2/23/2026 Update: I'm still very impressed with the service Sean McDonald of Valkyrie Pest Control provides. As I previously mentioned I receive a text the day before my scheduled service that provides the 2-hour arrival window. Sean has never deviated from that 2-hour window which means I don't have to waste a lot of time sitting at home wondering when the technician is coming. I had discontinued my bait station service several months ago but I recently noticed droppings outside near my trash cans. Prior to this month's service, I texted Sean on a Friday to let him know about it. He replied within an hour and when he came out Monday he identified the droppings as rat and lizard and refilled the bait stations. Bottom line; great communication skills, responsive, knowledgeable and affordable. I definitely recommend Valkyrie Pest Control. read more

We thought we had a mouse living in our walls so we decided to try this company. It was easy to get in touch by text and the service was reliable. They came when they said they would come, accurately diagnosed the problem, and came back a few times to check. Also, a few months later, I thought the mice were back, so they came back free of charge. Turns out some birds had decided to build a nest in our dryer vent and the technician recommended dryer vent cleaning. We've been working with Sean at Valkyrie Pest Control since before we moved into our new home when he did a full rodent proofing of our home prior to move in. He has always been great, so we've stuck with him. He is very responsive and explains everything well. So whenever we someone to do an insect treatment, we always call Sean. Sean has been absolutely wonderful in helping us with our rat problem. My car was absolutely infested with rats and we were at our wits end of how to fix it ourselves. I was adamant that the traps used would euthanize them quickly, hopefully without suffering, and that they would not harm birds of other animals if they ate them. I'm so happy I found Valkyrie Pest Control! I was having an issue with ground squirrels in the front yard, which was identified on site by Sean. He was able to give me a fair priced quote from there and was able to relocate the squirrels once captured. He even sent me a video of their release because we felt so bad about the stress the animals went through. It's not every day you find someone who is this dedicated and compassionate! I could not recommend this business more highly - i would give 10 stars if that was an option! My mom was having rodent issues at her house. She had contracted with other rodent and pest control companies that took her money but didn't solve the problem. She had given up hope, but then I contacted Sean. He set traps, sealed openings and after a few visits and feeling confident that the rats were all caught he cleaned up all the droppings and debris. So professional, so honest, so courteous. After my current company was unable to get rid of ants in my kitchen and family room over a 2 month period, I got in touch with Sean. He replied quickly to my inquiry and was able to set-up an appt to treat my house right away. Today he came and started treatment. Excellent communication, VERY thorough initial inspection and he treated the house from top to bottom. He found the source of my ant problem (yay!) and took considerable time overall. I HIGHLY recommend Valkyrie Pest Control! From all the pest control companies I've had to work with, Sean has been the most thorough and meticulous one of all! For the initial visit, he searched EVERY single inch of the house and didn't rush or pressure me into purchasing some insane rodent proofing package like other companies have. Some other companies have even quoted me upwards of $3K without even examining a single thing!!! He was able to find one opening that no other company had found and was honest to say that, even though it is an opening, there is no proof of rat activity right by that area. I'm extremely happy with the services received and continue to receive with our monthly visits for the outdoor rodent bait stations and spraying of the home for certain bugs. Rats.... Seriously.... Rats. We moved into a home that had a history of rat infestation. The previous owner had paid $$$$ for eradication and sterilization of the attics as well as plugging access points in the crawl spaces. After the first rains of 2021 we suddenly had more rats in the crawl space. We researched and looked at the reviews for Valkyrie which were excellent. I called and an incredibly professional man named Sean showed up. He crawled under the house for HOURS plugging holes and then trapped the ones remaining inside, all at a reasonable price. Just wanted to give a shout out to Sean who came to our home to check out our presumed rat visitor situation. Sean did an inspection and determined that everything we were doing (traps and sealed off entry points under our house) was exactly what he would do for us. Gave us some additional information and some trap tips and said that we did not need to pay him for services we could do on our own. How honest is that?! Especially since another company wanted to charge us $1650.00 to do things we didn't need to do! So far his suggestions worked and we've trapped 3 (ugh). Hopefully only one more to go. As a person with an extreme phobia/aversion to a specific type of insect, I am so so happy that my partner and I found this company. We had finally purchased our first home only to discover the neighborhood has a roach problem where they come out at night. I wanted to sell my house immediately and run, it was my worst nightmare. Might seem silly but everyone has their fears, and this is mine. Sean is so professional. He takes the time to answer all questions and is very honest. We haven't seen a single one on our property in MONTHS. Honestly if I could I would rate this business a 10+. Sean is just wonderful to work with. He's professional, responsive and super honest. I had a mouse issue in my home. His assessment of the problem was spot on. He identified the entry points and quickly purchased materials to close off entry where mice were entering in my garage. Other businesses say it would take 2-3 months to trap a mouse. He trapped it in 2 weeks. I am super relieved & now have a piece of mind. He came to remove the mouse even on short notice.
