to get someone over the next day to have it checked. Was pleasantly surprised when Bri answered the phone and informed us there was a Tech in the Fountain Hills area and he could stop over yet that night. Martin came over a short time later and evaluated our unit. He confirmed what we pretty much already knew, our 31 year old unit was not worth repairing. He explained to us what the problem was and gave us options for repair, but again this being an older unit, putting a band-aid on it was not in our best interest so we decided to replace. By the next day the outside unit and inside air handler were ordered, and installed the following day. The entire process was smooth and handled with ease. Also received follow up phone calls to make sure everything was working ok. Martin and his crew exceeded expectations with their great customer service and professionalism. We were very happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend Valley Services. read more

On June 1, 2012, the smaller of the two units I have stopped working. I contacted Valley H & C and they sent out Bruce. He went out to the units and 20 minutes later indicated I needed a compactor, etc. and this could run up to $1,400 or more. He then said the smaller unit also needed work. It was the smaller unit that wasn't working. I couldn't afford that so I had to pay $80 for the service (or lack of service) call. Contacted another cooling company and Eric came out, 25 minutes he replaced two small can looking cylinders, changed all filters and cleaned coils and charged me $125. I want my $80 back, but so far, I have not heard from them. I cannot recommend this company for service and believe thir technicians need more training. read more

My AC stopped and I needed help. The good is I called at 7:30 in the morning and the gentleman was here at 10:30 AM. A really super technician and he diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor in 10 minutes. What shocked me was the price of $275 for a 45 uF Dual Run Capacitor. I went on-line to AC parts stores locally and the part is $50 at multiple places, I called the main office to see if there was a mistake, they said no $275 is the right price for that. When I said you can buy the part all day long for $50 I got a long commentary of direct and indirect cost, providing a warranty for 1 year, etc. They have a direct cost of less than $50 since they buy wholesale so the remainder is a lot of added profit. I get they need to stock it and should be entitled to a profit but 5x seems exceptional to me. I think Valley is likely in line with other vendors in the area but suggest people carefully do their homework on the price of parts. Bottom line - the technician did a great job and my AC now works well. I do think the part mark-up is a bit crazy when it is so transparent what the part truly costs - Larry read more

I contacted Valley to repair a GE Profile dishwasher. Tech showed up and in 5 minutes said it was a pump and motor. Paid $495 to have parts replaced but had the exact same problem the very first time we tried to use it. A second technician (subcontractor) came and diagnosed the problem as a $200 circuit board. They refuse to refund the difference between the actual problem cost and the mis-diagnosed repair cost. I would NEVER use this company. read more
