My only problem with this place is the fact its sooo booked out. I think I called in August to get my dog washed and we didnt have anything until December. My Border Collie got desheded and looked brand new so I love that! But just keep in mind that it takes time to get an appointment... read more

Amber is a PRO at cat washing! I brought my feisty nearly 2 yr old dilute calico in and Amber kept her under control for the wash, condition, & dry! Nail trimming would have been included, but I did that before I came in because I was a bit nervous with how my gal might behave. Plus, that's not the part I have a challenge with. Booked out yes and SO WORTH seeing this HIGHLY EXPERIENCED WOWMAN at work! The price for the wash was very fair. Dynamite pets held true to the appointment time and got us out in less than 1/2 an hour from cat out of the bag to back in. I will definitely be back with my other cats and super happy that I was able to be patient with waiting for today to arrive! read more

Loving and careful with our family cat. Our cat hates to be trimmed but seemed to warm up quickly and let the process go forward. Super convenient for me - with first class service. Thank you read more

Thank you for taking our appointment even though we were late . We will definitely come back !

We have been going to Amber for three years, even thought the Covid years. My Butter Bean was a mess and she keeps him looking cute. She books up fast and I didn't have an appointment till July, since she had a cancellation she called me and I ran Moose to her right away for a quick wash and dry... his fur was so long she took the time to give him a much needed trim. He isn't the easiest fellow but Amber has magic shears! Thank you so much Amber read more

We had a great experience here. Our pup is a rescue so she can be a bit fearful and wiggly but she's also very overgrown and needed a haircut. We were able to really go into detail about how she looked when we first rescued her and what we were looking for and the result was incredible, just spot on exactly what we wanted. We're hoping our girl chills out about baths and grooming and it goes a bit easier next time but our expectations were exceeded. We chose this place because it's woman-owned, small, and local. We also wanted a space without kennels or other dogs because our girl is fearful and new. They book out pretty far but it's well worth the wait. read more

I went by looking to get some wet kitten food, but the store is very small and options are limited. The lady working there told me they didn't have any because companies don't make wet kitten food, and its not really a thing. I couldn't believe someone who works in a pet shop doesn't know about wet kitten food and how its higher in calories because kittens require higher calories, and not just for making slurry. So ill just be taking me business to Petco instead where i have a large selection of kitten food wet and dry. read more

This small shop is tucked away near the Hercules waterfront. They cater to dogs; there was nothing for my cats. I'm not an expert of dogs and what they like or require. It did seem to me that they carry top-of-the-line products and a lot of healthy pet foods. The pet food is human grade. It's unlikely that kitty babies will ask for a puppy, however, if they do decided they want one I will shop for the dog here. I like to support small local business. read more

I took my dog Jack in to be groomed. He has fur that is downy like a baby's hair and it is long. He doesn't get mats but his undercoat is a real pain in the butt. He is also the kind of dog that thinks everything is tragic and it is going to kill him. A real drama king if you know what I mean. I took him to PetSmart before and was not satisfied. By my dogs reactions I kind of felt like they had been mean to him. So I was wary when I walked in the door with my dog. But when I walked out I had decided that that was my go to place for all my pet grooming needs. My dog was not upset when I picked him up. He looked, smelled, and felt wonderful. She was extremely fast friendly and efficient. But best of all she was more than reasonably priced. She did a really good job on my dog and treated him well. read more

This small shop is just the cutest shop where you can buy all your dog and cat supplies from food, treats, and toys! The owner is Amber and she is very friendly! I came here for the first time to have grooming on my little dog and Amber was very polite and asking questions on how I wanted to have my dog's hair cut. She cut my dog's hair just the cutest and she was very reasonably priced compared to other grooming places. I will indeed continue to come here to support the local small business as she was very polite and friendly! read more

We visited this pet groomer business for a first time today, with our 2 beagle dogs. Service which was provided to our dogs, it above and beyond! Amber- business owner and groomer, she is very knowledgeable, very nice and provides amazing service. Thanks to people, who recommended Amber to us, we are just amazed with very high quality service she provides and our dogs are happy, not nervous and not stressed at all. I wish we knew about Amber- DYNAMITE PETS, long time ago. We use to go to Petsmart for grooming and every time we were stressed, because our dogs were stressed, terrified and in pain from badly delivered grooming. read more

I heard good things about this place and the staff only to be immensely disappointed. I paid for a puppy grooming appointment (which was more expensive than the normal fee) and waited 2 hours to get a call saying that they just "gave up". Obviously the haircut looked terrible, but then they went on to say that they won't cut my puppy's hair in the future. While this would've been fine on its own, they just tried to put blame on my dog and me. This really goes to show how little they care about transparency and customer service. At least try to make an effort to make amends with your customers instead of just putting the bare minimum. Ridiculous. If you care about your pets, don't take them here read more

Amber is wonderful. She knows so much about the animals she grooms and their medical and dietary needs. She is very patient and friendly. Our dogs seem to really like her. We enjoy going there for grooming and specialty food. Hoping her business will do well during this difficult time with COVID. read more

Brought my puppy here and the lady gave up because my 3 pound dog "tried to bite her". That's because she cut my dogs whiskers. His whiskers are not super short and sharp. My dog cried for hours. read more

Dynamite Pets provides quality products and quality service. I'd describe it almost as a doggie boutique. The location of the store makes it ideal for taking your dog for walks on nearby trails. Amber, the owner, is knowledgeable about the products she sells, foods, treats, toys, etc. She takes pride in what Dynamite Pets has to offer. We've been very happy with the recommendations for food and treats. More importantly, our pooch has been happy with them. In addition to products, grooming services including nail clipping and baths are also available. Amber is very patient with dogs that may not be so amenable to grooming. She's also very nice to both the pets receiving her services and their owners. I really like Dynamite Pets, Amber, and her kitty who is sometimes in the store. I especially like supporting a small business in my hometown. read more

I live in the neighborhood and I absolutely love stopping by while I'm out for a walk with my dogs. The owner is an all around animal lover and is absolutely wonderful to be around. She's very knowledgable on the products and gives great advice if you're lost on what to get your best bud. They carry lots of boutique brands that you can't find in normal pet stores and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the products. The treat table is my dog's favorite and they love the samples! read more

I use this shop for nail trimming and the owner is always so pleasant and patient with my big guy (75lbs), who is not a fan of getting his nails trimmed. She has numerous natural pet products and a bath/grooming service for smaller dogs. I used to go to PetSmart, but the workers are just not consistent. I am confident when I come here that my pup will be well taken care of. read more

Amber is so patient with my rescue dog and she is always very flexible and can fit us in last minute. She's great!

I am so pleased with our first grooming visit. For the last five years or so, I have driven three cities away just to have our dogs groomed. I am thrilled to have found such a great groomer and pet shop a few blocks from home. The cost for grooming is very fair and the pet food selections are very high quality. What a nice find here in our little town. Thank you Amber! read more

My cat was severely matted and I needed to get her groomed right away. Amber was booked but had a cancellation 2 days later. I took her in and Amber was worried because her fur was so close to her skin. But with skill, the job was done in 45 minutes. I was pleased with the cost and trust Amber with my cat during such a difficult job. read more

No variety here. There's just hardly anything, its a little store in an expensive neighborhood, and the only reason I can imagine someone coming here is because they need a small emergency bag of food and can't run to a real pet store right away. Apparently the owner is nice. read more

Amber, the owner of Dynamite Pets, is patient and kind to my cats. I've brought them for grooming and she did a great job. She is very talented and her cost is reasonable. Besides grooming both dogs and cats, she also sells pet food, treats, and toys. read more

Love, love, LOVE Dynamite Pets! My dogs can tell when we're getting close and get all excited when we're parking the same way they do when we go to the dog park. They adore Amber, they always get so much attention and treats when we stop by to pick up food, treats or toys. Amber has a great selection of high quality food for both cats and dogs and is very knowledgeable about the products she carries. I trust her recommendations on food and treats for my dogs, especially when it comes to my little shih tzu mix that has tons of allergies. Amber will also special order products for you if there's anything you need that she doesn't carry - just ask her for more info about it. Definitely our favorite pet supply store! read more

Let's talk about superb customer service! I just moved to the area with my pup Lucy, and needed to get her a quick bath. This place is independent and local, so even better! I was able to call and come in the same day! She helped me find the right shampoo to use for her sensitive skin and also helped me with some other issues like barking from my dogs moving anxiety and her sensitive ears. She used to work in pet rescue so I know I can trust her advice. I'm really glad to have found this place so close to my home where I can buy HEALTHY food, treats, and even toys! Thanks Amber! read more

Dynamite Pets - Kitty I adopted over the weekend - Pet Stores Near Me - Hercules, California

This little pet store is absolutely the best dog & cat food supplier I have ever come across. Amber has worked for various large and small pet stores and her take on your pets health is dead on. You probably won't find the brands Dynamite pets carries anywhere else. She knows what dogs need in their diet, what's best for them and it's not sugar and salt. Sometimes as I open a can I actually think I could have it for dinner! The cost is comparable or less then premium dog food at the big pet stores. Amber deals with small producers so I order a flat at a time. My experience has been that she sells out quickly because she's a small store and so I order to try to avoid not having her dog food on my shelf. My dog, Rudy is a miniature poodle. Poodles have a propensity for digestive problems, or so I've read. When I take Rudy to his vet for booster shots, Dr. Han tells me how healthy and happy he is growing up to be. I believe Amber and Dynamite Pets keep Rudy in great shape. If you love your pet try Dynamite Pets. You and your pet won't be disappointed. read more

Take my senior dogs here for nail trimming as I love to support local businesses. Always a happy customer and great customer service.

I was very excited to find this lovely little pet supply store - both because they have a great variety of treats that my dog loves and they're close to home. Plus, the owner (Amber) has a ton of great knowledge on nutrition. They have both dog and cat products, and you can tell that all the products are chosen carefully for quality. I always love a good excuse to shop small! read more
