If you need pest control or dry rot repairs, call The Termite Guy, I highly recommend The Termite Guy! Jared, Hugo and colleagues, were absolutely outstanding. They were courteous, incredibly knowledgeable, and true professionals. They did amazing custom work replacing the trim and crafting molding to go perfectly around the house. On top of the top-tier repair work, they also took care of our general pest control and completely got rid of the ants. The entire experience was just perfect from start to finish. If you need any pest control or structural repair work done right, this is definitely the team to call! read more

Jared Smith came out to inspect for termites. I did not go with company, but Jared is by far the best at respecting your property. I went with a company that was lower in price, but this is not always the best solution. If you want someone who goes the extra mile at hunting down termites, is professional, I suggest you call and ask for Jared. read more

The Termite Guy - Thank You Aaron for fixing our patio cover. - Pest Control Near Me - Newbury Park, California

Quick estimate and flexible scheduling made things easier for us. The estimator was honest with what needed to be done.

The Termite Guy tented our house for termites. Overall, they did a fine job putting up the tent, walking me through the process, and responding to my questions. And even repairing my clay tile roof. Yes, the workers did break some clay tiles, but TTG warranty covers the ones they break. They had someone from their renovation and construction branch (yes, they have one) come out to repair the tiles they broke. Since they were fixing the clay tiles anyway, I had them repair the rest of the tiles and do some minor stucco repair as well. For the tile and stucco patching, their quote came in just a hair lower than other competitors, but for the gutter replacement, TTG came in quite a bit higher other shops. So, definitely get competing bids for general repair work. The reason it's four stars instead of five is because in through most phases of work, I had to do a bit of clean up. This was a minor issue for me, but may be more of an issue for the elderly or disabled. Shout-outs to a couple of people: - Gilbert was our inspector. He was responsive, knowledgeable, AND gracious enough to drive out to us twice to give us termite bags for our foodstuffs. He was a pleasure to work with. (Do I think it's strange for an industry to have its inspectors make their commission from the fumigation companies? I sure do! But hey, that's capitalism for ya!) - Nick was the guy who gave us the estimate for our roof repairs. He was professional and generally helpful about the work that needed to be done. - Mike came and repaired our clay tiles. He was knowledgeable, polite, and meticulous. read more

The Termite Guy is an outstanding company. Jared came out to investigate any termite activity. None found but there was dryrot that needed attention. He sent Aaron out to make the repairs. Aaron was positive, professional and hardworking. He cut out all dryrot, installed new beams, sanded, primed and painted to perfection. Jared and Aaron are the reason I highly recommend The Termite Guy. read more

The Termite Guy employees were excellent and provided wonderful service. Jared came out to estimate the job and discover any termites and woodrot. Aaron corrected all the woodrot....painted the new materials, installed the new boards beautifully and cleaned the site after every work day. I would absolutely recommend these people. read more

I'm giving 2 stars partially because the termites were remediated. Unfortunately the customer experience is far from good. Like other customers giving low reviews, if you have clay or concrete tiles and you are seeking full fumigation, you might face a similar outcome. I'd be okay with this risk if it was disclosed early on. Unfortunately I was called about an extra liability waiver while the job was starting (sub-contract team was on-site and tenting material was rolled out on the ground). This gave me no time to weigh my options as I and the family had already spent two days packing and preparing the house while already moved out. By springing this last minuet liability waiver on me, you've placed the customer in a bad spot. I had to ask myself: do I drop the job after all the work put in to preparing the house, taking time off work, and moved out? or do I accept a strongly worded liability notice that extensive damage will occur? I signed the liability waiver. So I accept that I'm responsible (financially) for the damage. However you delegated the job to a sub-contractor (Best Care Fumigation) and collectively created a very poor customer experience. I currently have roofing repair and solar panel contractors coming out for repairs. See attached photos for 20+ tiles broken and evidence workers walked across my solar install. My advice for providing a better experience to future customers is: 1) Do the job yourself and not sub-contract. 2) Have better standards with sub-contracting. 3) Incentivize your sub-contractor to balance out speed of the job with quality of the job (performance based bonus). 4) Give the liability waiver to all customers with tile roofs when you do your initial quote... not when the job starts. 5) Offer insurance to your customers so that they pay in order to ensure damage/risk is covered. My Stats: 10 year old concrete tile roof with asphalt section for solar array. read more

James came to my house and thoroughly educated me about my specific situation in my home and we came up with the best course of action for treating the termites. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional and he took his time with me to explain everything I needed to know. I have owned my home for over 40 years now and I've seen many different termite representatives, and I was very impressed with his service. read more

About a year ago we used this company for termites. If you have a tile roof beware. They take absolutely no responsibility for broken tiles or vent pipes. I went back and forth and got tired of their lies. Beware. Get up on your roof and take pictures of the before, that's all they will believe. We finally had a professional roofer come look. We have over 20 tiles broken, they said they didn't break any. We are spending $2600 to fix the roof. Oh, and in case someone says that I'm not in their files I'm attaching the email. read more

Well, I had a situation today that started out pretty dire for me. I went in my bedroom and found at least 50 termites swarming around the carpet. I went to vacuum it up and five minutes later I had more termites. I called several pest control companies said that they can come out on Monday well by Monday I probably wouldn't have a house. Lucky for me I reached out to yelp who got me in touch with the termite guy. John was so professional and as busy as he was was gracious enough to know my dilemma and fit me in a schedule he showed up in less than 15 minutes found the problem where the termites were coming in 20 minutes later took care of my situation vacuumed up all the termites on my rug, and I am now a very happy customer John, you are terrific. A handyman saw a spot on my eves and said it was termites, so immediately I contacted THE TERMITE GUY who had termited my house 5 1/2 years ago. He looked at it and said it was NOT termites, and that it was just peeling paint. He could have said it was termites and I would have believed him. We just had a job completed to replace a horizontal beam, an upright beam, and treat several areas that were infested with termites and or dry rotted on our back patio wooden overhang. Mary, the office manager has been the model of efficiency - friendly, prompt with replies, and helpful in answering questions. The workmen, Joe and Jeff, were complete professionals. They did excellent work with added attention to detail. I give them and The Termite Guy the highest recommendation for their very fine work. Jerry Caplan, Thousand Oaks, CA read more

My house will only be visited by the termite guy! I had other contractors come over after I was pretty sure I had gotten rid of my termite colony. They told me I would need to tent. Which would have been another $3000 before Christmas. The termite guy came over he immediately knew what to do and impressed us with his knowledge and integrity. He confirmed that I had eradicated the colony and what to do next. He didn't charge us anything and no tenting is needed. I feel this kind of business is rare to come by nowadays and I am very very glad!! read more

Look no further for an honest and efficient company to handle your termite issue. We had an obvious termite infestation with a small hole in the ceiling and active termites with droppings. Good pricing, good service. This company seemed professional and had their stuff together, unlike a few others I contacted. I went ahead and had the tenting service. Prompt, on-time, did everything they said they would. I like them. read more

I have had a few dealings with The Termite Guy now (two or three inspections, one service of subterranean termites, one tent treatment). Every time I have called, I have been impressed by Mary on the phone who is incredibly kind and helpful. She has taken the time to answer all my questions and was very well informed about all of the nuances of the business. I met with Jon who did my inspections, services, and helped with some special circumstances on property. He came out to the house a few additional times to make sure that things were going to work out properly, and they never tacked on any surcharges. I have been very happy with the professionalism, communication, and quality of the service of this company. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and will look to them for future pest control needs. read more

Noticed that I had termite droppings falling from a small hole in my ceiling yesterday. Called Termite Guy right away, and they got Kevin out to my house this morning. He got in the rafters and confirmed that the damage was very minor. He treated it on the spot and told me what to watch for in case they come back, as well as laid out what additional treatment options were available in case I end up needing it. He's also a super pleasant person. Couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I also used him for the termite inspection when I sold my last house, and he was really good and through for that too. I highly recommend these guys! read more

The estimator and the office are not the same as the vendor that performs the tenting. The fumigation crew was nice but they told me they were understaffed and that's why they didn't finish on time. Not a big issue. Dish Network ha been notified of the fumigation. When they returned to reinstall the dish I was asked to come up and look at the damage that was done by the fumigation company. The Termite Guy uses a release of liability clause for damage to tile and even show example photos of tile in the contract. I have a composition roof. The ridge cap was crushed and ripped with holes in the majority of the ridge line. Also had a boot crush one of the roof vents. I expected some wear but was not prepared for the blatant disregard, negligence and damage. At their request I was asked to provide photos and an estimate for the damage. Then was told it was not their responsibility. I was told it had to go to "Corporate". The repairs will be $4000. They took $500 off the fumigation bill and said if I didn't like it, take them to small claims court. I'm fortunate that the Dish Network technician pointed out the damage. I never would have known my roof was so damaged. I would not have been able to prepare for the rain and undoubtedly would have received a great deal of water damage. Its disturbing that they would take advantage of a disabled senior citizen. And if they did it to me you know there are others. read more

I called The Termite Guy this morning regarding little black bugs that I thought were termites all throughout my house. They appeared overnight and I had noted a swarm of termites outside my home so I thought they were termites. John, the inspector, happened to be in the area and stopped by within a half hour of my call. He informed me I have rove beetles not termites. I'm contacting my regular pest control company since The Termite Guy doesn't deal with those types of bugs. I'm so very grateful John was able to help me out this morning. Loved the amazingly quick and helpful service. Thank you! read more

I had made this business my second call to have a second opinion regarding termites. I spoke with Mary who was very polite and professional. Mary was very knowledgeable and helped me understand what I should be looking for in the company I chose and never tried to force her company on me. I ended up getting what I needed from a competitor and called Mary back to let her know. She didn't have a bad word to say and even continued to answer questions I had. While I did not use them for my inspection, I will for the repairs needed. If you find yourself in need of a termite inspection I definitely recommend calling The Termite Guy. read more

We saw termite eggs and called Summit to check it out. When I called they specified that a quick check of the problem area was no charge but if I wanted them to do a full check including the attic it would be $75.00. I choose the full check. Jon showed up exactly on time and was very nice. Luckily he found only a small area that needed to be treated and quoted us $200.00. Jon sent a proposal a few days later and we scheduled the treatment. Jon showed up on time again and squirted bug poison into my floors which took only a few minutes. After he finished, he told us that because it was so quick, he didn't think we should have to pay $200 so he knocked $50 off the price! Great service, nice people. I'll use them again. read more
