I believe I got a nice chunk of money for how much recycling I brought!…read more But the cash lady!? WATCH OUT FOR HER!!!! Let's start at the beginning, there was a LOT FULL sign at the entrance, not blocking at all & I saw no attendant there bringing cars in from other lot or anything so I wasn't going to trust that, I slowly pulled in & surprisingly found ONE singular spot open right in front! I wasn't sure if it was a walkway to the front but the line wrapped around the next 3-4 spots so I knew I wouldn't be in any way. I got all my recycling in the first two wired bins I could snag near me, it wasn't until I was in line that I noticed a small sign, not even near the empty cans, that described what materials they wanted placed in specific bins. (There's wired & blue plastic ones) I don't believe I followed what they wanted exactly but they still took my materials! So that's good. I had a broken beaker in my glass & mentioned it to the gentleman doing the weighing & he told me they'd take it I'm fine! I watched as he weighed out my minimal amount of materials & then wrote me out a receipt of sorts. I got to the front, the lady on the right took my clipboard & then said the lady on the left will give me my cash. NOW, I had read Yelp reviews on this place before going & a person said a lady fitting this one's description had jipped her $10 ! Off of a $65 total! Insane! So I made sure to check my money before even turning around to leave, I could tell my amount was $11 & I flipped up the 10 & said politely, "this is only $10, I'm supposed to have $11?" She got flustered & apologized while digging out another dollar for me. I'm glad I read reviews bc I might've walked off & got in my car before realizing, then probably would've been too scared to say something! So that lady being a serial jipper & the state of the parking lot, potholes & no attendant are the reasons for stars knocked off! This place is so far east in Fairfield I might as well just go to VacaRecyling, I enjoyed that place!

Around July-August 2024 they switched customer service portals. New account numbers. The phone…read moredirectory even is different from what I remember. In the past they had a system where you could leave a name and phone number for a call back instead of staying on the line. I wish they kept that call back feature. I think it'll be a lot better in the future once the kinks are worked out. On the website they acknowledged the long phone call wait times and said they're actively looking to add more help. Personally I've always been able to get a hold of a person and they're usually very helpful. Last time I was on hold for about 10 minutes before being connected. In the past I've used their online contact form to set up service. Your mileage may vary if you're renting through a big box landlord and the account is in their name. But that isn't Recology's fault. I've called for bulky item pick ups three times in the past couple years and requested bins twice. It's always been very timely! They come when they said they would. Usually that means the next regular service day for your address. The garbage men have been kind. I once overstuffed the trash bin. They still took it that day but left a note saying next time the lid must be able to close or they will charge extra. It is a little unusual they bill quarterly in advance. But what can you do? There isn't a choice for your weekly residential waste disposal. But if there was I'd choose Recology over the competitor that services Fairfield any day. I've never had issues with their service.

They refuse to change them out because they aren't broken in their eyes however every time one of my tenants puts too much liquid in them they leak all over. The supervisor came out to inspect the trash cans. It takes a lot of arrogance to park in my other tenants' parking spots and stay there as long as he did. My tenants deserve their parking spots ready for them whenever they need them. That isn't your place to park. Obnoxious company. I was telling my wife last night I should keep track of all the times I have to call them and all the times they skipped my account and sue them to get back all the money that is lost with them always wasting my time having to call them. Going to try to upload video of them examining their trash cans. I spend a lot of money on this company. They can work on their customer service. Update: emailed customer service directly and the president of the company after finding his email on the computer. Derek took great care of me. All my bins got changed and I'm assuming supervisor was aware of my complaint. Now I know how to escalate for future use. At least somebody there has their head screwed on correctly.
