This is by far the worst for service ever! Serviced my car and lost my M valve stems, oil handprints left in my car and the 1 out of 3 service agents are actually nice. They replace my valve stems with gray ones and dont even say anything. When needing a car my last 3 services because I need a car for work it seems like a huge obstacle. I reached out to Valley BMW in which I was connected with Thomas Westfall. I was interested in selling my vehicle without purchasing another one from the dealership. I have a 2020 X3 with 12k miles and several upgraded packages. My car is in excellent condition. Kelley Blue Book values my vehicle between $41-44k. When I called to ask the process for selling the car, Thomas immediately requested the VIN and milage and told me he'd call me back. Instead, he texted me an offer range below significantly below the trade in value and said they use fair condition always in determining the value of the car. He's never seen my car, done an inspection, nothing. Not to mention he was overall rude and condescending via text. Went for an oil change and a replacement of a headlight. The price of the oil change has gone up to $160 now, but the headlight cost $110 to diagnose. I already had my eye on one particular car they had in my color, so just talking to the salesperson, I asked about the car and the details of the Certified Pre-owned warranty on the car, and then asked if they could meet me in Roseville and bring the car. Of course I didn't want to meet at the Roseville BMW dealer! So, we met at an easy to find big hotel. I drove the car and tried out everything, including some fast freeway curved on ramps. The sales guy kept his cool and didn't get too scared with a female driver at the wheel. We agreed on a price and that was it! He even threw in some BMW apparel that was mailed to me later. I haven't brought my car in for service to Modesto Valley BMW, since it's out of my way, but the local dealer handles it fine with no probs with me not buying the car there. Disgusted and repulsed aren't even the words that I can describe with the service I received from Valley BMW. I had a check engine light come on and had a certified BMW repair shop in Turlock diagnose it with their scanner to be a NVLD pressure switch sensor error. The technician had advised me that for my specific year and model that this is a common issue and pulled up forums and BMW dealer service center articles online that this specific code is covered under a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty (I have a 2019 BMW 330i with 56,000 miles). I called Modesto Valley BMW and spoke with Rich Deeds (service manager) and informed him of the error code and provided additional information along with my VIN number. He scheduled an appointment for me to come in and assured that this error code and issue is covered under an extended warranty since it is a common issue. I called to confirm my appointment the morning of my scheduled appointment (11AM) and the receptionist advised me that there is no appointment in their system, which she then scheduled an appointment for the same day at 1PM. I took my vehicle in at 12:45PM and spoke with a service advisor by the name of Kam Bains. Kam was somewhat pleasant, even though he continued to tell me I was late for my 11AM appointment even though the receptionist said it wasn't in the system and after receiving a confirmation appointment text that said 1PM. Before checking it in I went over the exact same information that I did with Rich Deeds but with Kam, he said if it was the same error code and it was the issue that it will be covered, but ultimately he would not lnow until it is checked in for a $225 diagnostic fee to confirm the error and to check for other issues. Once the car was diagnosed with what was already provided, they quoted me for a $2,800 repair of the sensor replacement and a "leaking" coolant pipe. I had mentioned that I purchased a GWC extended warranty, which ended up not covering any emissions issues which I could understand. The way I was spoken to and lied to made me just pick up my vehicle as I had called my mechanic and he advised me that it was total BS. I took the car to a certified BMW dealership in the Bay Area and they diagnosed it with the same exact issue (minus the coolant tube)... the service there was beyond impeccable and a complete 180 from what I experienced at Valley BMW. Not to my surprise... but surprised after a list of issues I was given by Valley BMW, the Bay Area BMW not only covered the repair under the warranty with no charge, they also advised me that there was no coolant tube leak at all... AND all it needed was a new gas cap to fix the issue, not an entire module replacement. I am not sure what quota Valley BMW is trying to meet, but swindling customers is definitely not the way to do it. Not shocked that I am now reading these types of reviews regarding Rich Deeds. I'm surprised Ryan is allowing this type of operation to be ran with his staff, corporate BMW has been notified and currently in contact with the BAR. read more

Said "no more emails, calls, cards...". I got another card today asking me to drive 2 hours to get a $99 oil change. This time I spoke to Ken directly. His story was that he was only asked to stop emails, which he claims he did, and not the post cards that come from a 3rd party vendor. So now Katy the receptionist is to blame for poor response. Also nowI learned that they gave my contact information to a 3rd party after I specific told them not to during my service visit. To his credit he agreed when I said "Why would I drive nearly 2 hours to get an oil change?" But would not say that they did anything wrong or owed me even a written apology when I asked. If you must go there don't give them your email, phone, or address or they will stalk you for the rest of your life. If you have to, have them sign a "do not contact" agreement with a penalty. I had the worse experience at Valley BMW. First they gave me a quote to update my maps that was roughly $400. The service desk didnt sound like they were very knowledgeable. They tell me in addition to the $400 I would need to purchase a navigation DVD because that is how its updated on my specific car. This turned out to be false. I went to another BMW and the maps were updated via USB and they only charged me $67 for 30 minutes of labor, not $400 that Modesto Valley BMW quoted me. On another occasion they had my car in for an airbag light that was a result of an accident. I got a call from my service advisor that my car was ready for pickup. I live an hour away, I drive in pickup my car and pull out of the driveway. The airbag light was still on. I turn around, go back to BMW and the service advisor checked in my car again and said it would be a few days. I never get a call back. I then call and check the status and the service advisor "advises" me that the technician inadvertently left a wire disconnected which caused the airbag light to illuminate. So now I'm driving another hour to pickup my car. Hopefully its right this time. One thing I do know is I will avoid this service center at all costs! I'd rather drive 2 hours and know that my car is in good hands and is being taken care of by competent people. My advice would be to stay far away from this place. read more

My daughter was looking at a "certified" used 430i and it had a cracked windshield, passenger side wheels had curb damage (not just scuffs, actual metal damage) the front facia was all tore up with damage (not something you can buff out) and a dent in the rear quarter panel. We questioned how this would be certified as certified is something that the dealer has gone through completely and it's in like-new condition. Very shocking that a dealer would try to pass something like this on to a consumer calling it certified just to charge more money. As a previous dealer, I would steer very clear from this dealership as they do not appear to be honest or trustworthy. I spoke to Dean the salesperson whom my daughter dealt with and he was rude and arrogant saying "how dare" I post such a bad reveiw for them. Put that energy into actually making sure your Used Certified Vehicles meet the BMW standard vs. trying to shame me about my post! Stay Away! I would not trust the team here. One of the managers (John) and salesperson (Monique) proved to be untrustworthy throughout the sales process. If you're considering working with this dealership -- it'll be worth it to take the 3 minutes to read this. Through several calls and text communication...we agreed on a new vehicle, the price, delivery time, etc and was told "we've got a SOLD sign on it for YOU". I emailed over my drivers license, insurance information, etc as well per their request to get the process going. As I went to begin filling out the credit app and asked to schedule delivery time.....they said they actually decided to sell the car to someone else who was onsite that day. They never reached out, never called me....they just sold it because they had an eager buyer on site and (as evident) they really don't care about keeping their word to their customers (or potential customers). Because we had decided on this car, I had actually passed on 3 other similar vehicles over the past few days (at dealerships more close to home) that have now sold, because this was the one I wanted and they confirmed we had a deal and they'd marked it as "Sold". Then when I called the manager (John) asking why they did not keep their word here, he became incredibly confrontational, rude and disrespectful to the point I would never imagine someone would treat a loyal BMW customer of 10 years. This is just 1 example here, but when choosing to work with a dealership...I'd highly recommend working with one that values trust and keeping their word to their customers. If a manager is acting this way, you can ensure this is accepted behavior across the team there at Valley BMW. Stay away! Go work with a team you can trust! I decided to come back and give them a try and to be honest not happy with their costumer service. They try every time to up sale me. They aren't very friendly and it took two hours while I waited for an oil change. The only reason I came back it's close to home and my awesome service guy in Elk Grove left the dealership. Case in point: Sent my wife for service on 335i, 35 miles away instead of East Bay BMW, our regular spot. On the way back after oil change, car says "Oil level below minimum" Call the service agent and he cannot assure her that enough oil was put in, or service was done right but wants her to drive back after she has waited for half the day already. I placed a deposit for a pre-order of a vehicle mid August. A week after I placed the deposit for the pre-order I decided to cancel and obtain a full refund of my deposit. I contacted the sales manager John Phillips via email (September 7, 2021) and requested the deposit, that email was not acknowledged. A few days later (September 10, 2021) I sent a follow-up email which he replied and stated the refund was submitted. On September 16, 2021 I still have no signs of my deposit. At this point it was time to contact BMW HQ regarding the shameful level of customer service by Valley BMW. September 17, 2021 John Phillips replied stating that the check was being mailed to my home address. It is now September 30, 2021 and I still have not received my deposit. I again contacted BMW HQ, which they advised Valley BMW has been contacted regarding this issue again. I have purchased two 2021 BMWs (FRESNO BMW!!!) this year and have been acquainted to receiving top quality service. The service I have received for Valley BMW is shameful to the name BMW. They have lost a potential customer for life and I would never recommend them to anyone. Fresno BMW is a way to go. (Sidenote, when I ordered my BMW it automatically went to Valley BMW.
