Even the ladies running this place are very polite....Over the past year this Laundromat has been catering more and more and more to outside clients who ship their laundry in from large facilities. Which means ALOT of the machines are reserved and not available for outside customers. Why not do the outside clients laundry after hours when nobody is trying to use the machines? Then instead of taping off TEN machines- you'd have every machine avail. Wouldn't that mean faster turnover at night? We've already found another Laundromat down the road. We alway use this place. Today I learned that I will never go back. We dropped up our stuff on wed to be pressed. Told on our receipt it will be ready on Friday. Husband even confirmed it was ok if it was Monday. But we just needed confirmation. Was told we would get a text. I called 3 times, and texted no answer. Ok they are busy I'll go in. A lady literally wearing a sign on her waist that says " don't ask me I just work here" Ok funny. But like I need help. Explain the situation tell her that it's fine if it's not ready I just need to know so I can go somewhere else. . She said she has no idea. Ok do you think you can check? She said well they look done but I can't tell. Ok well let me look at them. Half were done half were not. I said ok I'll take a refund just let me have them. I don't know how to do a refund she says. Alright, can you ask someone else? I work by myself. There was a death in the family. Ok i understand. Well can you call someone else in charge? The owner will be here Tuesday. Well I'll be out of town Tuesday. So I need an answer soon. I said ok maybe just try to ask the owner? I don't know his number. What do you want me to do call my coworker who's on a plane to see her dead family member? I was in total shock I am a very empathetic person and I said nothing of the sort. I don't appreciate being treated that way. I accepted their fault obviously things happen but I did not deserve any of that. If you hate your job so much that you have to wear a sign that says so. Worst laundry matt ever. Many machines are broken and will eat your money. Most of the time there are no workers there to request a refund or help. If there is staff there they use all of the machines and block off any empty ones so they can use them for their laundry service. Close your store if you don't allow people to wash their clothes there because you are a laundry matt. When I have been able to wash clothes there, alot of items come up missing. If you do find an employee there, they are rude and will completely ignore you. read more

I've been coming here for years and the price has been a great value but recently the price went up by a quarter and the time on the dryers has gotten shorter per cycle but today the price for the was increased again by fifty cents. I chose this place because of the great rating but I see that rating comes mostly from people using the Fluff 'n Fold service. The employees were very nice but they were not wearing masks or adhering to any COVID guidelines. I've visited 5 times in the past 6 weeks, each time the machines and floors were dirty. My biggest issue was that they mainly cater to the fluff 'n fold service. Whenever I go, 70% of the washers, dryers and folding tables are being utilized for that service leaving the walk in patrons with little to work with. The last time I went I had to ask an employee to remove clothes from 6 washers that were marked for fluff n fold but the clothes hadn't been removed from the washers after 25 minutes of waiting. I don't think that the business is big enough to adequately accommodate both the fluff business and walk in service. read more

I've been coming here for a while because it's right down the street from me. I loved that the machines take card that's super convenient but they started cutting back the hours of operation to the point they firmly will not let you wash a minute after 7. The last time I was here almost all of the machines were not functioning for one reason or another. Today I said to myself if I have a bad experience it will be my last time. Sure enough I'm greeted by a rude man talking me the machines will not operate after 7 (1. This is a lie lol and 2 the time was 6:58) I drove 10 minutes away to Super Laundry and I'm very impressed. Even though it's strictly coin op it's very clean and spacious with plenty of seating. All of these things are opposite of Laundry Depot. There's a lot more machines and all are functional. Also they open earlier and close later at Super Laundry. I will drive the extra couple miles to do my laundry in a more comfortable welcoming place with maintained machines. read more

Should be called the Covid Depot since masks are not enforced here. I've already made a complaint to the San Diego Covid Complience team, I urge everyone to do the same. This is getting out of hand. The area is sketchy yes, but when employees start to behave sketchy too thats where I draw the line. I'll give you a hint.. bloodshot red eyes, strange behavior, becoming friends with the homeless. I went to wash last Monday the 8th just after 9am. I went to this place because it was convenient for me because I work just 2 blocks away and live in National City. I asked the worker why it was so dirty and she said they had issues with the cleaning person the night before but obviously this was more then a few days of not cleaning or wiping anything down. I asked for the manager or owner and never was given a number or name. So later on I saw a man in the office and I asked him why the place was so dirty and he didn't seem to see anything wrong with the place and was telling me it looked fine to him. I LOVE having my laundry taken care of at The Laundry Depot! Each of the staff are personable each time. They make a point to try and remember my name. My clothes are always in great order when I return to pick up. They automatically hang anything they think would need to be hung. Recently, my daughter left a bracelet in her pocket. She didn't realize it was in the laundry but it was neatly tucked in an envelope with our laundry when I picked it up. I am a "regular" now as I am convinced of the level of care by each and every employee of The Laundry Depot. I love this place. They open till 9:00pm. They have laundry and dryer machines. But they also provide the service to do your laundry, fluff and fold and dry cleaning, which is what I always utilize their service for. They charge $1 a pound for laundry. I always drop off my laundry and they have it finished, folded and ready for you later that day. They understand to never wash and shrink any shirts and always accomodate any requests you may have for different articles of clothing you may have. We went to this place because of the ratings were so good...NOT.. The dryers are unexceptable. There were 8 dryers out of service. We had to wait until some dryers where freed up. The cost is 25 cents, the dryers were not hot, our clothes were lightly damp after spending $1.50 per load x 4 =$6.00. We are going to seek another Laundry facility. read more

Our washing machine broke right before we went on a week's vacation, and the part won't fly in from China (or wherever the hell it comes from) until this next week. We have had 4 different opportunities to use this business' services to launder our bed comforter because of accidents (generally throwing up) by our dog, who sleeps in our bed. I just tried the Fluff and Fold service for the first time and it was wonderful. They took extra care with the lacy dresses I owned and even were extra careful with a couple items I didn't know needed more care. Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the early evening.
