    Good location but very busy and chaotic. They make you take the lids off all your water bottles. They only pay by check.

At the time Braid was just kicking off and after having coffee with Rebecca and Chris (co-directors of Braid) and participating in an orientation I signed up. Fast forward four years and the relationships I have made with my co-mentors, group facilitator and our youth are some of the most meaningful ones in my life. I have had the amazing experience of being a part of of a young girl/tween/teen's life and my life is better because of this relationship. I also feel wholeheartedly that our youth truly loves her times with us and has had many experiences she wouldn't otherwise have had. Braid Mission is unique in that the mentors work as a team of three mentors and one facilitator. This has proven to be HUGELY helpful in having people to lean on and brainstorm challenging situations together. The relationships that I have with these other woman are amazing and I am so grateful to have them in my life. If you are looking to make a difference in a child's life and have an hour a week, I would encourage to reach out to Braid Mission!

I spend roughly 1 hour a month recapping the previous month and planning the schedule/activities for the following month in a team meeting, and 1 hour 2 or 3 Saturdays with our kid. I am grateful for the excellent and ongoing training, clear organization, monthly activities and consistent community that Braid has provided. Jose is very helpful and always looking out for everyone and he is the most passionate, hardworking, and kind person. Great break room also. Provides coffee, snacks, and etc! Not too hard to do keep in mind every bag you make is feeding a family and it helps a lot. I was really nervous and afraid that the task of doing community service was going to be hard and I have anxiety and being in there got me the comfort I needed to keep going and the employees always gets me going too. It made me to the fact that I want to donate my time at least once a month after doing 103 hours worth of community service. Jocelyn is also helpful with my situation and is best and giving advice, helping out with my situation, and very caring for those that need community service for any reason! I had absolutely no idea how much the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano does for our community! This place is gigantic! They are committed to providing those in need in our community with healthy food options. This place is stacked with food we are talking racks on racks on racks! If there is EVER a zombie outbreak this is where I am going ‍ we will be set! In all seriousness I was so amazed at all the different ways they help our community! From no ask drive up food donation locations, to suppling large amounts or food to shelters. There are so many ways to get involved with this nonprofit and they need all the help they can get. Thank you for a wonderful mixer Solano Hispanic Chamber and everything you do for your members. Interested in getting involved here is how You can donate money! The food bank is able to purchase food at whole sale less then grocery store prices. Every $1 donated is enough food for 2 meals. You can donate food! Most needed items: Protein- Peanut Butter Hearty Soups Dried or Canned Beans Canned Meats & Tuna Fruits & Veggies- Canned Fruit in Juice Canned Vegetables Canned Tomato Products Grains- Brown Rice Whole Wheat Pasta Whole Grain Cereal You can volunteer: You can host a food drive! 1. Seems the original vet only wanted to charge me for drainage, patch and meds. Then charge again for surgery (since they knew the ear would not heal w/o surgery). Dr Goh at AFC not only drained the hematoma but also repaired my dog's ear to where it won't fill with blood nor fluid again. Thank you Dr Goh for your attention and care for my fur baby!!! She's a sweet girl and is loved. The AFC has staff that love animals!!!

Their store includes vintage pop cultural lunchboxes, a cat collection including a working Garfield phone, vintage clothing, vintage dinnerware and jewelry boxes, antique matchboxes and even an eclectic vintage unicorn collection. They are well integrated into the tight knit Crockett community and host fundraisers for local cat related nonprofits.
