Asada nachos. Only a few bites taken out. My wife didn't care for the meat.

We out in a big order cause we had a hankering for some asada nachos. It was easy to place and pick up the order. They made sure it was all there. They still are charging people to use credit cards which isnt legal in CA as of June. The pic shows the chips were kind of burnt the meat tasted chewy as if reheated too much. I thought it might have been just the nachos but my taco salad meat was kind of overcooked as well.

I can't wait to go back! I felt transported to Puerto Vallarta with each sip and bite. Our server was a sweetheart. She greeted us, let us pick our own table and took special care of our party of three. The food was delicious! Absolutely scrumptious down to the last bite. The passion fruit margarita was terrific. I am already excited to come back. I had a fish taco and cheese enchilada. My mom had a shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada and my aunt had a cheese enchilada and rice. Everyone was happy with their lunch. I was so full, I didn't need dinner. It was $80 for three of us and we each got what we wanted and had an adult beverage to boot. Great service!!!! Plus complimentary chips and salsa and amazing bean dip. Have I mentioned, I will be back!?!!? I'm hungry typing about it.

We heard that this restaurant got new owners and that it was very good so my husband and I decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The complimentary chips were fresh and warm, the best kind of chips! They brought salsa and beans with the chips, which we found out later, the beans were not complimentary and were added to the bill. Haha. I ordered the mixed fajitas and my husband ordered the beef enchilada and the tortilla soup. The quality of all the food was good, it was fresh, moist, cooked perfectly but it was lacking some flavor, we added salt to them to help the flavor. A little bit more flavor would make the plates excellent.

Both came with salad to start with plus chips that were efficiently refilled by our server. I'm on the keto diet, so I was looking for something that would work with that and the fajitas works great especially if you avoid the sides. It was plenty with the salad, though it also comes with a plate full of rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream. The space was quiet for the most part- no TVs, or loud music. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn't too crowded. You walk in and whenever the server sees you, she'll instruct you to pick a table. The food comes fast- drinks followed by chips/salsa, followed closely by salad, and then main course. I was impressed at the steady stream of courses. They do seem to favor black pepper for their seasoning, but not to the point of it being obnoxious. I like perhaps a bit more "pop" to the flavor of the food if I'm being honest, but I generally like my food to be loud. The salsa is onion heavy (onions being the main flavor of the salsa), which would be a problem for some of my family members who are allergic. Payments are made at the table, though there is a register located at the front for takeout patrons. I was pleasantly impressed with this little restaurant and we will be coming back.

We were a group of six diners. Service was attentive and accommodating. My husband had the #25 Shredded beef burrito and chili verde pork burrito. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Toatada Grande and asked for an extra portion of chicken to be added to it. I also swapped out the refried beans for black beans. It was good and I got all my protein and veggies. I asked for a side of salsa as dressing for the salad. It also came with rice but I didn't taste it. I would eat there again. Prices were reasonable. I'm surprised by their overall low rating on Yelp. I think it deserves more.

The staff are in the mindset that they are one of the best Mexican restaurants in Sutter Creek for food and service; however, this I can NEVER agree with. I would rate them at the bottom of any Mexican food I have ever tried in my lifetime. My food was super late getting to us and was only lukewarm. The guacamole had to be requested twice, but by then we had eaten all our flour chips, so had to cancel. Ambiance was non-existent. Only positive was the spacious booth seating.

I got smashed red potatoes as my side, also delicious. I opted for water, it's "strawberry" water so has the essence of strawberries. The large pitcher which they serve from has big ripe strawberries. What a refreshing treat instead of plain or lemon water. My mom and I had a very nice breakfast, again the customer service was excellent and the woman owner chatted with us, was quite friendly and personable. Again she was just a delight.
