I gave one star because you have to give something. From the first phone call to make the appointment I should have known better. I didn't get a reminder call so I had to call to make sure I knew the right time to be there. I saw Dr. Leopold Yin. He was absolutely the worst doctor I have ever met. Horrible "bedside manner". Zero personality. He had never heard of my condition before but told me repeatedly that losing weight would fix my problem. He never once said it gently. Do not go to this "doctor". read more

I scheduled an appointment because I had developed ringing in my right ear. Between the time I had called and when I was able to schedule my appointment I had developed an issue with my left ear. During my appointment neither of these were looked at, but rather I was told to go elsewhere after waiting a few weeks to be seen. I have chronic issues with my ears so I can understand being referred to another higher specialist but they even cancelled the hearing test and wouldn't look at my drainage issue in my left ear. I was left dumbfounded as I was given a business card for another doctor and shown the door. Doctor Yin also talked down to me using my wording in a condescending manner. I now have to wait until next month to see the next doctor. If there is a poaching policy with the doctors why was that not explained when I made the first appointment. He was the 3rd doctor I had seen from valley ent over a 15 year period so I dont understand why he was so gun shy about just helping me. I was essentially refused service. Doc Gonzales was very nice however the administrative staff was very rude and made my visit VERY uncomfortable. I wanted to leave and the lady told me that if I did she was still going to bill me for the visit. I will never be back again it was so uncomfortable. read more

Very disappointed in my experience at the greenfield location! I'm an RN and the way the doctor spoke to me was outright rude! I've been seen twice and there will not be a third time! He was always in a hurry, upset because I asked about the fullness in my right sinus area when I was being treated for a right ear infection. I thought an ENT dealt with both??? My ear has improved thank you! But no need to talk to your patients in that tone or manner. I'm accustomed to Drs like this unfortunately, but feel sorry for the patients that have to experience this type of attitude. read more

When I went to the front desk to ask why I even had to make an appointment seeing on how they do not honor them she had nothing to say. RIDICULOUS service even for a doctors office. I went to Valley ENT on a referral because of throat problems cause by working in a call center. Dr Yen refused to speak with my employer or release medical info unless I paid extra. Two months later when Dr Yen finally spoke with my employer, he told them he cleared me to return to work without even seeing me again. Thanks to Valley ENT, I lost my job and still have a very week voice. I would not recommend Vally ENT if your career depends on it. read more

Nope, opens at 7:00 AM, I was transferred 4 times as the other offices do not schedule for them, tried to get in to ahwautukee and between rude service on the phone and unhelpful employees who make it impossible to try to get in. I came to Valley ENT about a year ago after having recurrent strep throat infections over several months. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Gavin Gonzalez, and could NOT have had a better experience. I have referred 4 people to him since then and all of them report having an amazing experience as well. Dr. Gonzalez has a very gentle manner about him, and describes procedures to his patients in a language that is non-threatning and easy to understand. My experience with Valley ENT and Dr. Gonzalez has been a great one, and i will continue to refer him for years to come! read more

I love Dr. McKenna, he's fantastic with my boys. However, the reception staff at this office are horrid. Rude, refuse to listen, condescending and overall unpleasant. I will never come to this office again. The ahwatukee office is where you should go if you want to be treated like a human being, and not a number. read more

Refuse service to cash paying customers. My wife called to schedule an appointment and was told if you do not have insurance we can not provide you service. I told her it must be a misunderstanding and to call back and tell them we would pay for the procedure before we stepped foot in the building. I truly would give De Redfeldt and Kai "5" stars because they're very competent and professional. I'm not impressed with the office manager - I had a bill question - spoke to her on Monday and as of Friday she has hasn't "gotten back to me" as stated. My billing problem is the enormous cost of a scheduled ear debridement - not only are you charged for an "office call" at $149.00, you're also charged $308.00 for the procedure - I wasn't there for any of other office call reason and think it should be one inclusive cost. The extreme offense was also being charged $65.00 for the little cone the doc places in the ear canal to clean out the wax. Isn't that part of the procedure?? I don't get charged for a speculum when I have a pap done or for the tourniquet when I have blood drawn or the equipment needed for a teeth cleaning. I'm a nurse - I have insurance but I find this ridiculous and as a result will not have any additional maintenance "procedures" done - I had this twice a year for several years and have not ever seen this before! read more

I would give this 0 stars if it would let me. Office staff is terrible, nasty attitude and a general don't give a crap. Arrived at 1pm with forms already completed, 50 minutes later i find out he is running an hour behind, and I can choose to wait or leave. If this doctor didn't come highly recommended and I hadn't already waited a month for an appointment I would have left. Hopefully the other offices aren't this bad. read more

Took the day off and took my son out of school for this apt and get to the office only to be told they take my insurance but are contracted through Banner and my insurance is a contract of Dignity Health. I was pleasantly surprised with Valley ENT. Typically I hate going to the dr because they don't listen, you wait forever, and the staff is usually detached. Not here. They got me in same week I called, I only waited 15 minutes. Dr Gonzales came in, listened to my concerns, did his thing then sent me in my way with my rx. Apparently a 9 am appointment with an 8:30 check in time (new patient form needed to be filled out) actually means 9:45 and with a toddler it felt like much longer. The doctor was nice, helpful and I believe will be able to help my sons ear infections howeverI am so annoyed by the wait I'm un able to give any more stars. I have been in misery for 2 years plus. Allergist have tried to solve my problem. Dr. Redtfelt went beyond conventional care. A CT scan and report were incorrect and she saw the error and promptly went to work ASAP. She even went out of her way voluntarily after hours to speak with me and move forward a remedy. Still, all in all I was reluctant to great results after having been unable to breath through my nose for 2 years, plus the pain was so severe I had to rely on high strength pain killers. I am 2 months after the surgery and life just keeps getting better. I can breath like never before. Dr. Redtfelt and Khai are very thorough professionals that care and are competent. Not Sure why the reviews are bad on yelp but they Valley Ent (Baseline location) has 4.4* on google. I scheduled an appointment with them after calling the phoenix childrens ENT. Phoenix Childrens ENT wanted over $500 for a new patient cash pay and their earliest appointment was 2 weeks out. My 3yo put a piece of foam from a toy in his ear. He pushed it all the way against his eardrum and it could not be seen without a flashlight. He showed no signs of pain. However, Valley ENT with Dr Redtfelt got us a same day appointment at an amazing cash pay. We went back today for our follow up appoint after oiling his ear up for a week and the toy came out easy. Dr. Redtfelt listen to my concerns and was very reasonable. She interacted with my son very well and would recommend her office to anyone else. My only complaint was our first office visit we waited almost a hour to be seen. The front desk did not tell me to show up 30 mins early to fill out paperwork or notify me they were behind schedule. Todays appointment we waited maybe 10mins. Over I am very pleased with their office and treating my toddler. read more

I have been reading all this negative information on Dr Yin......I DID NOT HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE. I called this office after not having to use them for 9 years. They GOT me in the same day I called. NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS TO SAY. I felt welcomed when I checked in and I was anxious. The staff was GREAT! IMMEDIATE RELIEF of my problem once I entered the exam room. Everyone was courteous and everyone was professional. As well as very very attentive. Thank you for helping me! Dr Yin saw my baby but refused to take a look at him. We were sent to an ENT by another specialist to have the doctor check a few things before starting other treatment to help them provide the correct treatment for my son. When Dr Yin arrived, he questioned why we were there and we explained. He then went on to say that he couldn't do anything and that my son was gaining weight fine so there would definitely not be any problems. I persisted and mentioned that we still needed him to check him out but he wouldn't. He then escorted us out of the room. It turns out that our son did have a few issues, and had Dr Yin checked, I would have hoped he would have caught it. It would have saved us months of treatment and issues for my son. read more

I had a small miscommunication with my doctor, but my concerns were promptly addressed, and remedied! I would highly recommend this group and Dr. Yin. Dr. Redtfeldt is amazing and I appreciated the time and patience she had with my kids. She addressed my questions and insured everything was handled. Her MA is phenomenal and even went out of her way to garuntee us a surgery date that worked with our chaotic life. The largest opportunity is with the front desk staff / phone staff. I called and was immediately put on hold with no answer. I get the impression that these people don't enjoy interacting with patients/customers. Don't appear warm or friendly. I am very disappointed with my experience at Valley ENT. The doctor had already diagnosed me before he came in the room. He is doing what I refer to as "farming me out" to another doctor/clinic. He was rude, arrogant and has given me a wrong diagnosis. He didn't seem interested in talking with me about what I am experiencing with my ear. He was online and pulled up WebMD to "show" me what my diagnosis is. I can go on WebMD and get my own diagnosis and it wouldn't have cost me gas money, time and the Dr. bill I haven't received yet. Only problem is the symptoms don't fit the diagnosis. As a patient, we deserve better treatment and care than this Dr. gives. I do not recommend going to this clinic. read more

Dr Yin was very rude and negative. The whole appointment was a waste of time which is irritating because I had to miss school for it. He offered no solutions to my situation and was rude and condescending to my mother as well. He talked to us like we were stupid when he had to use Google to look up symptoms of mono. He did not care at all and was only there to scare me out of getting a tonsillectomy. He pretty much told me there's nothing I can do to get better, I just have to "wait it out". Absolutely horrible experience. I had horrible sinus pressure and came here in hopes of answers. I spent literally 5 minutes with the Doctor, he told me I didn't have sinus problems, but maybe mono or some other autoimmune disorder. He looked on WebMD for the symptoms I had and showed my wife. I'm not making this up. He said he could take a CT scan if we wanted but we were cash paying customers and didn't have the money for that. He gave us no new information and after 5 minutes we left. He gladly took our money for doing nothing. After going to other doctors come to find out I have severe sinus issues and problems with my ears equalizing. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a doctor. Avoid at all costs. Very arrogant, not helpful, and unprofessional. read more

Dr Raquel A. Redtfeldt is the best ENT doctor ever. She resolved my wife's asthma/allergy issue in 2 visits. She resolved that my aid reflex is the problem for my throat infections. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Had to wait a month to be seen both times. The day of my second appointment I got a call letting me know that my appointment was cancelled due to an emergency surgery. I was told I couldn't be seen for ANOTHER MONTH!! When I expressed my frustration, there were no apologies nor did the receptionist try and see if she could fit me in earlier. Absolutly horrible front staff service and office policies. This place is a prime example of how the medical industry is less about making a living through healing and now all about dollars. We saw one of the physcians at their office several years ago for my daughter. He was extremely rude, abrupt and told her she was faking her symptoms. We had another appointment set with another ENT 2 days later who examined her and found she needed tubes to relieve the pressure in her ears to keep them from constantly bursting. This ENT, sadly , has moved their practice and the doctor at Valley ENT has moved offices. We had heard good things about the other physicians at the practice and tried to make an appointment for our daughter with one of them. Because she had been seen once, 4 years ago, by the other physician, they would not let us schedule an appointment with any other doctor. We would have to go all the way across the valley to see the same rude physician who misdiagnosed her years ago. Took my 4 yr old to see Dr. Hobgood at the Scottsdale location. Night and day difference compared to another ENT dr. we had seen before. The visit was clear and informative. I left with the answers I needed. Much better than being confused and wondering what we were going to do about our toddler's issues. Went to Dr. Yin for issues with my son's hearing. The doctor spent 5 seconds looking at my three year old son's ears and was rude, dismissing, and condescending regarding our concerns. When I asked what surgery for tubes would entail, he told me "I'll tell you about that when you need to know about that." My son was complaining about his ears hurting and failed the audiologist tests for both ears. The doc declared he didn't have an ear infection and left. My son was up all night crying, brought him to the pediatrician this morning who immediately diagnosed my son with an ear infection. She referred me to a different ENT. My experience with Dr. Yin had to be my worst experience with a physician to date. read more

Stay away! They butchered me with nasal surgery while I had medical coverage. Shortly afterwards I lost my medical and have been suffering ever since. The surgery has not solved my problems, I cannot sleep anymore at night and my problems have gotten worse. They want $250 for an office visit to be seen. Ripoff scam artists and butchers. This Dr. was directly responsible for the death of my 3 year old son. He recommended having his tonsils and adenoids removed and after my son died we had a 2 other Dr's review the notes. Turns out my son didnt need the surgery. When I called the office 5 times after the surgery they told me his symptoms were "normal". When I spoke with an angry Dr. Gonzalez at 11pm that night because I wanted to go to the ER he told me that I was exposing my son to un-necessary risks and germs and other problems and to stay home. At 3am my son was fine and talking. At 7am I awoke to him being blue and I had to perform CPR. He died 3 days later. Dr. Gonzalez begged for forgiveness on his knees but I didnt want to see him. I havent heard from him since. Not so much as a sympanthy card! We decided not to pursue the malpractice lawsuit because it was too emotional. But I had several Dr's say that Dr. Gonzalez definately made bad decisions in his care. read more
