I had used these guys for years when Chuck was still the owner, ever since ownership changed, they've done downhill. They replaced a fan for me in April and then came out to replace the condenser and compressor in July, and when they did, they also hauled off the fan I just bought that still had 9 months of warranty on it, and charged me for the new fan. I called them/emailed them for two months trying to get answers, only to get the runaround everytime "Soencer isn't in, he'll email you back, he'll call you right back, etc." without follow up. They also left my fan set to "On" instead of "Auto" it took me two months to realize why my electric bill was over 600 dollars, because my fan was constantly running for the entirety of that time. read more

These people came to my house to service a mini split a/c unit. The tech charged me $150 for diagnostics and $100 for 1lb. of freon. He made no attempt for find the leak in the system nor did he offer. I would think if your unit is low on freon any moron would be to determine that is the problem and a diagnosis is not needed. normally they're great but they sent out a new guy today to set up portable AC units until they can fix the main one and HE HAD MY MOTHER WHOS IN HER 60s SET ONE UP because he "has only been working 3 days and doesn't know" wanted us to leave our back doors and window open with these hoses just sticking out for days. that would not help cool the house in 110 degree weather it would defeat the purpose not to mention the bugs and whatever else they would be able to just enter my home. i had to inform him these portable units come with panels so you don't have to have windows and doors open to use them and his solution was CARD BOARD AND DUCT TAPE because he "doesn't know what to do" he was extremely rude and upset the entire time. he even asked my mom if she wanted a job because she was able to set up the unit in her room he was just ridiculous and completely unprofessional read more

Had to have a toilet replaced. Hunter came to install. This toilet has a new tank system , doesn't have the old ball & flap. This new kind of part was defective, didn't work. He called company to see what they could do, was on the line with them for long time. Hunter went totally out of his way to get this resolved. Didn't leave till job was done right. These folks are horrible!!! After waiting more than 24 hours for them to arrive we receive a call saying they're on their way. Exasperated we share our disappointment with "Heidi" to then have her say, "if thats how you feel - go elsewhere. We aren't dealing with you!" Wow. I guess after waiting 24 hours and being lied to repetitively by them we are the bad guys for being upset. I suppose summer in AZ is a time when you should kiss the arse of the AC folks, but it aint happening. I don't care who Heidi thinks she is or that her stuff don't stink! Ridiculously bad behavior! Lies! Kiss their butts or they aren't coming!!! Now here we sit after wasting all of our Saturday night waiting and hoping these inept folks can be bothered to come fix what they've yet to fix so far. What a great service! Not. I have use this company for the better part of 10 years and in three different houses. This morning I called to schedule an appointment because my air on one side of the house quit working. When I called the woman who answered the phone to schedule, offered me an appointment for Saturday evening, I took it. She then proceeded to tell me that it would be an additional hundred dollar service fee because it was after hours when I questioned her trying to understand, she got extremely combative and told me Not to question their companies ethics and I can find somebody else amongst a few other choice words. WOW! Again, I have use this company in the past and have never been treated this poorly over the phone when just trying to schedule and understand pricing. It is truly sad to see the state of customer service when dealing with this company when Chuck worked so hard to build this company on his back without any advertising, Chuck relied on customer service, and Word of mouth to keep his business going. Needless to say, I will not be using them going forward, even if the services were free! read more

I've used them numerous times at several of my properties over the past years, because I felt that they were an honest company and their prices were fair. But that is certainly not the case anymore. Last time they came out, they charged $380 to replace a capacitor. I thought that price seemed awfully high so I later looked on line what the going rate is for that repair service to see if I have just been ripped off, low and behold the going rate is actually $120-$150 (at the very most) for parts and labor to do that service. If anybody wants more than $150 to replace a capacitor, you are absolutely being ripped off. Bear in mind the part its self costs about $15-$20 and it takes about 15 minutes to swap it out, yet Aloha Air Conditioning charged $380 for parts and labor. Huge rip off. It is a shame, because they used to be an honest and trustworthy company. read more

I definitely have to give this company 5 stars. My ac went out on Tuesday. I called them on Wednesday & they were here on Thursday to diagnose the problem & give me an estimate. They came out on Saturday (ahead of schedule) were extremely punctual & finished the entire job w/in 6 hours (less than I expected). By far the WORST company ever. Horrible customer service and liars. Never use this company. They were sent to fix my sisters air conditioner, didn't have the parts so they said they "ordered" it. When told there was a newborn and two toddlers in the house they said they'd bring over a portable ac unit. No one showed up. When I called I was told someone was bringing them out. And still no one showed. They blew us off. Then when we call back in the morning, the receptionist says "they were busy." When we speak with the owner he says oh well, people make mistakes. Open your windows, haven't you heard of that?" Excuse me really? Where are your manners? He was such an ass hole. They discuss me. Do not use them! This is not how you run a business. I am fortunate to have an awesome property manager that takes care of issues that arise. Today was the 4th time that Aloha Air has come to service my unit. The first time was to override the circuit board while a new one was ordered-Zach was an awesome Technician. The second time, another technician redid the overide and he was awesome. I believe he said he was from Brazil- I don't remember his name. He is also the technician that installed the new circuit board. Most recently, water was dripping from the vent where my air filter is and I contacted my property manager immediately. Sherry from Aloha called first thing in the morning and said although they are very busy, they would get someone out today between 1-4pm. Because I work 25 minutes away, she said that they would give me a 30 minute lead time so either I could meet them or my daughter would meet them. At 11:17am, I received a call from Heidi stating that they would be at my house in 15 minutes. I told that I was told between 1-4 and would get a 30 minute lead time and she laughed at me and said they don't have the time to call everyone to give them the lead time and that she would tell the technician to go to the next call and I should call when I get there. I told her that it would take 15-20 minutes to get home and couldn't they wait 5 or 10 minutes for me because if they go to the next call it could take 2 hours. She said that I was right, it could. I told her that I don't get paid if I am not at work and can't afford to just sit and wait for someone. She told me to just go, so I did. It took me 14 minutes to get home and when I got there, no one was there. I was concerned that they didn't wait so I called Heidi. She got very indignant with me when I asked when they would get there and she said that she didn't know and I again said that I need to know if they are coming of if they went on to another call. She started yelling me stating how busy they were and then hung up on me. When I called back it went straight to voicemail. I called my property manager and told her what happened and within a few minutes a technician showed up. I asked him if Heidi told him not to come and he said that Heidi sent him. Anyway, I told him that Heidi has very poor customer service skills and I said she was the "B" word. He was nice and looked at where the water was dripping then proceeded to go up in to the attic. After about 20 minutes, he came down and told me that a part would have to be ordered and they would have to reschedule the service call. Meanwhile, I have a bucket under the vent in the hallway inside my house catching the water. He didn't know how long it would take to service my unit but they would call to schedule. I told him not to have Heidi call me and he informed me that she is the main dispatcher. I told him that Sherry was the one who initially called me and Heidi is a B and I don't want her to call since she was nasty and hung up on me. He then threatened not to service my unit because of me calling her that and that Heidi is his mom. I promptly called my property manager again and gave her the heads up of this dialog. After about 30 minutes, My property manager informed me that I should be getting a call from Drew. I'm wondering how long I will have the bucket in my hallway. When I got to work, I went on Yelp to see what has been said about Aloha Air and I see that I am not the only one that Heidi has been nasty to. I don't know how they stay in business. I want to mention, the technicians were good and I am happy with the service they provide but Heidi needs to understand that without customers, she wouldn't have a job. I honestly would give 5 stars to the technicians and Sherry and zero stars to Heidi. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. read more

I had a new a/c unit installed by another company. Even brand new, it did not cool properly. The other company said they were through and refused to come back out. Aloha came out, found their problem, corrected it and the a/c works great. Service was what a customer would hope for and the price was fair. I really can't believe the reviews I am reading from David L and Jennifer B. I have been using this company for several years and find them nothing but professional, super honest and efficient. In fact, I had one company come to my home and tell me that I needed thousands of dollars in air-conditioning repairs, including new air handler and new unit. I called Aloha for a second opinion. They fixed my unit for less than $100 and said it was just a blown fuse. That repair was several years ago, and the unit is still running! I have referred Aloha to several friends and family and they all say the same thing....THANK YOU for referring us to Aloha. I have never had a bad experience with them and as I said, I am shocked to read such negative reviews. Won't stop me from calling Aloha, however, next time I need service. read more

After reading the previous review it's evident the company hasn't changed. They were called at 9:00am. They still weren't here at 3:00,I called them and was told there must have been a miscommunication but they were on their way.Upon his arriving he determined he needed parts and the parts house was closed. I said it's 95 degrees in the house he said he might have a portable I could use,but then said no they don't and I would have to wait until the next morning when they could get the part. He told me he would be here first thing in the morning. By 9:00AM I hadn't heard from them and called. I was told they'd be here by mid afternoon. I told them that was unacceptable since I work at home. She said she'd call me back. She called back and said that the tech would be here within 30 minutes with the part since she didn't want to have me calling her every 30 minutes. She also said that I was not the only one without air conditioning. I informed her that I was the only one without air conditioning that I cared about. Very unprofessional, very bad customer service. I agree that they don't even deserve one star. read more
