I've been coming here for over a year now, and have always had a positive experience. I see Dr. Hamblin who is an excellent ENT. He has an excellent bedside manner and always does an excellent job with his in office procedures. The front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming as well has his medical assistants. The patient rooms are always clean and tidy. Tips: There is always plenty of parking available. Dr. Nielsen has been awesome to deal with. I have sleep issues, and a CPAP was the sleep specialist solution. After 8 months with CPAP, it wasn't working/helping. Met with Dr. Nielsen and he came up with a plan, that we are currently working. So far he's been spot on. Had a Turbinate Reducion done along with verifying if I'm a candidate for Inspire (alternative for CPAP). Both went well, just a matter of time and patience until the ultimate goal is reached. Simply, the Dr. understood the issue. Came up with a plan to ultimately solve the issue. Now we are just working his plan. Time will tell but this Dr. is good IMO. read more

After 40+ years of using nasal spray daily to breathe, I finally sought a specialist. Dr. Gonzales was recommended by my PCP. The initial consult was excellent. Dr. Gonzales answered my questions, examined me, told me what he was seeing in layman's terms, and recommended a septoplasty and dual turbinate reduction. He was able to schedule me within two weeks. The staff were friendly and responsive to my questions, and provided all the necessary materials. Prior to surgery, prescriptions were arranged on my behalf. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Gonzales and the anesthesiologist stopped by to answer any remaining questions, and explain the procedure and process. My only complaint is he was running late, and we were left in a VERY cold room for nearly two hours over lunch. This left me rather perturbed. The surgery took around 45 minutes, and the staff were attentive in recovery. Dr. Gonzales stopped by again to explain post-surgery directives. I had very little pain, no swelling or bruising, and no need for pain pills. As to the surgery, it's been a revelation for me. I can finally sleep with my mouth closed, and breathe normally without nasal spray. I am completely happy and satisfied with the result. The follow-up visit was pleasant, and again Dr. Gonzales took the time to answer any remaining questions. I would very highly recommend Dr. Gonzales and the staff at Valley ENT. read more

On Tuesday, September 30th I had a "less than favorable" experience to say the least. Hearing someone in the medical field say " you are just pretending" is one of the last things that somebody wants to hear, especially when they're going to a specialist. The staff at practices like these are there to be helpful and to provide a resolution, the receptionist and the doctor were extremely helpful to them, I am thankful. However the person in charge of performing the hearing test at this location has no compassion, no patience and either needs to improve their attitude or find a different occupation. read more

So I've gone here for 5-6 years, DR Gambino was my DR. He always fit me in and I never left feeling I wasn't taking care of. However, he retired. That's the end of the good part. It started a few years ago when during Covid I lost my job and had no insurance, they would not see me because of no insurance although I was willing to pay for a visit, went to CVS instead for an ear infection. Back in September this year 2024, I had some blockage in my ear reducing my hearing, called for an appointment it's was provided but 10 days out, also I was made aware of an outstanding balance which I paid that day. I ended up canceling the appointment because I felt better and the blockage cleared. Now this attempt to get an appointment, looked online and Dr Hamblin next available appointment was December 4th, that's 3 weeks!! REALLY!! So I called to see if I could get an earlier appointment with anyone to cure the ear issues I currently have, I am told that they cannot book an appointment for me because I have a balance in my account, I must call billing 1st. I asked if my account says ZERO online and I have proof it was paid why can't you make the appointment?? Nope that's my answer. Let's just say I wasn't polite, so much for caring about their patients!! No willingness to help just call billing 1st. The place has gone down hill since DR Gambino retired, they moved to Mesa and the low rent quality of the service and location show. More importantly they are more concerned about $30.00 than helping people with an issue. It's time to find a new ENT, don't waste your time or money with Valley ENT. read more

This office is 30 seconds from my house, so I figured it was quick and easy to have my chronic tonsil issue addressed. He asked about my history with sore throats, he asked what medications I had been prescribed for each situation, and then SCOLDED me saying those medications shouldn't have been prescribed and not usually used to treat strep, etc. okay?? Sorry my primary doctor gave me a Z Pack, which is what I've been prescribed my entire life when I get strep. He also brushed off all of my concerns that I've been dealing with for several years as if it was nothing. I am writing about my experience with Dr. Yin. I waited for two weeks to be seen as a new patient. I was nervous but excited to finally go in for my appointment as I was ready to get my problem taken care of. The two assistants I saw were great, as well as the receptionist. If I could give zero stars, I would. Since I am forced to give something, you ladies can share this one star. Dr. Yin comes in to see me. All throughout my explaining what was going on, he would interrupt me with snarky and degrading comments. Any questions I had were answered with only a short "yes or no" and never an explanation. After five minutes of seeing Dr. Yin, he concluded that there was nothing he could do for me but still wanted to see me back on a later date. When I asked him if there was anything I could do at home all I got was a no. He offered absolutely no advice and a diagnosis that I already had from my primary care doctor who referred me to this place to fix the issue. I left in tears. My visit was a waste and it seemed Dr. Yin couldn't care less about me as a patient or a person.He made me feel stupid, defeated, and uncomfortable. I dread going back. I will be searching for a different office to go to before my next appointment with Dr. Yin. What will it hurt to get a second opinion? Nothing. It's not like a second opinion anyway because I didn't see Dr. Yin long enough for him to give me a true diagnosis. I am not kidding when I say I saw him for all of five minutes. I can't speak about the other doctors at this practice, but if they are anything like Dr. Yin, I don't see how you are still in business. Do yourself a favor and stay away from him. read more

I was steered to Valley ENT by my brother who had recurring strep and had his tonsillectomy done by Dr. Hamlin from the other office. I had an appointment yesterday with Dr. Yin. I'll be honest, while looking up the address, I glanced at the reviews for this office, and I got a little more nervous for my appointment regarding my recurring strep. I just wanted to be heard and finally get a plan to end this mess. As soon as I met him, none of the reviews I previously read made any sense to me. Dr. Yin was professional, very nice, gave me the opportunity to ask questions (which he answered honestly), and he was extremely knowledgeable as you would want your Doc to be with something as frustrating as recurring strep as an adult. He came up with a plan for me, and I left feeling a sense of relief. Finally!!! The front desk lady (I did not catch her name) was pleasant as well. I'd give negative stars if it were possible! Valley ENT as a whole has multiple locations so it seems like you cannot find a doctor not affiliated with them. Additionally they don't like for you to change doctors if you received substandard treatment from one. I had pain in my ears- largely in my right one going back almost a year. Saw Dr. Skylar Nielsen June 2023. The wait was ridiculous. Seems anywhere you go the staff are rude and too busy playing on the computers. He saw me for approx. 15 minutes, removed wax and said to use Flonase nose spray and come back. He billed my insurance $777! Cost to me was lost wages, a co-pay. Imagine you went swimming and there's water and pain in your ear then multiply that. Get caught up in visits & tests from my Cardiologist & go back to Dr. Neilsen October 2023. This time I wait over 1 Hour!!! He sees me for 10 minutes, removes wax and says I probably need Tubes but must have a hearing test- yep you guessed it he says "come back" another day. I asked why he can't treat me today. He says go back in the waiting room and we'll do the hearing test today. After 20 - 30 minutes I left. This time he only charges $279. I go searching for another ENT, reading reviews everywhere but mostly YELP that has honest, genuine reviews. I go see a different ENT who - after hearing all of the above - at least gives me the Hearing Test I asked for but tells me to use Flonase nose spray, get an MRI and come back. He charges my insurance $920. Here I am after the MRI that says I now have Chronic Mastoiditis and the new doctor says come in for another appointment so we can "discuss" treatment. I'm in so much pain I go to an Emergency Room hoping for treatment - tell them all of the above and they say in a huge hospital full of doctors, there isn't one "ear" doctor at Banner Gateway! I'll now have a large copay of $200 but at least I got a prescription for an antibiotic that may resolve this but may not. I'm out HUNDREDS of dollars in lost wages, gas, and copays for Specialists and tests and almost one YEAR later I'm in worse pain than ever. Oh I tried to get an appointment at another doctor, turns out she was Valley ENT and I was told they would check with the doctor to see if she would accept me because I'd already been seen at a different Valley ENT office! Good Luck trying to find a decent doctor in Mesa - in America for that matter. read more

This is a great ENT to go to if you want to wait 3 months for an appointment to be told you're being referred out to a different specialist or doctor, and then never receive a call back from the office. I called this office several times for follow up information, constantly being promised that they would call me back, and they never reached out to me. Eventually 3 months had passed by, and I was informed that the doctor's initial diagnosis was no longer current, so I would have to come back in for another evaluation in order for them to tell me who I would be referred out to, or prescribe any kind of treatment. Another visit to the doctors office at full price by the way, regardless of their office's lack of communication. If you have unlimited time on your hands, bottomless pockets of cash, and no desire to see your problems improve or even any receive treatment, then I would 100% recommend this doctor's office. read more

Written on behalf of my mother: The no poach policy within franchises has been deemed unconstitutional. I would suggest that you rethink your similar no poach policy for your patients between doctors. It is not good for your patients when they cannot be seen by another doctor when their assigned doctor is not available for almost two months. I don't mind if my assigned doctor goes on a vacation, everyone deserves one. However, I do not agree with the policy that I cannot be seen by another doctor when I really need an ENT. When I explain to office staff that I don't enjoy being treated like a child asking permission, by having to get approval by my assigned doctor to see another within the same office, and only being told "Sorry that's policy" in a snippy voice. That is wholly unprofessional and not exemplary patient care. read more

very unhappy with Dr. Yin. He is condescending, inpatient- more concerned about documentation then speaking to me regarding my son and his symptoms. I left the clinic very unhappy, Dr. Yin ended up calling me to apologize to me about how the visit went. Dr.Yin literally had a full consultation over the phone with me regarding my sons health which should have taken place at the visit. Went through with the surgery-"my fault"- my son started having ear pain which is expected when recovering- but this ear pain didn't seem normal. I called the office to advised them of his symptoms i was ignored and told this was normal. My sons Symptoms were- fever 102.1,diarrhea, right ear pain with drainage- this again was normal they said. I advised the MA Rhonda that i will have my son evaluated at a Urgent care and her response was make sure you tell them he had surgery 8 days ago. Went to urgent care- sure enough he had a right ear infection, at this point i was very upset. I called the office again to cancel my one month post op visit and to advise Rhonda what they found. She didn't sympathize at all. Dr. Yin end up calling me to talk down to me and to offer me to come in and be re-evaluated as a lot of physicians miss diagnose ear infections- I advised Dr. Yin that i called his office twice that day to come in and i was pushed away- I declined to come in. I don't recommend Dr.Yin! I was warned prior by a good friend but i brushed her off because i felt like we have our own opinions about people but no, everything she felt and told me about Dr. Yin is the same way he treated me and my son. His is insanely rude and condescending, I asked a question and would be interrupted before I could even finish with a sarcastic comment. If I'm asking you a question it's because I'm paying you, "the professional" to educate me, NOT to belittle me. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this experience. I will never do business with this office again, I will be reaching out to a different ear specialist for my child's needs because there's no way in hell I could trust my child's well-being in the hands of Dr. Yin. I had major blockage in my nose due to enlarged and aggravated turbinates as well as a deviated septum. I was advised to do a septoplasty as all other options had been tried and failed. I'm so glad I decided to get a second opinion. My experience here with Dr. Gavin Gonzales was night and day difference. The staff were all kind and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Dr. Gonzales was not only kind and professional he showed interest and took the time to explain things the last doctor didn't even mention. He also did a thorough exam, which did not happen at my other appointment. Moving forward my time at the surgery center was also smooth and with covid precautions the staff were also dedicated and helpful. My surgery went amazing and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Gonzales did not use packing and even with gauze "hitler"mustache" used as bandage over my nose I could already breather better. There was no bruising and no outside appearance of anything done to my face. The first 4 days or so felt more like a head cold then surgery. By the fifth day I was up to my normal activity and while I was a bit tired. I felt almost 100 times better then I did before the surgery. I'm less tired as I sleep much better. Dr. Gonzales had advised I clean my nose and keep using the saline spray; he complimented my efforts and even with a job well done I did need to lay down with a headache and some exhaustion after my post opp appointment. So follow his post opp directions. It's been a month since surgery and I'm 100% happy with the whole experience. Thank you for making my life better Valley Ent. read more

I'm torn on this review because I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Gonzalez. He did my surgery several years ago which has helped tremendously and he has been patient and has really listened to me every single visit. His suggestions have definitely helped me improve from a very nasty sinus infection and I honestly feel that he cares about my overall health and he is very good at what he does. I would give him my full recommendation if you are experiencing sinus issues and because of him, i continue to go. I give him 5 stars. Now let's talk about the office staff and overall wait times. I've visited enough and can definitely contribute to the other reviews that the wait times are awful. I used to get really frustrated and even walked out one time from the patient room several years ago because regardless of your appointment time, on average it takes about an hour to be called back after checking in. It's very much the frustrating norm. Once you are called to the room, on average it's about a 5-10 additional minute wait but one visit took about 20 minutes. It just depends. Wait time - 1 star. The front office staff is cold and prickly with the personality to match. There is very little communication, they are not friendly at all, I've never seen a smile and today in particular during my hour wait I listened to one staff member call several patients for small outstanding balance totals of $17, $25 and $40. She left voicemails with "I'm calling out of courtesy to see if you want to take care of that today before I send you to collections." Fun times. Front office - 1 star. I'd give them a negative rating if there were such a thing, like negative 5. So, why do I go? Honestly, it's because Dr. Gonzalez is a really good doctor and like I said, he has been awesome to me. I definitely wish that the office staff could actually smile and at least act excited and treat people warmly. The entire experience would change and I don't think that people should be turned away by arriving on time if Valley ENT themselves can't honor appointment times for their patients. Time for a policy change and a staff change. In the meantime, plan to bring a good book, turn your phone off and chill for an hour. read more

My kids and I both attend this ENT and couldn't have asked for a better experience. My first born didn't speak much, then had a series of thee ear infections in two months. Dr. Yin put in ear tubes and the ear infections are gone and his talking emerged overnight. He's professional and to the point, which I can appreciate. I see Dr. Redtfelt and she's amazing as well. The office staff were incredibly nice and helpful, when they should have been annoyed at a mother with her two rambunctious toddlers. They have also been great about fitting us in on the same day due to ear infections. This facility cares about their patients in a way I haven't felt about a healthcare facility in a long time. They said they don't take my insurance and are understaffed so they're not calling people to let them know. Instead I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks with a sinus infection only to find out they were never going to contact me. Yeah yeah, my good friend works here but that is not why I've given it 5 stars. I've given it 5 stars for what they've done for my allergies. Allergies? At an ENT place? Why yes! My friend is an ear doc and having known me for over 15 years AND living in SAvannah with me, she knows how bad my allergies were there. They are FAR worse here. I've pretty much had a headache, runny nose, sore throat at least every day since I moved. Allergy pills: please.. worthless and if they don't knock you out they make you hyper. Shots: tried 'em. Eh. I've had to go to Urgent Care several times because my throat has nearly closed shut due to the amount of crap in the air here. So, probably because she's sick of listening to me whine, bitch, and hack up a lung; she told me to come to the office for allergy testing. I balked and told her pills and shots are not working here. This place offers something new: allergy drops. Now, they are NOT covered by insurance because well, the US is always a day late dollar short in medical advances. Europe has been using these for years. Less side effects, you only go in every three months for new dosage/refills, no copays every time you go in like you do with shots, and no cotton mouth, no hyper/drowsiness. I went in and got a new allergy panel to find out of the 24 common allergens here, I'm highly allergic to all 24 . So I qualified for the drops obviously. YOu are given a vial of a personalized elixir made specifically for your personal allergens. They give you enough for 3 months. YOu place these drops under your tongue each morning, wait 3 minutes and swallow it . Boom, done. So far. So good. Thank you valley ENT!!! Thank you for being a innovator here in the States. They were also VERY clear that ain't no way insurance will pay for anything other tan the allergy panel. But, the cost is equivalent to if you had to go in for shots and pay a copay. read more

I'm writing this review for a family member who was extremely upset with their experience: "They charged $30 up front, and asked for an additional $75 (a "discount," they said they would charge $204) for a 5-10 min checkup. They didn't prescribe anything. I didn't find the visit helpful at all, yet I was charged so much. When I asked them how much it costs for a regular 10 min visit, they refused to tell me. $105 for 5 min of unhelpful consulting, what a rip-off." He will not be going back there again. read more

I was referred to Dr. Yin by my PCP. To be blunt, Dr. Yin is one of the most condescending individuals I have ever encountered. I was experiencing severe ulcers down my throat. Dr. Yin took 2 tongue depressors, inserted them on the inside of my cheeks and told me to say "ah". He removed the depressors, looked at me and asked in a most unpleasant, demeaning tone if I had been referred to him to which I replied yes. He rubbed his hands together as if removing dirt from his palms and said, "I can't do anything for you" and walked out of the exam room. I just received his bill. For maybe a 5 minute interaction, and after insurance, I'm being charged $219.94. FYI, 4 days after this appointment I was admitted to ICU. read more

Highly recommended!! Dr. Yin made a huge difference in my son's life. The day after the pressure was relieved from my son's inner ear he learned to walk. Dr. Yin calmed my nerves very well about the procedure. Him and his staff were so nice even though my son was running around like crazy. His MA is so nice and always called me right back if I missed her. I never had an issue getting an appointment. The cost is what I expected for a specialist office with my benefits. You can't blame the doctor's office for being expensive if you are the one who signed up for your insurance plan. My advice is Check your benefits before you go if that is a concern. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Back story - my son has chronic ear infections and I wanted him to get ear tubes. Went to Dr. Yin last year, and he would not give him tubes, saying he had not had enough in his life thus far to warrant tubes. Fast forward a year later - he now has 4 ear infections just this year, so I decided it was time for tubes. At this most recent appointment, the only person (who of course I don't remember her name) that was good to us was the audiologist. She was caring, patient, and got the job done. However, during our appointment, Dr. Yin was condescending, rude, and not informative. His assistant, Rhonda, was just as disrespectful and inconsiderate. I am sorely disappointed at how we were treated as patients and as people who are new to the ENT world and don't know much about ear tubes, considering we are not medical professionals. We were talked down to, interrupted, and felt like an inconvenience in their day. In addition, if you treat children, please take the sign down in the bathroom with the changing table that says "Kindly take your dirty diaper with you".
