Emily has been walking my dog Lily for a few months now. She's always on time & very pleasant. She also wipes Lily's paws & bum when our walk is over (with wipes we provide). Emily is also very flexible with our schedule & I trust her with our elderly pup. I'm so glad we found Emily! read more

We had such a great experience with Happy Dogs! Our Mochi stayed for 5 days, and they took amazing care of him. We could tell he was loved and well taken care of. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in good hands. Highly recommend Happy Dogs! read more

We originally found Emily when my work converted to a hybrid schedule and we needed someone to come a few times during those days to let our puppy Mango out of her crate to get some play time, potty, and get fed. Mango seemed very comfortable around Emily, and she even sent us a picture while she was over watching her. We also discovered that Emily does daycare during our conversations with her, and have since tried that route once. It has worked out well knowing that Mango has someone to keep an eye on her throughout the day while we're gone, and not just barking up a storm while locked in her crate all day. Emily communicates primarily through text, which has worked out well for us in coordinating logistics and communicating schedule and updates. read more

Emily was amazing! She was very friendly and easy to get along with. She is also flexible when it comes to scheduling drop off and pick up times. She was very thorough with her instructions and reminders. She gave us pictures of Twix (our dog) while we were on travel and that was very comforting to know that Twix settled and ate well and that he too was also enjoying his time. I will work with Emily again whenever I need a dog sitter. Great job, Emily, and thank you! read more

Happi Dogs was a godsend for me when I needed a dog walker on short notice. Emily was extremely responsive, reliable and flexible. My dog took to her right away and I felt confident he was in good hands with her. Wholeheartedly recommend. read more

Emily is the utmost professional when it comes to dog walking and pet care. I had a hard time finding someone reliable and then my husband showed me Happi Dogs. I filled out a form online and Emily responded within a couple of hours and sent some forms. I was impressed by her quick response and how thorough she was. We met a few days later for a meet and greet and my dogs loved her. I have 2 large German Shepherds, each over 100 pounds. We started a weekly walk and it has been my saving grace on hectic days. Emily always lets me know when she's on her way, she's punctual, and she gives them the maximum amount of time outside. My dogs go nuts when she comes over and they are so mellow after. We are so relieved to have found Emily. She runs her operation with such organization and reliability and a great attitude. read more

So grateful to have found Happi Dogs! We have a very anxious pup who doesn't warm up to people easily. She barked at Emily for quite a while during our initial visit. But Emily won her over with her patience and calm demeanor. Celli just spent 5 nights with Emily and when we dropped her off it was obvious how happy she was to see her:) Emily provides updates throughout and accommodates any special needs like medication, etc. Highly recommend if you're looking for local doggie care! read more

Happi Dogs has been a wonderful dog walker for my two little pups. Emily has such an amazing way with them. My girls are both shy anxious rescues, but they were immediately comfortable with Emily. They are always happy to see her. It is comforting to know that they are in such good hands while I'm at work. Emily is very professional and great to work with all around. She is incredibly reliable and trustworthy. I've been very happy with Happi Dog's service and would highly recommend Emily for walks or overnight boarding. read more

I am so happy I found Happi Dogs! I was going on a 2-week trip, and I couldn't bear to board my pup at the larger facilities where, while he was cared for, he had seemed lonely. I thought my pup would be happier in a home environment. Emily and I communicated via email and her website. She asked thorough questions to make sure that my pup would be a good fit, and we set up a meet-and-greet session in my backyard. It was love at first sight for my pup; he was completely smitten with Emily. We decided to do a trial boarding to see how my pup would get along with her dog at home. My pup was a stray dog, and doesn't get along with every dog. I adopted him not too long ago, and I'm nervous when we see other dogs, not knowing how he would react. I believe that Emily's calm energy and her experience put my pup at ease, and he did really well and got along with the residence dog. He had such a good time that he didn't really want to leave Camp Emily! When I dropped him off for the 2-week stay, he was happy to see Emily and didn't even look back at me. I knew I could travel without worrying about my pup. I got several updates and photos during my trip, and I was pleased that he was happy and behaving. I also think that his personality came out more after boarding with Emily, and spending some time with her pack. Emily clearly loves and adores animals, and cares about their well-being. I feel fortunate to have found Emily and Happi Dogs. read more

Happi Dogs is the best! Emily took excellent care of my dog for the three days I was away. She had excellent communication with me, letting me know my dog, Bunny, ate her meals (which had to be specially prepared) and pooped regularly. I also got photos of Bunny on her walks. I wouldn't entrust anyone but Happi Dog with my pup's care! read more

Emily provides pick up and drop off. And she's a natural with dogs highly recommend for people who are in Berkeley.

I boarded my small dog with Emily for several days while I went out of state to visit family. She and I had good communication over email/text to start, then we arranged for Emily to meet my dog before finalizing the plan to board him. I was a little apprehensive whether someone other than me could deal with my elderly Maltese but she put immediately put me at ease. She's no stranger to my dog's breed or his health issues and meds and I felt confident that he would be cared for. When I picked him up, he was happy and clean. I have no qualms now about boarding my baby with Emily for my next out-of-town trip. read more

Emily at Happi Dogs was immediately the light of our life! As soon as my dog, Cookie, met her, she was in love! Emily knew it was hard for me to leave Cookie at home, so she sent pics and texts every day. Her care and attention to cookie make all the difference when I'm away at work or on vacation. Knowing my dog is in good hands is priceless!! She's always willing to be flexible and collaborative. read more

I'm SO happy that I found Emily on Yelp. My fur baby, Sunny, is excited to see her and his little doggy friends when I drop him off for boarding. She's also a dog walker so he gets lots of exercise while in her care. She sends pictures and videos so we can see what a time he's having. It's super heartwarming to know that my fur bestie is in good hands! Another wonderful quality about Emily's service is that it's at her home and only a small group of dogs at a time. Thank you Emily :) read more

We love Emily, but most importantly, Phoebe loves her. Phoebe is our 24-lb rescue mutt, who is generally sweet tempered, but sometimes anxious. If a stranger pets her in the wrong place, she can react with a snap and a snarl (before looking really embarrassed). From the first meeting, Emily's calm and comforting approach put Phoebe at ease quicker than anyone else I've seen, and Emily's experience shone through when Phoebe gave her one of her warning snarls, it didn't faze her one bit. A few treats later and Phoebe was won over. We have no hesitation leaving Phoebe with Emily for a mini staycation or doggy daysitting when we need it, confident that she is in wonderful care with Emily. She takes such great care of her, goes on lovely walks, sends the sweetest pics and updates, and is always so kind and interested in Phoebe's wellbeing. read more

My pup Shuggie is so happy that we found Emily to take good care of her when we are out of town. We needed a dog sitter at the last minute and not knowing anyone to provide this service, in Richmond, I resorted to Yelp. Emily has so many positive reviews, I reached out to her. Her communication is through texting and she is very responsive. Upon leaving Lucy with her, I received a text with photos and how she was received well, by the other dogs. within 5 min. It gave me peace of mind, to enjoy our festivities for the afternoon. When we picked her up, she was fine and not stressed. Thank you again, Emily! read more

After a few years of boarding our Chocolate Lab and Pug together at a local Richmond veterinarian, they discontinued boarding with no explanation. This left us in a bit of a pinch as we needed someone to be available for boarding our dogs together and giving them enough attention that they would not come back home traumatized. After a search here on Yelp, I found Emily and based on her initial reviews, decided to give her a chance. From the beginning, Emily was very engaged with interest. She was very communicative about what she offered, prices, and parameters of being able to take in our dogs while we were out of town. In advance of boarding our dogs with Emily, she requested a meet-and-greet of us and the dogs at our house, a free consultation, whereas she could get a good feeling for the personalities of the animals in their own environment and also to know us better. I found this to be of good significance so she knew what she was getting herself into, so to speak. After our meet-and-greet, Emily had requested us bring the dogs for an overnight at her home, at boarding rates, and the next day we discussed the outcome of how they settled in. We have since boarded our dogs with Emily on 2 occasions of approximately 1.5 week timespans and will do so ahead in the future. The simple fact that the dogs are given lots of attention, not kept in cages in a noisy vet office and are allowed to be themselves and occasionally interact with others at her house is the main reason why they come home 'Happi' as the business name implies. I would highly recommend Emily over a corporate boarding chain or veterinary office or any other larger business simply for the quality of care, the frequent check-ins during our time away, and our dogs coming home stress-free and relaxed. Thanks Emily! Steve and Michelle read more

Emily and Manish are great! We were reluctant to use a service which we found online, but we hit the jackpot with them. We use them about 3 times a week and they are reliable, affordable and safe! Emily was super accommodating. My friend that was supposed to dog-sit from Saturday 8 AM until Sunday evening. On Friday at 4pm I texted my friend to confirm. I didn't get a response so I texted again at 7pm and called at 11pm, still no response. Not sure if my friend completely forgot or what, but I began to panic, afraid that I wouldn't find a replacement last minute. I called a bunch of places on Yelp, but everyone was either asleep/closed or it was too last minute. Emily was the only one that actually picked up at 11:30 PM, tried to understand my last minute situation, and was super helpful and accommodating. She agreed to take in my 15lb pomeranian/papillon mix early next morning. I also sent my proof of vaccinations late because my vet was closed and could not send it over until later on Saturday. Turned out that my friend "went to sleep early" and was still ok the next morning, but by then I had already committed to Emily who was much more reliable. read more

Emily was a lifesaver. Needed a dog sitter last minute for the weekend and luckily Emily was there to save the day! I contacted her and she wanted to come to my house to meet Nyla first before she agreed to take her in. She answered all questions and concerns I had. She also agreed to let me come to her house and bring Nyla to sniff out the place. Her house is very clean and dog friendly (dog bowls ready with clean water). I was still very hesitant to leave my baby with a stranger but Emily would send periodical updates with pictures. Nyla who is very skittish and distrustful of strangers, sat on her lap the first day! I was very surprised but very relieved. Emily has a very calm presence about her which helped with Nyla's anxiety and I'm very grateful for that. Next time I go out of town, I'd definitely call Emily again. Also, Emily mentioned she and her family hasn't gone on vacation in such a long time because she said too many people and too many dogs depend on her. Now that's customer service! read more

My partner & I just adopted our 10-pound terrier mix, Penny, from a rescue a few months ago and have not left her with others very much, mostly friends for a few hours, so we were pretty nervous about finding someone trustworthy for her first doggy sleepover. Fortunately I found Emily at Happi Dogs on Yelp! From the moment I contacted her she was super communicative, friendly, and professional. She came over for an initial meeting, and Penny immediately took to her and even jumped on her lap! Emily has a very mellow, sweet, and patient nature and I immediately knew Penny would be safe and happy with her. Emily also has two dogs of her own that are about the same size as Penny, and from the pics she sent they got along great, and probably distracted her from missing us so much. I feel so grateful to have found Happi Dogs and we will definitely be using Emily's services again! read more

Happi dogs...and cats too! I am so grateful that I found Emily: she took care of my 6 year old housecat for a week and I was delighted to come home to a calm, well-tended, and happy cat (as evidenced by the shiny fur!). Emily came every day to cuddle, play, and brush my cat and updated me regularly on my cat's well-being. Usually, when I come back from a long trip, my cat cries a lot to let me know she missed me. Under Emily's care, I came home to a relaxed, purring, and VERY content kitty. I highly recommend Emily's services and will definitely use Happi Dogs as my "go to" cat sitting service! read more

My boyfriend and I boarded our dog with Emily for about a week and we were very happy! Prior to boarding our dog with her for the first time, Emily came over to meet our dog and introduce herself. We'll definitely be working with her again :) read more

Emily was fabulous! I contacted her last minute because the boarding company we usually use was booked and she was super quick to respond. She told me she had space during the weekend and was able to schedule a visit at her house the same day so she could meet my dog. She is so professional and her love for animals shows. I can tell she has an all around kind heart. When I dropped my dog off he seemed hesitant that he was being left behind and wasn't coming with us, but Emily took him in and made him comfortable then sent me many updates and pictures to ease my worry. He seemed very happy to be there, especially in the pictures of him at the dog park :) I highly recommend Happi Dogs and we'll be using her in the future. read more
