While the staff was friendly, I did not receive personalized care for my specific situation/need. I spent 15-20 minutes with a PA, who took my medical history. She stepped out for 5 minutes and returned to inform me "the doctor" insisted I need an MRI. I've been dealing with severe hearing loss for 15 years and don't present symptoms which warrant an MRI. Particularly from a doctor who never even spoke to me. It felt like a checklist visit and they refused to take any action unless I had an MRI. Both the quality of care and office experience have been disappointing. I have been ignored when in pain told it's normal, meanwhile sutures had pulled through, stents were falling out and documents for work incorrectly completed and then magically missing from my file. I would not recommend Trinity ENT. While everyone from the front office staff to the PA's to the doctors is extremely pleasant and the office runs with incredible efficiency, they will leave you woefully underinformed and in a poor position to make informed positions to best advance your health. In my case, I was recommended a turbinate reduction, sinoplasty, and sinuplasty. I have no doubt that I did in fact need these services as I have struggled with nasal breathing for most of my life. It was at least worth a try. However, I expressed to the PA at that time that I am a high school teacher and would like to do this in such a way that I didn't need to take any time off. She told me that most people are good to go and back to work within three days; so, I scheduled the surgery during second week of the winter break. What she failed to mention is that there is a statistically significant chance of post-operative bleeding that might require nasal packing in the second week of healing. After looking into it, this risk is statistically significant with just turbinate reduction alone, and the odds are amplified when that surgery is combined with others as in my case. I was never warned that this was even a possible outcome. Nasal packing comes with a plethora of terrible side effects that had me sidelined (horrible headaches, inability to breathe through the unpacked nostril, an inability to sleep, exacerbated sleep apnea, and so on), and so I had to take days off from work anyway. If the PA had informed me of this possible outcome, I would have put the surgery off until summer to ensure I had enough time to account for all contingencies. Because she left me underinformed, I had to burn sick days and set my students off on an inefficient start to their second semester. Continuing with the nasal packing issue, when the packing was placed, I was not warned about ANY of the possible side-effects I would experience. Once again, the doctors left me with a fun surprise rather than working to leave their patients as informed as possible about the treatments they were receiving. In addition, quick research through the NIH database of medical articles shows that nasal packing isn't even the recommended first practice in cases of posterior epistaxis because of the horrid side effects, risks of Toxic Shock Syndrome, and the high rate of failure (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3102162/). Cauterization is the recommended first practice with nasal packing acting as a follow up when cautery cannot be performed for some reason. Cauterization was never even mentioned as an option for me. In my follow-up appointment to have the packing removed, I asked the doctor what my other options are if a rebleed occurs because I wasn't going to be doing the nasal packing again. She shrugged and said packing is the only option. So, either they are ignorant of the cautery option, lied about the cautery option, or just didn't feel like explaining why cautery wasn't an option in my case. No option paints their care in a positive light. Ultimately, I should have known that this office is focused on sales rather than patient care. I went in to get my throat examined after an injury and ended up getting a sales pitch for surgeries on my nose. That's my bad. I sniffed the sales bit at the time but had also been considering this surgery for a while, so I went with it. I should have assumed the sales came not just with pushing the surgery but presenting it in its most positive light possible without discussion of the likely struggles or drawbacks. While sitting in the front office for my appointments, there was ALWAYS someone calling in about the nasal packing; so, the office knows this is a common occurrence and fails to mention it before you have the surgery. So, this is yet another instance in present medicine where you cannot trust your doctors; you have to inform yourself fully. Here's to hoping the surgery at least has its intended effects once I'm healed up! read more

I had a number of appointments and a small procedure done at Trinity ENT. I felt the quality of care was high. Not only did I feel like the staff was friendly and supportive, but I also didn't feel like my time was being wasted. They recommended a procedure that other ENTs were afraid to do, and they performed it quickly and with ease. My recovery has been extremely smooth, and I felt comfortable the entire time I was going through it. My procedure required anesthesia where I was fully under, and it went perfectly fine. Had balloon sinus surgery here and wish I hadn't. Now I am stuck with the worst sinus infection of my life. You don't see the doctor, only the PA. Asked to see the physician, but she isn't ever available. The PAs are nice, but really, I want to see why this happened to me. I lost hearing in my ear; I am continuously congested; I am miserable and they don't care. This place is a joke. They just want to push sinus surgery on you without any prep, any pre planning, or understanding of your health. I hope I can get over this but it's been 2 months and I am still sick. I had been to Dr. Vats in the past with success with issues with my ear and an infection so I thought I would go back when I started having vertigo issues. Going back to her office, I have not seen her as a patient at all this time. I have been there for an appt, 2 ct scans, arranged for a surgery in her office, which was supposed to be scheduled with HER and several follow up appts. I have not eve spoke to her once. I only see the PAs in her office and it was her partner that did my surgery. I ended up with a deviate septum repair along with a balloon procedure to my sinuses and eustacian tubes to my ears. I've had nothing but issues with my left ear since to the point that I cannot hear more than what the Peanuts teacher says in that ear. I am also charged (and my insurance) ridiculous amounts for 'an office visit' where I pay a co-pay each time but they still think I owe money after my insurance is billed. I've not had this with any other office visits I have at other doctors or urgent care locations. so why are they ripping me off? This office website says 100% satisfaction guaranteed, well, I'm not satisfied and am having to pay way too much for this care. I have been on antibiotics and steriods twice at their suggestion and am having other health issues from that and those meds have not taken care of the issues either. Stay away from here! read more

I think the staff is awesome and very professional. My issue with Dr. Vats and Dr.Kumar is you don't see them Pre or Post surgery. I believe you should see your doctors, as well especially when I was having issues after my procedure. I have had such a difficult time with this office. I got sent here because of a medical condition recommended by another office, my surgeon the entire time has talked to me and treated me like a child, the staff has consistently been telling me different thing regarding my medication, and keep changing the times of my surgery Im beyond frustrated that this is happening. They had insisted that if I wanted my surgery scheduled sooner it would have to been split into two parts due to the medication when that was incorrect they told me I didn't have to take a medication of which I was supposed to be taking after the first surgery and this is now the second time they have rescheduled my surgery. please do not come to this specialist find another office it's not worth it. read more

I initially saw Susan(PA or NP) and she was great explaining what was going on with my sinuses and ear. I had to delay the sinuplasty and polyp removal a couple of months due to planned travel. I met Dr Vats the day of the surgery(pre and post) and I was very impressed! She took the time to explain how things looked and was glad I was feeling better. Same impression on the post op visit. The staff is also amazing and helpful. I sense a real teamwork ethic in this office as I had to call several times since I was self pay and had to get additional info for my health shares provider. Trinity ENT office is in Gilbert AZ is awesome They were able to see me the same day I called in, their front desk assistants (Kathy, Alexis and Morgan) were outstanding in assisting me on the phone with detail directions and sending the link to filing out the new patient form. They also greeted me with a smile and made me feel comfortable Cassandra was very knowledgeable, listened to me and took the time to explain what needed to be done Trinity ENT was great, better than Biltmore ENT in Mesa, that required a hearing test(which was 6 weeks out) before they would address the severe ear pain that I came in for!!! At Trinity ENT the first thing they did was a CTSCAN Still confused why Biltmore ENT required a hearing test before addressing my level 7 ear pain!!! read more

My husband had an appointment to remove wax from his ears. Before they would do that he was told he had to have a scan of his head - prior to even examining him! Just a way to help pay for the machine??!! Scan was ok. A small amount of wax was removed and then they pushed for nasal surgery! They went ahead and contacted his doctors even after we said we would think about it!! Almost pushy and pressure like a car sales person! Will not return ! read more

I spent the night with my wife in the ER due to an uncontrollable nose bleed, gushing is an appropriate description! The ER doctors were awesome and they got it under control. The told her to follow up with Dr Vats (ENT). So the morning comes and I call to set up the appointment. The receptionist comes on and says the doc is booked for at least two weeks and then puts me on hold. The a second person comes on and rather rudely asks what I need, what was she seen for and then abruptly says we don't treat nose bleeds. In my head I said to myself... ear, NOSE, and throat... They called two weeks before the scheduled appointment to say they need to reschedule due to physician going out of town. You time is not more valuable than mine! Trinity was my hope of Dr. Kumar and visited last November 2021 had an detail examine about my issues and later asked to get my previous reports to refer my problem . The worst part is no email I'd for this place , so I have drove all the way to clinic 20 miles to give the hard copy couple of days after my visit . Here it started doctor referred to GI place and they referred to take an endoscopy and due to my sudden travel and out of town I couldn't take for 15 days later I try to take my test I got a call saying no need to take endoscopy . Doctor got my reports after 20 days which is shocking me , Bcz I would have spend 2000$ knowingly !!! That's the follow up of staffs from this place ? Due to frustration and no follow up from this clinic I moved to other doctor and now I figured the issue and under medication. Shock to see the doctor visit charges are 326$ . Scheduling was super easy and I was able to get in quickly. I was super nervous to have surgery since I have white coat syndrome, but Dr. Kumar and Dr. Vats were both extremely comforting and friendly. Not to mention, the surgical tech (Geena) was so sweet and attentive to how I was feeling throughout the procedure. Surgery isn't fun of course, but I had a great experience! Dr Vats is awesome. Zero stars for the office staff. I've called multiple times to get in for ear infection before it gets bad it takes less than 5 min to see them and get their special medication. But no they don't even have 5 min to see me. In the past they would let me do a walk in. But the person has no compassion to get me in and now by time I get seen I'll have a full blown ear infection and have to go on antibiotics. read more

When I pointed to my throat because I was drowning, he said I had to wait because his assistant was out of the room. Honestly, I went to several doctors. This was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. I wish I had found them sooner.

I saw Dr. Naveen Kumar last year and had a consult and had my tonsils removed. He had a different staff at the time (Which he completely replaced very recently because of poor performance), but I never really had an issue. I went back again this year because during my initial consult from the year prior, the Dr. mentioned I had a pretty bad deviated septum. I never really thought about it and kind of ignored my breathing issues as I thought it was "Normal" or "Allergies". Dr Kumar is always polite and straight to the point. I think he has a little bit of a dry sense of humor, which I personally think is hilarious (Fair warning!). He asked me routine questions and explained the procedure. I did a lot of research on it prior (and I was upfront about this). He was able to answer ALL of my questions and concerns in that initial consult and gave me additional information. I appreciate Dr. Kumar because he seems pretty upfront with everything. Not much beating around the bush. I just got a call this morning to get my procedure scheduled. It took about two weeks to get my procedure scheduled, but that's because my insurance is being difficult. Trinity ENT has been GREAT with working with my two insurance companies and helped resubmit bills numerous times to the insurance companies because they were (insurance company) were having issues figuring out who was primary and who was excess. Kumar and his staff were able to resolve it with basically no effort on my end. I have, and would continue to refer friends and family to Dr. Kumar, and I'm genuinely shocked by the negative reviews here. Maybe that's why Dr. Kumar completely turned over his staff. Came out to the hallway and made sure they didn't forget about me. Told he's backed up, 20 more minutes atleast. I said this is BS, don't charge me and I left.. I have never been to ENT that did the ct scan in house, I loved that I didn't have to go to different places just to find out what was wrong. I am currently seeing Dr. Kumar for throat issues I've developed a couple months ago. Both appointments I've made with staff over the phone have been wonderful. They are extremely professional and friendly. I was able to get in quickly for both appointments and have had no issues with scheduling. I waited 6 months for an appointment with Dr Vats, having to cancel and reschedule twice at their request. The office was very nice and the Dr was mostly on time. I have had a cough for years and when the Dr came in the room she said that sort of thing happens all the time, even her mother has had a cough for years, you will probably never know what is causing it. I asked about the ringing in my ears and hearing loss and ear pain and she looked in my ears and said they looked good. She put the scope in my nose to see my throat and said it looks fine. Then started to walk out the door while I was still talking. After waiting 6 months I got less that 6 minutes of her time. I was also told they take my insurance, but after 6 weeks I got a rather hefty bill from her. Not impressed at all read more

Quite disappointed with my visit. Called for an appointment with Dr Vats three weeks ago, was told I would have to wait until mid October for an appointment but I would be able to see Dr Kumar and then follow up with Dr Vats because I was in pain for a reoccurring ear infection diagnosed by my primary care physician which antibotics was not working to eliminate, additionally my hearing is compromised. Was excited because they said they would be able to fit me in with Dr Kumar the following week. The afternoon prior to my appointment their office called and said they would need to reschedule me for the following week. I was distressed but figured I would not allow this to define my experience. I agreed to an 8:00am, first appointment of the days. What could be better. I was told to arrive at 7:30am, which I did. I was placed in an examination room, Dr Kumar did not enter the exam room until 8:30 and then spent only a few minutes with me. I filled out paperwork with my medical history and from his questions it appeared he was not prepared for the appointment. He was dismissive and told me an ear infection was not present but he did see moisture in my ear, which could possibly be an infection. The proceeded to tell me it's not that I don't believe you. I was floored by this statement. Was he implying I was fabricating the ear infection? Uncertain of where this conversation was headed, he ended it by saying it's probably just hormones or allergies. I was told to use Flonase and follow up in 4 weeks. Left with an uneasy feeling from my appointment, I waited a few days to think it over and decided to call today to see if I could schedule a follow up with Dr Vats. The receptionist told me "we don't do that here". After explaining the situation and asking once again to schedule with Dr Vats, I was told, " sorry we don't do that here and there's nothing that I can do for you." I said ok, please cancel my appointment and the next thing I know she had hung up the phone. Super disappointed because this practice was given to me as a recommendation. My advice is to do your research before making an appointment here as it may be an epic disappointment and you may just be left with no resolution and still in pain. read more
