Made my Husband an appointment after years of suffering with chronic sinusitis and constant nasal congestion where he cant breath. Pay the 50 dollar copay and the appointment was a waste of time. Not only did they not even bother to scope him to see if there was a problem after hes has had radiation to the sinus area once before but no. they just looked up his no scope, prescribed nasal spray that he is already on that does not work. They did nothing that his pcp hadn't already done. So what is the point of a specialist. The provider wasn't interested in helping him, they rushed thru the initial appointment like it was a follow up. They should be ashamed to call themselves specialist in their field. I will be filing a grievance with my insurance. And so should everyone else that is on here leaving the same review. Obviously, they dont care about their patients. read more

After waiting months for my thyroid cancer surgery, Dr. NIELSON called me less than 24 hrs prior to my surgery time (6:58pm) stating he prayed about this and he doesn't feel confident to do my surgery. Come to find out, he didn't do his research regarding my blood clotting disorder that I made him aware of over 2 months prior to this until the night before. Do not waste your time here. read more

Skip and find another ENT - horrific customer service and experience. Dr. Ketterer is awesome but the office staff kills any capability of keeping customers. Staff offers zero assistance in helping collect images from SimonMed, scheduling appointments/followups, etc. Actually, I was having significant sinus pain and needed immediate assistance. Because I had seen a specific doctor 18 MONTHS PRIOR, they wouldn't allow me in to see anyone as that previous doctor was on vacation. If I could give this doctors office 0 stars, I would. I have called twice; once in December due to a pressing medical issue and then again a week ago. No one ever answers the phone. I'm put on hold for 10 min or longer. After 10 min I hung up. I called a different office under the same name but they were less than accommodating. Find another provider to go to. I rarely leave reviews. I had an appointment at 1 PM for my son, showed up 15 minutes early- there was one person in the waiting room and the receptionist did not speak to me or my son at all but pushed a sign in sheet that was blank at me upon arrival- I filled it in and handed it back and the receptionist proceeded to strike through my name. My son and I sat, the receptionist got on the phone and did not provide me anything to fill our or complete until the 130 PM appointment came in and at such time apologized that she was multi-tasking by being on the phone. I filled out the paperwork and when I returned it was told I needed to fill our a tablet which was not prepared and stood there for another 5 minutes. 50 minutes after my appointment time, we were called back. Multiple times, I had to step out of the room to ask where the doctor was as we were waiting for a half an hour, now 80 minutes after our appointment time. FInally we were seen by the doctor for a hearing test for less than 3 minutes and were brought back for the hearing test- this took about 10 minutes. We were then returned to a room I a corner and waited until 3pm- I poked my head out again and asked what was going on as I needed to pick my other Child up from school and it had already been 2 hours for a simple hearing test. There were 5 nurses standing around chatting- when the doctor arrived, nothing was wrong and he wanted to set up an appointment for 6 months out. I expressed my sincerest disappointment for the lack of customer service, the techs/nurses standing around, the inefficiency and that the ratings of the office staff online were true. I will not be back and will go elsewhere. I spoke with the new manager as they had been through a few and although the new manager stated they were working on it, I will not go back. Additionally, I received my bill in the mail and its inaccurate - it has incorrect account numbers and ugh now I have to call these people but the phone just rings and rings and rings. Likely because they are standing around chatting. I wont be back, I will pay my bill and advise that if you are looking go elsewhere. read more

Dealing with the office staff has been very frustrating. They wouldn't let me schedule with our preferred Dr because they scheduled us with another Dr one time and said that meant my child was his patient now. After going through the process of going back to our original Dr they STILL scheduled us with the dr we didn't want. When I called to get it straightened out, Marci did not apologize and acted annoyed. If it wasn't for Dr Gambino, we would be gone. They need new office staff or we need to find a new ENT Dr's office. read more

The first doctor I saw didn't seem to really listen or care about my issues. They told me I had to find another office and couldn't see another doctor at their practice. Really, not everyone feels comfortable with whoever they place you with. I will take my business elsewhere. So beware if you don't like the doctor they put you with, you will not be welcomed back. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I had a bad experience at another location that I didn't realize was affiliated and since my husband scheduled my appointment at this location with my married name (new) they didn't make the connection until I showed up. They then cancelled my appointment citing I needed permission to see someone else and loudly (rudely) reminded me that I had an outstanding balance I was unaware and so they couldn't accept any request to transfer anyway. All of this after I had already been waiting there for 20 minutes. We have a lot of choices in providers here locally so we'll both be going elsewhere. This situation was an unnecessary waste of time and something that could have been salvaged had the attendant acted with a bit of tact. Hopefully others that come to your office are treated with more respect. read more

Wow. $308 charge for 4 MINUTES and no real work done. Literally just 4 MINUTES with the doctor, just to clean the wax out of my son's ears. They charged $213 just for the visit ("New patient office visit"), then $95 on top of that to use their tiny vacuum to pull the wax out (and they called it "surgery"). So, $308 for 2 minutes of NO work at all. I have insurance, but the cost of this is APPALLING! I'd give them no stars if I could. STAY AWAY from this place. read more

I visited this office for the first and last time. Very disappointing experience. The "doctor" didn't introduce himself and didn't ask what my problem was. I brought a Cat Scan he didn't comment on that either. He rudely commented on the use of nose spray being not good to use more that 5 days. I said I was aware of that but needed to sleep. He than impressed me with his knowledge of the humans physiology: he told me the breath though my mouth. He threatened surgery after my next visit without an explanation. I had an appointment with Dr. Hamlin, initially I liked him, but when I was given biopsy results that indicated cancer, he was very cold. He gave me the biopsy results and said he needed to refer me to another doctor. I wasn't able to ask any questions, because he walked out of the room. He turned as he was leaving and said "have a nice day". If you want to deal with someone without any compassion go to him. His assistant was excellent and was the one who comforted me and got me the referral information. Additionally, I was told that they would contact me as soon as they received the pathology report but he waited until my next appointment to give me the news. They did the same thing with my CT scan. Dr. Hamlin needs to learn bedside manner and compassion, I don't think he sees his patients as people only another body in his chair. read more

Went to this practice because it was listed as a covered provider on my insurance. Dr. Gambino was friendly enough but didn't take my symptoms seriously at all. Additionally I got gouged for an 'upcharge' for "Removal of impacted cerumen (one or both ears)" when all he did was say "hey you got a little bit of ear wax near your right ear drum, mind if I blow it away with my tool" to which I said fine. There was no impacted ear wax, he spent 3 seconds with an air tool and was done to see a fully clean ear drum. Charge for those 3 seconds? $98.37 which my insurance of course didn't seem to want to cover. So after two visits with $50 copays each I still got a bill from this office for $200 and my symptoms remain with no meaningful answer other than well it may be permanent and you'll have to live with your symptoms. Add in some rude support staff who were loud enough to be heard berating Costco's new mask policy for Covid (which is hilarious coming from medical personnel, I work in the ICU in covid land, I sure hope you or a family member don't get covid due to your arrogance). 1/10. Will never be back to this practice for myself or my 3 year old if God forbid he ever needs a good EENT. read more

Called Wednesday at noon to make an appointment and left my information. Recording said if message is left after 4 PM then they would return the call the next day. I called 4 hours before 4PM. Now it's 11 AM the next day and the office hasn't called me back. The way the office runs reflect back on the doctors. I was a patient but not anymore. My appointment was at 3:15 but was not roomed until 3:50 with no explanation or apology about the wait. Medical assistant didn't introduce herself, did not review any of my medical history. She took my temperature and BP with hardly a word. Asked me my weight instead of weighing me. Dr. Gambino arrived, did not introduce himself. Did not review my medical history either. Seemed to not believe my explanation that I struggled to breathe out of my nose for years. After the scope, assisted by another MA that did not introduce herself, he was unclear in his recommendation and didn't seem to conclude that anything was truly wrong. When checking in and out, there was no conversation regarding insurance or medical charges. I will not be returning, but will go elsewhere for an in depth appointment. read more

WORST Customer Service - Not willing to work with a patients needs and request. A few years ago I became a patient of this location. I requested an appointment with Dr. Gambino during a certain time frame due to my work schedule. Dr. Gambino was not available so they scheduled me with Dr. Ketterer. Dr. Ketterer was not able to help me with my vertigo. Now I have a different issue and called to make an appointment with Dr. Gambino. I was told that I couldn't switch from Dr. Ketterer-- What?? I requested Gambino in the first place (he was my daughters Dr. years ago). This is MY choice - and yet I can NOT switch from Dr. Ketterer. My son had tubes put in by a doctor at the office, So now for every check up I sit for over an hour after I arrive just waiting to get put into a room, with my then 9 month old who is now 2, And guess what they don't care!! RUN AWAY!!!! When I saw that this place had like a one star review on here I thought that my visit might be different. It was not! GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! This is the type of doctor that patients pray to not get. Dr. Jon Hamblin spent MAYBE (and I'm pushing it here) 3 minutes with me. He didn't even make eye contact with me. And cut me off when I tried to explain that my nose was broken and the issues that I have with breathing. And he cut me off and said that he doesn't think that I have a broken nose and breathing issues. He didn't even look at my nose. He then referred to me a doctor is Scottsdale where they said that it would cost $400 to even meet with out of pocket. I was waiting on shock outside the room I was seen in and I saw him go into 3 other rooms for a few minutes and referred everyone to a different place. I think this place is a scam. I think that what they are going is booking as many consultations as possible and taking all the money from it and referring everyone somewhere else. When I was sitting in the room I looked around at the medical equipment in the room and it was all dirty. Not dusty, but dirty and dried up. The equipment hasn't even been cleaned in a long while. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I am begging you. Head my warning and save your money and go literally anywhere else. This place was great. The doctors were very thorough in explaining procedures. I feel like I was well informed and listened to about my concerns. I also found that I have the hearing of a teenager! This review is for the poor customer experience on the phone with Natalie. I called to get a hold of the medical assistant from a previous appointment as I am extremely concerned about my condition. Natalie was extremely rude and would not let me finish talking or express my feelings with trying to get a hold of the medical assistant. She was talking over me, raising her voice, and cut me off by transferring me to a voicemail while I was still continuing to talk. She obviously doesn't know customer service and shouldn't work with customers especially within the health industry. I was calling to try to talk to someone else even if that certain medical assistant wasn't available since I was in a panic with what is going on with me. I have never experienced such poor customer/patient service from any doctor's office. Beware of the poor customer service you will receive as the other reviews also explain. However, this is not for the doctor experience as he has been extremely helpful as well as the medical assistant. read more

This place is horrible. Was seeing them because of severe infections in middle both ears and mastoid bones, dizzy, eye pain, neck. Serious stuff that my ent felt was important to see Dr Gambino and they refused to see me because of a past due $60 bill that was insurance issue from a horrible other Dr Lin in practice. Do you believe the ethics of this practice? Small amount of money over bad infection. Will see what happens when I go to ER and get new ct if still bad it will be reported. Every time I call to find out where my money is they tell me that it would be submitted , REALLY !! If I was just rating Dr. Ketterer, I would give him a 5 star rating, but my last 2 encounters were with the audiologist Eric. I'd have a tough time even giving him a 1 star rating. I had a hearing test, received a pair of test hearing aids and had some issues with them. I went back in a few days later, discussed my issues and had them adjusted. I went back a couple of days later with the same issues, just not quite as bad, and asked if there were other adjustments that could be made or if there were other hearing aid brands I could use. I was told that there were no others and that if they were adjusted any more, they wouldn't work. Then the audiologist stood up, took the bag with the test hearing aids and opened the door for me to leave. Too bad really, my wife and I like Dr. Ketterer, but because of Eric, he's most likely lost 2 patients. I've made another appointment somewhere else to get what I need to correct my hearing loss. read more

When I called to reschedule an appointment 3 days prior they charged me a $50. Beware! Had an appointment with Dr Yin, to remove an impacted cerumen in my ear. It was bothering me a lot. He looked at it, said it was too hard to remove at the time. Told me to put peroxide in the ear and come back in two weeks. He said it might require surgery to remove! I cancelled my follow up appointment, and went to another doctor, who successfully cleared the impacted cerumen. I have wondered if Dr Yin lacked the skill to do the removal, or simply wanted to keep billing for repeat visits. Whichever, I will never again visit a Valley ENT office. read more

Office staff needs to work on their professionalism, kindness, and courtesy. I was told to arrive by 8:15 for my 8:45 appointment because as a new patient I had to fill out paperwork. Walked in at 8:06 (I like to be punctual) and was informed "you know your appointment isn't until 9 right?" When I explained I was told to be there by 8:15 I received a snotty "ok". She was more interested in watching tv than helping a patient apparently. I know not everyone likes kids, but it couldn't hurt to be a little more kind when it's a child as a patient. My poor daughter is seeing doctor after doctor so we can figure out what's going on with her. Be a little extra kind to the kids, this stuff sucks for them. The doctor was also a bit rude. When I explained her symptoms, he told me he doesn't treat all of those "so why is she here to see me". Excuse me for trying to be thorough. Even one of the symptoms I mentioned he told me he doesn't treat that and it's listed on the website as being something they treat. He then proceeded to disagree with something another specialist had recommended. An overall bad experience. The lady at the checkout counter was very kind, only positive thing I have to say. read more
