Valley Laundry is my go to spot for doing laundry when I'm in El Cajon and my laundry bag is full. I almost always use the triple load machine for $3.50. Then throw $1.25 in the dryer which buys me 35 min which on high heat works well for me. The one and only time I had a problem here was my fault. After waiting my normal 30 min on my laundry I was ready to dry my clothes only to find out the smelled like dirty laundry. On furtherinspection they looked like dirty laundry. Evidently I failed to hit start button. I reloaded machine and hit start. No need for additional coins since none were used 30 min later they were ready for the dryer. Then 35 min later they were ready to be folded or hung. They came out fine as always. The owner isn't particularly friendly. He's not rude mean or unfriendly, He's just not friendly. Perhaps because he's there to clean up the place, cash out machines, and preping the place to close. He did allow me to park over night once when my car failed to start. So with all the positive I've said why 4 stars instead of 5? It's a cultural thing. Just as his all business deal with me is cultural. I expect to be treated as a friend or family when I'm a regular somewhere. This hasn't happened and I've been coming here for years. Not once has he ever spoken to me first. Never asks how I'm doing. I started coming here each week for my laundry services. The owners are wonderful and they work hard to keep the place clean. As well, they also help if a machine doesn't work properly. They take care of their customers, and I always feel welcome when I come to visit. The machines come in a few different sizes and are fairly priced. The machines also work quickly, so I can get all of my laundry done in under two hours. Definitely come to visit if you're in need of a good laundromat! Unlike a couple other places in El Cajon that I've been to, the owners actually clean, care for, and maintain their equipment, so I never have any problems getting my clothes cleaned up nicely! read more

Aweful customer service, and being the owner made this decision is unbelievable it's been open this long. I walked to this establishment w about 6 loads in a stroller. I got there at 6:45p, as soon as I enter, the Asian man stops me and says there closed. I looked on Google maps before I came and it's open till 8p. They have 6 load washers and know that I can get this done within an hour and 15 mins...I've done it before, just not at this place. So he proceeds to put his hands up to tell me that his sign on the door says last wash is at 6:45p by this time , bc were arguing back n fourth ad to who's right, the sign on the front door, or the advertising he has on the internet. I told him I wouldn't even do all of my clothes. He proceeds to tell me I can't do my laundry, that I have to come back tmrw. I told him I can't, I have to have this done today, and there is plenty enough time for me to get this done. He then threatens to call the police on me, if I didn't leave. Mind you, there were 4 different people there min, doing there wash, none of which were drying yet. I feel this is discrimination, bc I had my clothes in a stroller. Where is the compassion? I walked there needing to do my clothes, well within the time of closing. I left, bc I didn't want this to become a bigger issue than it was...but told him I would be writing a review about the situation. All he had to do is let me wash my clothes like everyone else. I would have been done by closing, 8p...he would have had his 8.00$ from me, and I would have been a happy customer. Well thank goodness for the super wash on main and first, their open 24 hours a day, abd the lady working there is very gracious, last time I was there, she gave me a few dryer sheets when I told get I wanted to buy some. So caution, if your headed to Valley Coin Laundry At 6:30p don't go!!! You'll get thrown out. I told him he needs to change his hours on the internet, bc it's false advertising. If he doesn't want people to come after a certain times that's what time he needs to say it's open till. Not pick abd choose who he wants to let in past that time or not. On top of it all, I was walking, by myself, it was getting dark, abd had a stroller full of clothes, (they were all property bagged in laundry bags, and maintained- not just thrown in a stroller by themselves....like where is the compassion these days? Let me just say I was just walking in to my neighborhood laundry mat that I've been coming to for about 10 years now never have had complaints before understanding that quarters are for customers which I am a customer! I not yet grabbed my clothes I understand others people come in to this laundry mat just getting quarters and that's it it's not making your business by that not happening! But in this situation that was not it there are ways to approach people/ customers about your policy on quarters I had the owner screaming from across The laundry mat saying no no these are for customers only which I understand that but your tone in the way you came out yelling at a customer was not OK I work in customer service myself and that's a good that's not a good way to approach people especially if you're trying to get a point across so then when I did come back with showing my laundry I ask this owner if I can get quarters and and with a very nasty answer back and attitude he said as long as you have your laundry! Which I understood which is why I had my laundry there but the tone was very rude so I said sir you're very rude and I was it my opinion you know I can voice my opinion is fine but I'm still gonna be a customer obviously just doing my laundry and getting out but then he flips out on me saying you don't have to be here I don't care if you're here I don't care if you wash your clothes here sir business you should definitely have more care for your business and you should care if your customers are happy or not but you know again that's my opinion you know I do also work in customer service so I do know how to approach people and talk to customers especially other business people but I was very upset this time I'm going to wash my clothes and probably never come back here because if this is going to be the owner is very very not OK ! And while this situation is happening while we are kind of going back-and-forth I'm not trying to I'm at a very calm voice I had multiple customers I was easy me and having a conversation with him but he kept getting very defensive and very upset and telling me how he doesn't care about what we do or if we come back here and I'm just like that's not OK but while that was happening one of the other people that were parked in the parking lot hit my car! Which another customer saw but then the second I turn around the owner is disappears all I have to say is for this company is to please just work on your guises customer service I am a manager at another business so definitely if you guys improve on that this place will be a lot better and please notify your owner to make sure that he knows how to talk to people because that is not OK read more

I am a seventy-two year old lady whose washing machine is awaiting repair. I have quite a large family and a huge load of dirty laundry accumulated quickly, forcing me to go to the laundromat. Having very little knowledge of such an establishment left me in a quandary as to what to do. The other customers were very kind when it came to my various queries, but were there, of course, to do laundry of their own. Then came along Jim, the owner of the place. He was like the proverbial knight in shining armor, patiently explaining how to do everything and actually measuring out and pouring in the laundry detergent for me. He was wonderfully kind and did I mention patient? Patience goes a long way with us old folks. As I sat and read my book while waiting for my clothes to finish washing, I observed Jim. I am so pleased to state that he treated everyone the same, regardless of race, ethnicity, age or gender. The machines work great and it is a good, clean establishment. I Went to this place twice so far and was very impressed at how spotless clean it is. I mean just looking at how well kept and clean and very well run the place is I will use this laundry place for a long time to clean my clothes. The women who works there is very nice,classy lady and has vending machines there selling from juice,soda, snacks and of course cleaning stuff to do your laundry. All laundry and snack/soda machines are fair priced and not and overcharge like most places. The place even has a nice big television to watch while you do your laundry. Highly reccommend this laundry mat to all and it is not a hang out for the homeless. Thanks for providing us folks with such an immuculate place to clean our clothes. Will you get your clothes washed and dried? Yes, but be aware that the owner is very rude and disrespectful. I came in ready to wash my clothes money , laundry bag, detergent in tow and when I handed the owner my $10 bill for quarters he yelled at me rudely to put my clothes in the washer first before he would even assist me. I understand he wants to make sure people aren't taking advantage of him by just getting change and leaving but I've never and I mean NEVER been treated with such disrespect at a business in my life. I decided that I would take my business else where because I refuse to be treated with such disdain and prejudice because of the wrong doing of others. Mostly top-loading single washers ($1.75), but also a few front loading double load (also $1.75), triple load ($3.25), and 6-load ($6.25) washers. Dryers only give 7 minutes for $0.25. Restroom requires a quarter (or a token from an attendant). Fairly clean and not as crowded as many other places nearby (priced a little lower and providing free WiFi and other "extras" making them more appealing and popular) but unless you live very close, there seems little reason to come here rather than one of the others in the area. read more

Been here a few times now. Clean place. No hobos hanging around it. The largest capacity washer is $3.25 a load. (At the time of this writing) They are open 7am to 10 pm with last wash by 9pm. It's nice to have a 7/11 and Starbucks close by. There is a change machine for 1,5,10,20 dollar bills. Overall not bad. read more

For a laundry mat this place is pretty good. Super clean, the owner spends much of the day here keeping it safe and clean. Security cameras make you feel safe. Yea yea we hate these places but until the machines at my complex get fixed... might as well come to a clean one. He keeps the dryers clear of lint so they dry fast. read more

I don't regularly do this, but I had to because everyone needs to know about the best laundromat in all San Diego! I made an account just to write this review. My wife has been coming to this laundromat for quite a while. What I noticed after months of her coming is she never complained about the laundromat being dirty! It is very clean! The owner Jim is always cleaning and making sure you are ok and even ask if you need anything. Every time my wife comes he makes sure that she is ok because she is pregnant. He even brought her a water once because he noticed that she was really hot inside the laundromat. You never get this kind of service at a laundromat! Thank you Jim for always keeping the laundromat clean and making sure all your customers are happy! I highly recommend this laundromat to anyone!! Did I mention that his prices here are unbeatable!!
