Only got $16 back but it's better than nothing. If you're looking for a recycling center, going here is your best bet. Their prices are better than their competitors and they're organized/clean.

Workers always pick up your bins for you when you're done putting your recycling in as well and receiving your payment is quick and easy via check. Some say you lose more money by turning in recycling by weight instead of per bottle but those like me who just need to recycle and get out right away, this is your place for good value in experience while doing a tedious task. Workers deserve a raise. They work hard to make the process go as smooth as possible for all customers. Thank you for all your help. Vaca Recycling seemed to be V Town's preferred recycling center, so, I thought today would be the day to see why. The staff are courteous and stayed busy weighing recyclables and returning the emptied bins to the area for customers to grab as they arrived. It was fast, easy, and painless. I didn't even have to show ID! (Only required on sales over $100). I was given a receipt in no time and I walked a short distance to redeem my cash from the convenient store in the same lot. The parking lot is small. But, not somewhere I couldn't maneuver through. Vaca Recycling is located on E. Monte Vista and Callen Road. It shares a parking lot with a gas station (Pemex? ..I believe it's called) I'll come back again when I have another load of recycles to unload :)

After dozens to calls, I finally reach someone who provides me pricing for a mulch delivery in the same city as their facility. I try calling back for over two weeks and leave messages on the voicemail, receive zero call back. Possibly this is an issue with their phone tree? I tried calling at different times of the day, over several weeks, and ended up at the same woman's voicemail box. I call their landscaping department, he is unable to assist or to connect me with anyone who can. I finally fill out a 'contact us' form on the website and receive a call from someone who was clearly miffed at me for having a crappy experience trying to contact them and putting that in an email, that was odd because I was trying to do business with them. To top this amazing experience off, I learned that the woman I spoke with had quoted me incorrect pricing. The man on the phone was less than pleasant to speak with so I figured I am not the right client for them, and ended the call before he could throw any additional attitude. I will gladly give my business to anyone else. It should not be this difficult to have mulch delivered.

In the past they had a system where you could leave a name and phone number for a call back instead of staying on the line. I wish they kept that call back feature. I think it'll be a lot better in the future once the kinks are worked out. On the website they acknowledged the long phone call wait times and said they're actively looking to add more help. Personally I've always been able to get a hold of a person and they're usually very helpful. Last time I was on hold for about 10 minutes before being connected. In the past I've used their online contact form to set up service. Your mileage may vary if you're renting through a big box landlord and the account is in their name. But that isn't Recology's fault. I've called for bulky item pick ups three times in the past couple years and requested bins twice. It's always been very timely! They come when they said they would. Usually that means the next regular service day for your address. The garbage men have been kind. I once overstuffed the trash bin. They still took it that day but left a note saying next time the lid must be able to close or they will charge extra. It is a little unusual they bill quarterly in advance. But what can you do? There isn't a choice for your weekly residential waste disposal. But if there was I'd choose Recology over the competitor that services Fairfield any day. I've never had issues with their service.

Hassles that could've been mitigated or avoided altogether with competent assistance in the beginning from Recology.
