Chicken beef and shrimp fajitas The best

We were camping at Lake Amador and wanted Mexican food, found Los Hermanos and both my husband and I got fajitas. They were super good and lots of food Good friendly service also Unfortunately we couldn't stay to eat there, we had our dog with us but next time we plan to eat inside, it was very clean and nice Can't wait to visit again

Hubby had the burrito and it was massively full. Was the best steak taco I ever had!! Highly recommend!!!

Omg! Good was great! Large portions and came out quick! Highly recommend this place!!! Staff is pleasant and has great customer service!! Restaurant was clean and well kept! If I lived in the area I would eat here every chance I got!!

Kept driving by this place so we decided to go for dinner. To be honest, I was expecting nothing special. But I have to say that I was very surprised. I had the cheese enchiladas and a street taco. My wife had street tacos and flautas. Everything was excellent and very tasty. I was told by our server that all of the dishes are made fresh in house and they make their own salsas. The atmosphere was normal for a small Mexican restaurant and there were 4 tables with guests. There is plenty of room for larger parties as well. Just to let you know, they charge 50cents extra if you use a credit or debit card. Not a big deal to us but some may not like that. We will definitely come back.

Chicken taco lunch special

I chose this restaraunt based on past reviews and I wish I would have passed. The service was actually really great. The girl who took my order was pleasant. She was attentive to dine-in customers and packaged my food as soon as it was done. The interior was very clean and spacious. However, the problem was with the serving size. The food was just not worth the price. Granted, I ordered the lunch special, chicken taco, rice and beans. The advertised price was $7.00 but I still expected a decent serving. It was everything but a decent serving. The food looked like I ordered a kids meal. I will not be returning. I do not recommend this establishment if you are hungry. Try the taco truck across the street.

Chile Colorado burrito with rice and beans (I asked for tomatoes and lettuce, an no cheese anywhere)

Delicious! The Chile Colorado was the best I've had. The rice is tasty and the perfect amount of chewiness. They added tomatoes and lettuce at no charge, and left the cheese off the beans at my request.

Food and Salsa here is fantastic. We will not leave hunger, guranteed. The people that served us are kind, the food was fresh and filling. And the prices are reasonable. If I pass by this town again, I will definitely stop and eat here again.

Their tamales are the best around. If your looking for something Spicy and a little less calories go for the Camorones ela diablo.

The street tacos are amazing. The salsa is awesome. The only thing better is the incredible service every single time I've eaten here

It's ok. Not great, not aweful, just ok. I was hoping it would be better cause Amador county has a ton of ok mexican food places already.

We were a group of six diners. Service was attentive and accommodating. My husband had the #25 Shredded beef burrito and chili verde pork burrito. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Toatada Grande and asked for an extra portion of chicken to be added to it. I also swapped out the refried beans for black beans. It was good and I got all my protein and veggies. I asked for a side of salsa as dressing for the salad. It also came with rice but I didn't taste it. I would eat there again. Prices were reasonable. I'm surprised by their overall low rating on Yelp. I think it deserves more.

Only thing we liked was the flour tortilla chips. Service: Roughly handled by Sophia waitress and bartender taking authority when I tried to notify them of the issues with service and food quality. I was blew off and told that "I know not to come back" after gently venting my complaints. I was ignored, interrupted, not allowed to finish my statements, excused, blew off. The staff are in the mindset that they are one of the best Mexican restaurants in Sutter Creek for food and service; however, this I can NEVER agree with. I would rate them at the bottom of any Mexican food I have ever tried in my lifetime. My food was super late getting to us and was only lukewarm. The guacamole had to be requested twice, but by then we had eaten all our flour chips, so had to cancel. Ambiance was non-existent. Only positive was the spacious booth seating.

This spot caught our eye so we decided to give it a try without checking reviews first. Walking in I wasn't sure what to expect. The front dining area was empty, and the staff were all gathered. It was early on a Monday, so I figured maybe it gets busier later... We were seated in another dining room, which actually had a few other diners. We ordered chicken enchiladas, mine were the verdes (Swiss-style) and my husband got the red sauce version. We also added a side of guacamole. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our hopes. The guacamole was missing something, maybe lime, cilantro, or seasoning, it just tasted flat. My enchiladas had a strong, almost sour aftertaste from the green sauce. The rice was overly seasoned, and the beans were just okay. The red enchiladas didn't stand out either. It all felt like it was quickly thrown together, hoping the cheese and sauce would do the heavy lifting. For the price we expected much better quality. It was overpriced for what felt like cafeteria style food. That said, the host and waitress were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. So while the service was great, the food just didn't do it for us.

700TH REVIEW!…read more Colina de Oro (Gold Hill) is an average run of the mill Mexican restaurant. For a Tuesday, it is the only place open to eat for many miles around, so in one regard it is good to have it here. As far as looks and ambiance, this place has seen its day and definitely needs a cleaning and fresh makeover. It looks very dated and a little ragged at the edges. The bar seemed quite active, and the rest of the place had a few patrons, but not many. Chips and salsa, plus water, was brought to the table right away. The salsa was good, chips mainstream. I also ordered a blended margarita, which was rather bland and lacked any punch or alcohol. It just tasted like lime punch. The menu is what one would expect and all the usual offerings. I decided to have the Chile Verde entree dinner, with rice, beans, and my choice of flour tortillas. The pork was OK, again nothing too special. All of it was middle-of-the-road Mexican fare. The service was friendly and cordial enough, yet seemingly bored. So, with that, if you're hungry on a Tuesday in this part of Amador County, this might be your only option. Just don't expect much other than ordinary.
