The following is translated from Spanish: My dad simply asked to borrow a broom, to which Nicholas said: "Oh, you don't have one? Why even come if you don't have one?" My dad: "Well, then let me rent it from you." Nicholas: "If you have money to rent one, why don't you just buy one?" He never ended up letting my dad borrow it, he just keeping talking as he walked away. My dad then proceeded to ask another worker for a broom who let him borrow it with no hesitation. After losing faith in Craig's List over the years, I had no idea what to do with my appliances and furnishings. I also wanted my items to "give back" to humanity. So, I called Bay Area Recycle. They were extremely helpful, informative and professional. They were unable to take my furnishings, but they referred me to someone who could help (Salvation Army and Bay Area Crisis Nursery). They WERE able to take my refrigerator for $35 cash, in a timely manner-- 2 days later! They removed the appliance from the storage unit, so I did not have to do any heavy lifting. Overall, an excellent experience. Why only 4 stars, and not 5? Well, they only accepted cash; and they only take electronics and appliances. However, I want to reiterate-- these folks are wonderful! I would use them again.

They quoted me: $40 for curbside pick-up or $65 to come up one-flight of stairs and remove it from my apartment. 2 guys showed up on time and the price I signed for was the price I was quoted. Plus, they recycle as much of the mattress as they can whereas the other companies just take it to the Dump.

Man said he was going based off what was in the computer. After seeing the price difference I wanted to separate the copper to make a couple extra dollars since I had it mixed. I asked the man handling the transactions that told me a different price on the copper if he can lend me some clippers and he said he cant let me borrow them yet he had my ID and I was going to do it right in front of him. Words cant explain how frustrated I was. I ended up taking a loss at the end of the day and affected me mentally due to financial struggles.

It's one of the few food banks that doesn't require ID, proof of income, or proof of residency. They were really out here trying to do good and help the less fortunate. I see the director Mr. Buggs out there unloading the van daily. The people there work hard. By chance when I moved to Vallejo and was looking for a cheap fridge I saw one for $40 on FB Marketplace. It was Faith Food Fridays. I had no idea until I inquired about it. Someone helped me load it into my truck. I insisted on tipping them an extra $20-40 but they refused. So I told them to take it as a donation for the organization. Another occasion when I interact with FFF was as a representative of another non-profit. I asked to post some flyers for a free pancake day event on their window. They were very happy to help! Mr. Buggs showed me himself where to post them and offered to let me table there on Friday during their weekly distribution. The willingness to help others is truly rare. Often times charities are full of egos. Not here. During the summer I see they often host free showers. Other times it's free haircuts or nail days. I love how they're very open to collaborations with other groups that want to do good and serve the community. Their windows are often full of flyers for events hosted by other organizations. They're good people and if you have items to donate or wants to volunteer this is a place that I believe deserves the support!

The woman looked like she was not interested, even though she received the free premium items. Do better!
