Everyone at this clinic knows their job very well. The procedure is no big deal. Good doctors. The real hero's of this office are the two ladies that check in three surgeons patients for the entire day and can multitask the paperwork I was to have done upon arrival. My husband had a preventative procedure by one the Tri City physicians in the fall of 2020. We recently rec'd a notice from a collection agency from this visit. After 4 messages to their billing office a return call was made and they left a msg saying it was from a deductible. My husband called Irma back to say this was preventative and should not have incurred a balance. Also, we never rec'd a bill or call about a balance. Irma states this is how the insurance processed the claim and we should have known to pay, from the EOB, even though EOB's state "this is not a bill". She admits they input our hm address wrong and this is why we never rec'd a statement. She maintains this is our responsibility and won't do anything. We have no way to go back over 4 years and try to contact the insurance (that we no longer have) about the processing of the claim. Irma was not interested in reasoning and had no explanation other than, I guess we input the address wrong but you still should have known about a balance and paid this. Seems like a very poor way to run your practice, in my opinion. What is unfortunate, is the physicians we have used from this practice are all very good. I see another review states the same situation over receiving a bill from 4 years earlier. Seems this practice needs to take a look at their billing staff and office management. read more

I saw their PA yesterday for what I thought was a hemorrhoid issue. I was incredibly nervous. She was so sweet, very fast, and I wish I had gone sooner. It turns out I have a fissure which should be treated differently than what I was doing at home. I am already feeling better physically and mentally. If you are hesitating to go see a doctor, I would encourage you to put that aside and do it anyway. It's truly not so bad, and they are the experts in how to care for your body. read more

Also watch out for adding an out of network anesthesiologist and staff at last minute before procedure and try to charge $1000's for the extra last minute on the table switcherooo. read more

Extremely unprofessional and absolutely no respect for people's schedules- they literally expect you to cancel your entire work day for your appointment so that you can be available at the whim of some lazy contracted nurse. This is the second time in a row my appointment has been cancelled with less than 24 hours notice after rearranging my entire work day (twice) because they only do this procedure one day a week. BEWARE: they will overcharge you and violate the NCCI coding policy. I went in to have one thing looked at and took maybe 3-4 minutes of the PA's time for an exam, nothing was treated and no services were performed aside from examining my area of concern. I got charged twice, once for an office visit and once for a surgical procedure. I called (several times with no call back) and finally spoke with their office manager, Irma, who was very rude and also informed that the exam is not included in the office visit and they classify it as a surgical procedure and that this is how all patience are charged. Even if that's how they choose to classify it, which I've never had a doctor's office do, they are still violating the NCCI policy. Below is the NCCI policy for reference of the violation: According to the NCCI coding policy manual: "If a procedure has a global period of 000 or 010 days, it is defined as a minor surgical procedure. In general, E&M services (office visits) on the same date of service as the minor surgical procedure are included in the payment for the procedure. The decision to perform a minor surgical procedure is included in the payment for the minor surgical procedure and shall not be reported separately as an E&M service. However, a significant and separately identifiable E&M service unrelated to the decision to perform the minor surgical procedure is separately reportable with modifier 25. The E&M service and minor surgical procedure do not require different diagnoses. If a minor surgical procedure is performed on a new patient, the same rules for reporting E&M services apply. The fact that the patient is "new" to the provider/supplier is not sufficient alone to justify reporting an E&M service on the same date of service as a minor surgical procedure. The NCCI program contains many, but not all, possible edits based on these principles." read more

I took my father here due to extreme pain and an anal fissure, he is 86. We could only see a PA not a surgeon/doctor on both visits over 4 weeks. They only prescribed cream that didn't work. My dad is high risk for surgery with general anesthesia. I asked for surgery with a spinal block. They put us off another 2 weeks then rescheduled that out 4 weeks. I took him to Dr Tahir, where you are actually seen by the surgeon. He got clearance from his cardiologist and will do the surgery with a spinal block. Go where you can be seen by people who care. read more

Had my first colonoscopy with Dr. Anderson. I thought it would be really difficult to say it was a great experience, but it's bit! He is awesome, little hands, quick exam, scheduled within two weeks, followed the instructions for prep, and had the procedure quickly... All of which helped ease my concerns quickly. Now, I don't have to see him for "13 years" (I'm 37), I hope he doesn't retire before then!!! read more

I had part of my colon removed to buy Dr Hakiman 5 years ago. It was laparoscopically done. It was the most painful thing I have ever had done in my life. However, Dr Hakiman was compassionate and very good surgeon. I also had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done prior with Dr Venkatesh. Although I hate the prep my colonoscopy and endoscopy went off very well without a hitch. I recommend this office highly. read more

I enjoyed it so much my first time, I went back for round two... mostly because Dr Larson didn't let me expire on the table back in 08. This proctologist came highly recommended from a few medical professionals at my church, so that made me feel at ease. One strange thing... They have several young girls working the front office. So, after going back to the examining room, stripping down, laying on my side and brandishing the brown-eye, I was surprised to watch as one of the young ladies walked in the room and held the MAG Light, illuminating my grotto for the doctor. The first time this happened, I thought I was imagining it. The second time it happened, I figured "what the heck. She's already seen my nooks and crannies". Poor girl read more

OK it seems really really weird to actually love a colorectal and surgery center but if you've got to do it this is the place to go. Dr. Hakiman before my surgery and he was absolutely fantastic. I had a lot of questions and so did my significant other and he was very patient and understanding answering all of our questions. I was very anxious before the surgery and he helped calm me down along with the rest of the staff at the surgery center. Everyone that I worked with there was fantastic, they all had understanding and patient personalities. They made me feel very comfortable as I was heading into a procedure in a very sensitive area. I work in healthcare myself and I know how important it is to treat patients the way that I was treated. Thank you all very much! I am one day post surgery and feeling fantastic! read more

It feels weird being a "fan" of a colorectal doctor. ;-) As near as I can tell this is just Dr Venkatesh. I've never seen anyone else here, or at least not in a long time (he had a lady doctor there many years ago, but I don't see her now). Dr Venkatesh came highly recommended when I first saw him many years ago, and I have found him to be thorough and gentle. (And "gentle" is very important here!!) The wait this time was a bit longer than usual, but when he came in we discussed the problem and then he got out his scope and checked it out. His assistants are all female, which might bother some people. I really didn't care. I'm just another "face" in the crowd to her, I'm sure! :-) I would recommend Dr Venkatesh for all your colorectal needs. He often is one of the "top docs" in that annual ranking published by one of the local magazines. read more

Their billing department is terrible! We owed them $34 and we paid it, but we kept receiving letters saying we still owed it. We called them three or four times and told them the payment had already cleared through our bank, but we still got letters! Finally we got a letter saying they were going to send us to a collection agency, and since it was just $34, my husband went ahead and just paid them again. We were tired of fighting them for 34 measly dollars. It wasn't worth ruining our excellent credit over. It was very frustrating though, because they just wouldn't listen to us! read more

Is it possible to leave 0 stars? Dr venkatesh lacks all empathy, compassion, and respect for patients that one would presumably have in his field. I feel sorry for his colleagues who are associated with him through this practice. Based on the other reviews here, it wasn't just a "bad day" at the office either for the way he interacted with a patient who severely needed his help, or hell, even a caring word. I went here nearly 1 1/2 years ago for rectal pain and incontinence. ER had diagnosed me with a rectal prolapse. Dr. K. Vankentesh looked at this prolapse with a mirror while I was on the toilet. Dec. 2016 he did a major surgery through my abdomen which required a week in the hospital and a horrific recovery. This rectum specialist guy has never had his finger in my rectum farther than 1/2" , he did not do a colonoscopy prior to my surgery. My symptoms were NOT improved, he ordered a CT scan and said my symptoms were due to my spine. The spine surgeon got ahold of me and did major surgery May 2016. Another week in the hospital, multiple fusions, screw, bone grafts (which have not grown) it is failed back surgery and my symptoms remain the same only worse. I have been back to Krishna Vankentesh multiple times as recent as last week because I still have severe rectal pain and bowel incontinence, actually I have EVERY SINGLE symptom of rectal cancer. And each time he sends me packing rudely saying, you don't have rectal pain it is not even possible, you have a bad back, it is your nerves. He even "grabbed" my hand as I tried to touch my rectum to show him where the pain is and he rudely pulled my hand away saying "DON'T" touch yourself" As I was leaving I looked behind me to see his Assistant laughing at me. The Nuero Surgeon has cleared me free of nerve compression, however if there is painful nerve contact from a growth in the rectum the only way to see it is with a colonoscopy or Sigmoidoscopy. NO exam or testing has ever been done to address my symptoms so I have finally made an appointment for a 2nd opinion, an exam and tests. This Dr. is very concerned about my symptoms and his asst. will call Mon. to advise where they were able to squeeze in a stat appt. Maybe I will finally get some help. I wouldn't recommend going to Tri City Colorectal simply because of the bedside manner and staff. read more

I find parking to be easy to find here, and it's nice they have a drive up area to drop off people who have difficulty walking any distance. It's clean inside, and the lobby is large. They could use more magazine's in the lobby, as well as better programming on the lobby's television, just my opinion. My doctor is Dr. Venkatesh, Sr., and he's just about the best I've had in years, One complaint, you could possibly find yourself waiting alone in the exam room for longer than expected, and it doesn't seem like it's because he's spending extra time with his patients. I liked Dr Venkatesh, but .... after my first preventive procedure with this organization I was billed by not one, but two separate "out-of-network" anesthesiologists. 800 dollars EACH. For a procedure that should be covered 100 percent. 4 years later when scheduling I insisted that they provide me with an in-network provider and was told that if I changed the type of medicine used by the anesthesiologist that is would be in network. I didn't get that, but agreed. I was never billed, until 11 months later -- again by two separate anesthesiologists. Out of network again. I am now stuck again with a 1000 dollar bill for something that is supposed to be covered 100 percent as preventative. The scheduling person does NOT care about you at this place and will not give you a straight answer. Their anesthesiologist providers are very shady and routinely practice double billing. Stay away, especially if you are with Cigna. read more

We were referred to Dr Krishna Venkatesh at Tricity Colorectal August 2017 by my husband's gastroenterologist after a colonoscopy that showed that his cancer looked like it was back. We were devastated already obviously after being declared cancer free only 4 months earlier. Dr Venkatesh did a rectal exam in his office and said my husband needed surgery right away and would need a permanent colostomy bag. Juan had already had a temporary one which he HATED so he was so upset. We went in for the surgery at Chandler Regional (which is awesome by the way) Venkatesh comes out to the waiting area where I am with Juan's whole family and he tells us that he couldnt get the whole thing out. That he took out what he could and cauterized some also but that there was nothing else that could be done. He said my husband would have to have VERY aggressive chemo and since he had already had radiation that he might be able to have a boost but that was it. We asked if the chemo shrunk what was there if they could go back in and remove the tumor. He said "There will be no more surgery." He basically gave my husband a death sentence. Worse than that even though was his demeanor. He was so cold and blase' as if he was telling us he couldn't remove a skin tag. He is not an oncologist and it was not even his place to talk about other treatments and their possible success or failure. He took away our hope which is so important when going through cancer treatment. Fast forward to yesterday at Cleveland clinic the surgery here was a success! Shame on you Dr Venkatesh. The check-in girl is very nice and friendly. That said, we were very disappointed that they schedule your check-in 1 hour before your actual surgery time. It DOES NOT take an hour to sign 3 pieces of paper. Huge waste of time. Also, I would not recommend Dr Campbell at all. He was extremely rude to us after procedure was over. Will NOT be going back to this facility. read more

TriCity Colorectal and Southwest Endoscopy and Surgery Center (since they are both part of the same company) needs to reevaluate it's protocol. I didn't even receive a phone call from the doctor or the surgery center to see how I was doing after the deliberate and negligent disregard for my Patient Rights. I had my colonoscopy done in August 2011, I specifically told admitting nurse about medication allergy/reaction and that I did not want this medication administered and it was noted on my allergy wrist band. When the OR nurse, Roberta Huffer, RN, took me back, she didn't bother to verify medication allergies and when she was injecting me I asked what medications she was giving me, she told me "this is all we give here". That was the last thing I remember before waking up in the recovery room. I was advised by the surgery center to file a formal complaint with the Arizona board of nursing which I have done, but was also informed by them the "investigation process" could take a year. Wow! And this nurse is still allowed to treat patients. Makes me rethink my career of 20 years in the medical field if it takes killing someone before their held accountable for their actions. I do not recommend this surgery center. read more

My 79 year old mother had a scheduled colonoscopy yesterday and Dr Campbell got delayed. I understand emergencies happen and we were informed he would be 30 mins late upon check in to the hospital. At 2:32 I noticed a missed call on my phone but no message. I called the office back as I am her emergency contact to find out that he would be another hour later but nobody bothered to reach out to me to let me know. It turns out Dr Campbell didn't make it and the surgery was cancelled. They asked her if she could fast ANOTHER day and come back tomorrow for a 2:30 appt. Again they did not bother to reach out to me her caregiver to see if this was a possibility. When I called the office to ask why did you not bother to reach out to me? They claimed it was my fault for not staying with her at the hospital even though it is an out patient procedure and I had her other caregiver picking her up post surgery. Hillary, their office manager, never apologized to me nor did she own up to the fact that their communication skills were completely lacking. She didn't even know I was her emergency contact even though I made sure it was noted on the chart (as I do at all her doctors) that in the event they need to reach someone to call me. In fact, she basically hung up the phone on me after screaming at me for 20 mins. I DO NOT recommend this office due to their incompetent office staff and they way they handle patients and their care givers. I can't even imagine being asked to fast just ONE more day after prepping for over 24 hours the first time. read more

Ya so the place is nice. It does seem like they WANT you to wait thought. Whether I am there for consultation, or for the surgery, I had to wait, even though I'm on time or early for my appointments. The wait for surgery was the worse. I think I waited a couple of hours for that, but it was also busy. Then again, Thursdays were the only days that they would let me schedule. Anyway, I had Dr. Campbell, and he, the other doctors, and the nurses were all A+. In fact, the whole staff is friendly. I just got off of a call, however about a concern, and was told that I was supposed to follow up two weeks after the surgery. Honestly, I would have assumed the they would sat an appt for me, not the other way around. Well those were my gripes, but overall no problems here. read more

This place was awesome! Very professional. Dr Venkatesh was great during initial consult and then during the colonoscopy (I guess. I was OUT). I needed surgery (elective) that I scheduled with Dr Campbell who was also great. I can't believe a couple of these reviews. Yes, doctors may seem rude to those who think they are first in this world, but Dr Campbell not only explained everything that I thought I needed explained, he didn't waste my time, by taking his time. Imagine what goes through the head of doctors. These people are so smart that we couldn't imagine their thought process. Maybe their social skills aren't as nice as some people my want, because they are too busy saving lives each day. As long as my questions are answered and I'm back in good health, a wave from the Dr would be good enough for me. Highly recommend these Doctors to everyone I know. read more
