Excellent place to get your cat spayed or neutered. You pay based on income level. Our vet quoted $1,200, we pay $400 including putting in a chip. The surgery went well without complications. It's hard to get appointments so plan ahead. Check website when appointments open up for that month. It goes pretty quickly. read more

Long story short, we ended up with two four month old kittens (boy and girl) at the end of March. It was Cat-tastrophy Day. Appointments can be made on their website on the 15th of the month for the following month. It's actually a good system, just follow their procedure and answer their questions. Note that appoints can fill up quickly. I made the first appointment at 6 am. By the time I finished and started the process for a second appointment, the day was filled so I could not have them both done on the same day. I ended up scheduling the male for the following week. Timing was everything here because the girl went into heat before her appointment. I have never experienced that before and hope never to again! We named them Thomas and Allison. Yep - Tom Cat and Allie Cat. The process for dropping of and picking up is easy. Very efficient and smooth transactions overall. Before Thomas's procedure, Dr. Goh called to inform us that he had a heart murmur which apparently could be an issue while under anesthesia but we had her to go forward with the procedure. Both recovered well from their procedures, Allie understandably took a little longer to feel better. Their rates are very reasonable. Originally was going to do the TNR rate (very low) but could not bear to have their little ears clipped. We went with their next tier rate which is still very reasonable and left their little ears intact. They get along with our four dogs, a huge plus! read more

Awesome, friendly people! Great service. My GS Rotty mix had a left ear hematoma that didn't heal after taking her to her normal vet. Seems the original vet only wanted to charge me for drainage, patch and meds. Then charge again for surgery (since they knew the ear would not heal w/o surgery). Dr Goh at AFC not only drained the hematoma but also repaired my dog's ear to where it won't fill with blood nor fluid again. Thank you Dr Goh for your attention and care for my fur baby!!! The entire experience from beginning to end was good. Reserving the spay date and time online is very convenient. There is a number to call if you have questions which you can leave on an answering machine and they get back to you or communicate via email. There is an entire process for checking in on the day of and picking up post procedure. It all happens outside and it is there that you will meet any of the staff and sign papers, in their large parking lot. Directions are given by email and if you read everything all the way through and follow the directions it will all come together well. The clinic has it all figured out. They need a well run system as they do quite a few procedures on these surgery days. I didn't hear from the clinic when they were done with the procedure. You were just suppose to show up at the pick up time along with everyone else. Luna's procedure went well and her incision and stitches looked good. There wasn't any redness, swelling or drainage. Luna was given pain meds and antibiotics for recovery. I was given a number to call if there were problems and or questions. I did not need to call because there weren't any problems. I never met the vet that operated on Luna, but the staff were very courteous and helpful from beginning to end. I would highly recommend Animal Fix Clinic. read more

Took my pet to get neutered here several years ago. He ended up getting an infection from it, which is why I wouldn't recommend this clinic. I hope other pet owners have had a better experience. It was a lot of stress and the infection prolonged the use of the cone for my dog. read more

Very happy with the service we received. I found them when looking for someone to neuter our older dog (10yo). Price was exactly as listed on the website. The vet even went above and beyond by checking a lump she found on my dog's stomach, explaining, and providing a tissue sample that we could bring to our regular vet for further examination. The only hiccup was them telling me to pickup at a certain time when I dropped off. It's cliche, but if I can give them 10 stars, I'd give them 15! This place is amazing, and it's due to ALL the employees there from the people who check us in, the amazing nurses, and of course, Dr.Goh! It can be stressful for a pet owner to leave your babies in someone else's hands, but they alleviate those fears with their calm and caring demeanor. It was very reassuring. We traveled to Richmond from The South Bay so they told us that they'd take our dogs first to make sure we don't hit traffic adding to our babies anxiety...we were on the road home by 1:30p. So thank you guys so much for your consideration and for making a big deal with the smallest details. Our dogs were sent home with brand new harnesses, not saying everyone gets one, but it's their caring nature for their clients and fur babies that they treat. A day later, Dash and Boy Boy are doing well and thankful for finding a clinic run by angels. I highly highly recommend this clinic. THIS VET INJURED MY DOG while in their care! When you take your dog to a vet, you want to trust that if you must leave your dog with them for the day to get the treatment that you asked for that they will take good care of your pet while in their care! Well, that is not what happened to me and my dog Charlie! He is 2 years old and I took him to the Animal Fix Clinic to be neutered. However, while in their care, Charlie ended up being injured due to their recklessness! Take a look at the pictures and you will see a picture of the type of crate they put him in. If you notice the door is made of wire mesh. The problem is, the crate that they put Charlie in, the wire mesh was large enough for him to stick his nose through it and he was able to bite the wire and he BROKE A TOOTH! They ended up having to totally pull his tooth out altogether! I got Charlie out of a really bad situation and have spent $1400 getting him all fixed up and after all the trauma he has already been through to have to now endure this? Not acceptable, not to mention the trauma it put ME through! What angered me the most was the cavalier attitude they had about it, especially the vet, Dr, Jean Goh, who never offered an apology and acted like I was just supposed to accept it as being OK and not be a problem! Dr. Goh! IT IS A PROBLEM! It is outragious how they can be so careless and it hurts how they can be so cavalier about it and act like my feelings about this don't matter! Nothing less than SHAMEFUL! All they want you to see are the GOOD reviews! Well, I am telling you, everything is not all roses and sunshine at the Animal Fix Clinic and people should be a lot more careful about who they choose to do any kind of vet work on their pets! Sliding scale (based on income tier) relatively low cost spay and neuter clinic. Website was very easy to navigate and schedule. English and Spanish text. Most places in the Bay Area are booked out 3+ months in advanced. Many shelters or SPCAs have limited their availability to county residents or shut down indefinitely all together due to staffing shortage. Vets are quoting $500+ for neuter and I heard $800-1000 for spay surgery. So in comparison the 2023 fee Animal Fix Clinic charges of ~$300 is low cost. In comparison Animal Fix Clinic seems to book one month at a time. So it's much more likely you'll actually be able to get an appointment. If they're fully booked the website states when the next round of appointments will open for next month. After successfully requesting an appointment you'll receiving email confirmation and instructions. Easy and good experience with them. I hope they are able to continue providing this much needed service. read more

What a great non-profit organization. The rescue group where I just adopted my Yorkie referred me to them for spaying. They were so efficient as soon as arrived on a Sunday stormy morning. I was checked-in and they immediately provided care for my dog Rú I picked her up as promised. Staff is amazing. So detailed and provided me post surgery care for my dog. They even tended to her dental and provided me information what I should communicate with my regular vet for her dental follow up. Took my puppy here to get spayed. They're busy but the staff is friendly and they assured me that my dog was in good hands. I was crazy worried about her because when I dropped her off she was scared to death (Shaking and trembling. She's NEVER done that). I felt like I made a mistake and almost changed my mind. But everything went great! They called me with an update and when I picked her up the nurse came out and let me know how the procedure went, talked about recovery, answered all of my questions, game me instructions for the meds and she's healing just fine. People thought I was crazy getting my dog spayed because her puppies would go for a pretty penny HOWEVER... I'm not a dog breeder, I would rather my beautiful girl live longer than make me money and I love her even more knowing that she's my forever family member and not a cash cow/ATM. The wait for an appointment is long and hectic but worth it. They have a donation list on the window. I'm going to drop off some supplies. They deserve it! read more

(For spay/neuter review / my experience) A few weeks ago, I was looking to spay my pup, and was looking around low cost spay/neuter clinics and fell upon Animal Fix. They were entirely booked out for September, and told me to wait until September to book for October, or be put on their cancellation list (for if anyone cancelled, they would notify me). Well that ended up happening. I received a phone call at 7am and asked if I can come in. I did have to make a few phone calls before calling them back to confirm the surgery because it was short notice. Anyways, drop off was between 7:30-8:30am, I arrived around 8am, and check in was easy. You do have to pull into their parking lot, stay in your car, and they will come to you to fill out some information / pay for the surgery / give you some information of what to do. I also asked if I can pick up my pup earlier if she by chance happen to finish early. She was and they let me pick her up when she was ready to go, since my drive was quite far and worse during traffic. So thank you to Animal Fix team for that. Pick up was also straight forward, pull into their parking lot and someone will come out and confirm your pet. They also went over the medications, how to give it, normal signs / symptoms of post op surgery and to notify them with anything abnormal etc. Everything is going smoothly so far. I had two of my French Bulldogs spayed at AFC on 4/8/2024. To say the least, I was very nervous as brachiocephalic breeds, run a higher chance of complications with and from anesthesia. Because of this, most low cost spay/neuter clinics, including local shelters will not accept Frenchies or other brachiocephalic breeds. However, not only did AFC accept my girls, Dr. Goh and her team took EXCEPTIONAL care of both of them! The organization of the entire clinic is stellar, from scheduling (only done online around mid month, so may be a bit of a wait to get an appointment), to drop off and pick up! One of my girls, Paris, bounced right back to normal within 5-6 hrs after picking her up,(I believe a bit too soon), because of this, I was worried about my other girl, London, who took almost 2 days to start acting like herself again. Needless to say, Dr. Goh was absolutely caring, responsive and patient with my after hour concerns. I would like to mention that AFC is a nonprofit clinic who is accepting donations and also has a GoFundMe to help sponsor the move to their new location. If you are local to this wonderful organization, they can also use old newspapers and other types of donations. read more

We took our kitten to Fix Our Ferals to have her spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. It started with an online application. We received an email reply very shortly after submitting our application. I emailed back and forth with them with questions, always receiving extremely timely responses. They provided us with available dates and once we booked our appointment they emailed very detailed instructions on when and where to drop her off for her procedure. We dropped her off on a Sunday morning and picked her up later that afternoon. Check in and pick up were both quick and easy.
