Been a patient of Dr. Roso for many years late last year our favorite PA left the practice. Now I am understanding why. PA that took over for her seemed to not really care about my health but more about bringing in revenue for the practice. There seems to be a great miscommunication between the PAs, doctors and staff to the point where they are almost incompetent in handling simple prescription requests. Was already searching for a new doctor when I received a letter stating that they dropped me as a patient due to unprofessional discord. Well I can't say I would recommend this practice to anyone at this point and if being upset with the level of care you are getting is being unprofessional that's on you not me. read more

As this was my first interaction with George Roso, an annual physical, I assumed he would spend some time learning about my current lifestyle and health. Instead, he only repeated (read) decades-old issues I had listed on the patient orientation form. He did not inquire about my medications nor my current health during my exam, other than to ask if, other than the annual physical, if there was anything else I wanted him to look at, which I then mentioned my thumb joint hurt. He did ask about a minor surgery I had over 42 years ago, and about when I stopped smoking, which was over 40 years ago - neither of which was relevant to my current health. George Roso did NOT ask about my current tinnitus, sleep, diet, exercise, changes in weight, appetite, energy, lifestyle, prostate health, etc. He did not offer to perform a prostate exam nor a testicular cancer screening. The only hands-on exam was to feel my neck glands, listen with a stethascope to my chest and back, and then press on my lower abdomin. That was the full extent of my 'annual physical'. At the end of the short exam, he stood up and left without asking if I had any questions nor even notifying me that the exam was complete. He had spent 50% of the exam sharing his unsolicited opinions on the Covid19 vaccine booster and countering its negative public perception by 'misinformation', as well as repeatedly pushing both the COVID booster and the shingles vaccine (without asking if I had shingles before, which I had). He also stated that recent studies demonstrate that the shingles vaccine may prevent dementia. I found no statement from the American Medical Association regarding the shingles vaccine preventing dementia. My urine was not tested. My blood was drawn and tested, after which I received a phone call from his office vaguely advising me to 'eat healthy' to address Dr.'s concern about high cholesterol. Nothing specific regarding exercise, diet or cholesterol-specific food, what to avoid or what to consume, just 'eat healthy', which I felt was vague and lazy. I had already told Dr. during my exam that I ate healthy and that my cholesterol level has been high most my entire life, but because my good cholesterol was also extremely high every previous doctor concluded the high good cholesterol offset the high bad cholesterol. In short, I did not feel an adequate amount of time nor effort was exerted to properly assess my heath. read more

I've been coming to this practice for 5 years. I've always seen the PA's here and they are all amazing. They listen and care. I've figured out a lot going on with my health due to the fact that they listen and will order test and labs to find out what's going on which can be hard to find at some offices. They get you in and out quickly and have a lab in office which saves you from having to go elsewhere for blood work. Would recommend if you are in need of a general practice. read more

Since we came down from Seattle and moved here, we have looked for a primary care provider. We were lucky enough to meet the PA Elizabeth Marino. She gives exceptional care to each of the family members that go there. My wife and I really like this clinic/office. I'm sure some folks will say they don't work with them. I'm sure others will say this is the greatest place on earth. For us it's a reliable place to go to and if you have to get in , it will find a way. The staff for the most part has always been helpful and friendly. Do not go here. Very unprofessional. Staff does not care. They do not keep their scheduled appointments and don't care that you've driven many miles, wasted gas, taken time off from work and been inconvenienced to keep your appointment. I have been a patient with doctor Roso for a 4 years now and I trust him. He spends a a sufficient time with me and would refer me out to places when needed I enjoy that his office has a senora quest lab in it which makes it very convenient to have my blood drawn after a check up. The phletomist who works at the Sonora is great! I'm a tiny person with tiny veins and she always manage to be able to get my blood on every attempt. I had a PA appointment last Friday at 9:30 AM and after the PA and I talked, she said I needed to have my blood drawn, so I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes. I had a business appointment in downtown Phoenix in 20 minutes, so I had to inform the front staff I was unable to stay any longer. They gave me a 9:30 AM appointment this morning, so I left. I was a little irritated for not being able to get my blood drawn, but I shrugged it off. I arrived this AM at about 9:10 AM, hoping they could get me in a little early. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the phlebotomist until about 9:50 AM. I hopped into the chair and started chatting with the young lady. I asked her "How many blood draws do you do per day?" She replied: "About 50" (WOW) I said: "I was here last Friday morning and I waited about 20 minutes after my PA visit, however, I had to leave for a business appointment." She said: "Oh, I am so sorry, Friday was absolutely crazy. I was swamped with blood draws, it was one of the busiest days we've had in awhile, but I am so sorry we couldn't take care of you on Friday." I now have a MUCH greater appreciation for what this young lady went through last Friday. She was probably working her bu** off, trying to ensure all of her patients were accommodated. I watched her input my data into the computer so it could produce the stickers needed for the vials as well as the myriad of paper work. Thank you, young professional phlebotomist, for all the hard work you do for Dr. Roso's office. I have been a patient of this office for over 5 years and they have been nothing but stellar in my care. All the PA's (and I've been seen by all of them!) are competent, wonderful, caring professionals. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice for anyone seeking a quality PCP. read more

5 April 2002 was my first visit with Dr. George Roso. 8 Jan 2018 was my most recent visit. During these 18 years, I always see Dr. Roso within +10 minutes of the appointed time. I had a lower intestinal tract infection & Dr. Roso worked me into his work schedule the same day I call for an Emergency Appointment. In 2017, I requested a copy of all my medical records & they were mailed to me out-of-state. From the time I submitted my written request till the time I had them in hand was a total of only 9 days. Most of that time they were in transit to me via the Post Office. I've never had any issues with Dr. Roso or any of his staff. I especially like: 1. Dr. Roso is physically fit & physically active in his personal life 2. He keeps paper records, not just digital records. 3. He has a phlebotomist in his office so all blood work is drawn in his office. 4. Dr. Roso's staff has always called to let me know the outcome of blood work or any other tests within 2 days after the test. I consider Dr. Roso a personal friend. read more

I have been going to Roso as my PCP for many years he has always been outstanding and very caring and I've seen Dr H maybe one time and he was awesome too. I definitely only gave 3 stars because of the horrible administrative staff they are rude and I will never understand why this lady told me to call the next morning at exactly 7:30 for a sick appointment to only tell me that they are fully booked. I've been dealing with an awful ear infection for almost a week and it's unfortunate that I was put on the back burner. I really don't want to look for another PCP but I hardly ever get to see Dr Roso anymore and I don't care for all the diff PAs I have to see. I would only recommend this family practice for Dr Roso/Dr H but as far as the rest of the staff it's a big NO. read more

I've gone here 3 times for regular physicals that have been covered by my insurance. Each time though, their office tried charging me for services beyond the health physical. One time, Dr. Roso randomly tried pressuring me into getting a stool sample, but I refused since I was not sick and had no condition requiring one, but he wanted to do it "just to check". What has finally led to me no longer going there is that I needed a medical history form filled out for a government certification, and Dr. Roso put on the form that I have Testicular Cancer! Shocked, since this is completely false, I went back to the office and they said they mixed me up with a different patient and corrected their mistake. The office staff here sucks if you don't want to work with a variation of patients then maybe they should find another job. MA is just as rude. Gives an attitude, she likes slamming doors, making faces. She doesn't have sympathy or empathy for that matter. PA is eh. Won't be coming back here again! We can't say enough good things about Dr. Roso and his staff. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Roso since we moved to Chandler in June of 2017. My wife has Lupus and I am a Type II Diabetic and they go over and above in providing quality healthcare for our family. I have had exceptional Physicians Assistants from Cami to Taylor and now Christine LaGrow. If you are looking for a Physician group that writes prescriptions for any ailment you have this is not the group. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Roso and his entire staff. I was referred to him by my sister after she told me how amazing he was. As a future nursing student, I am really interested in doctors that actually care for their patients and take the time to figure out what is wrong with them, rather than throwing a bunch of prescriptions at them. I was blown away when I walked in. His receptionist Jennifer is the SWEETEST lady in the world. Every time I come in I am greeted with a smile and a compliment. She asks how I am and takes genuine interest in me. His medical assistant is so sweet too. She has a really calming voice and demeanor which helps a lot when I am feeling a little more than anxious. The first time I met Dr. Roso, I knew he was the doctor for me. Rather than use hand sanitizer to "wash" his hands, he actually used soap and water!! Immediately I knew he was the right PCP for me. I shared with him how I was surprised and pleased to see he washed his hands and with a smile he replied, "well you know, hand sanitizer doesn't really do anything." FABULOUS. Dr. Roso has always been such a hard working doctor. He takes the time to listen to my concerns, and validates and comforts me when I am nervous or scared. He tells me the right information and doesn't sugar coat anything (unless I ask him to). On my most recent visit, he even pulled me into the lab room in office to show me my urinalysis (for my kidney stone), and explained the entire process and results with me. I have never had a horrible experience with his office or staff. Even his PA is amazing. I saw her when my appendix was inflamed and rather than send me home, she grabbed Dr. Roso to get his opinion because she felt strongly that it was appendicitis but wasn't completely sure. I trusted her, and trusted Dr. Roso even more because to me, that was going the extra mile. Overall, I am absolutely in love with my doctor. He is proficient, comforting, and so incredibly smart. His staff is so sweet, welcoming, and always there to listen. I love him so much that I have even referred friends and family to him. Visited Dr. George Rose as a new patient. He does prostate exam on me although i told him a had one a couple of years ago and they found nothing and said to have another one in 10 years. Got a call saying that blood was found in stool and he wanted me to have a colonoscopy. i told him i had "hem" problems and that was more than likely it. But, i had a colonoscopy done anyway. Result, bleeding from "hem". No problems, come back in 10 years. i recently tried to refill my prescriptions and was not authorized by Roso. They said i had to be seen first.I made the appointment. When the nurse came in to check my blood pressure I made the mistake of telling the Nursing Assistant that i was getting over a cold and that i went to Urgent Care. She immediately asked WHY didn't you come to us. I thought first of all none of your business and secondly i highly doubt they would schedule me within 45 minutes. Dr Roso came in and i told him about my recent illness and visit to Urgent Care. He too, asked with a bit of tone, why did't you come here. Seems like a bit of desperation from both the NA and Dr Roso. I mentioned i has been up during the night quite a bit with frequent urination. so what does he HAVE TO DO?, you got it, another needless and costly prostate exam to find out nothing was wrong. Remember, he did a prostate exam a few months earlier. do you really think i would of developed issues in a 3 month period??? Just another needless procedure to rack up the billing! He prescribed a drug for me to try. My initial thought was i hoped that he would offer a generic if the cost of the drug prescribed was too high. I guess I was spoiled because my previous doctor, Dr. Hugo Fazz, A GREAT DOCTOR, would of never let me leave his office without checking into that. To my surprise when i went to the pharmacy to pick up the script, the pharmacy tech asked me, "do you know how much this cost"? I said no, she said $275 dollars. Hmm, i don't think most of us could afford that every month. A blatant example of lack of care for patient. I asked the pharmacy to ask the doctor for a "generic" as a substitute. A couple of days later I came in and asked if he prescribed a generic. They said that he hadn't responded to 2 fax request. I came in a few days later to find out that they tried 5 times and he NEVER bothered to get back to them or me for that matter. So at this point i know that Dr. George Roso is not the doc for me. So, i ask the pharmacy to check my meds and ask for a refill if any were at 0 refills. They did just that and guess what? The request denied and he had the gull to require me to visit the office again before he would authorize any refills. What a racket!!!!! And last but not least, on that last visit from out of the blue he asks, "do i need to check you for STD's????? what a horrible display of bedside manner. If your are considering this doctor, you decide for your own and best of luck. You will need it... Sorry that Dr. Fazz was no longer in network but i will be fine paying out of pocket to have the professional care that is well worth the $$ read more

My husband and I actually like Dr Roso but not his admin staff. We received a $20 no show appointment fee. The appointment was made the same day and we came in 2 hours later. I left a message for the billing department (since they don't answer the phone) with no response. Then I get a letter saying I have to pay a $5 collection fee and my $25 is being sent to collections, wtf!? read more

I found the entire staff to be Very professional and friendly. Dr. Roso is the best family doctor I've had in a long time. His bedside manner is second to none and he always hits the nail on the head when it comes to my diagnosis. The nice lady that draws blood at his office is done before you even know she's started. I never have a problem getting an appointment and when I get to his office I never wait long and I never feel rushed . He always stays and completely answers all of my questions. Dr. Roso's care was average, but the office staff was horrible and his partner, Dr. Hajbandeh whom treated me once, had a very strange and uncomfortable way about him. Dr. Roso is adequate, but I would never see Dr. Hajbandeh again. The bulk of this poor review is a result of the office staff that was an absolute nightmare to deal with. I would definitely recommend another Primary Care Physician if at all possible. The hassle of dealing with the rude, untrained and clumsy staff is not worth the mediocre medical care this office provides. read more

After several weeks, I receive a call from his billing guys who tell me that the doctor wont change the bill, not that he cannot, but he wont because of doing so would amount to insurance fraud. When I asked her how correcting an incorrect bill amounts to fraud the lady got mad and told me not to argue with her.I told her I dont feel right about penalizing myself for no fault of mine. I am pursuing this with the benefits group at my work place and insurance. What i feel bad about it, we trust the doctors with our health and life. How can they be so unethical? I love this office! The front desk staff is super friendly and welcoming. I saw the physicians assistant (Taylor) and she was SO helpful for me. I had went to several doctors and nobody cared to help me and told me my symptoms were fake/psychological, but Taylor took me seriously and treated me like I wasn't just a warm body to give the office money. I was treated like somebody with legitimate issues and she addressed them promptly and efficiently with care. I would recommend this office to anybody! read more
