I don't generally dine at bars (only because inebriated folks tend to make me nervous) but the reviews on the burgers were too good to pass up. Hubby & I sat at the bar near the door while the rest of the folks were around the corner so we were pretty much alone at our end. While the bartender gave us drinks pretty quickly, our food sat at the window for a few minutes as she made drinks for others. Thankfully the chef brought our burgers to us after announcing "food at the window" twice. And to be honest, it was worth the wait. I ordered the Bourbon Street Boomer with fries & hubby had The Penguin. Y'all, those burgers were phenomenal!! Cooked to order and superbly seasoned. I'm 61 & have had burgers all over the world and my burger was the best I've ever had. It was juicy & cheesy and whatever seasoning they used in the meat was delectable. Hubby devoured his entire burger but I could only eat about a 1/4th of mine. The fries were soooooo good too and they were still good hours later when I dined on my burger again. We couldn't find enough adjectives to get our praise across but we tipped our chef $20 just to show our appreciation. I only took one pic because I wanted to eat it, not photograph it. I would definitely recommend stopping in. And if dining in a bar isn't your thing, order take out. The burgers are too good to pass up. We will most assuredly be back for more burgers. And we live in Richlands! Thanks for a delightful meal.

We started with the grouper bites appetizer which came with a tartar sauce that was very similar to 1000 island. It was delicious, maybe my favorite part of the meal and took me by surprise. This place raised the standard for me of truly delicious food. We took home the piná colada cheesecake and the pecan praline cheesecake, both of which were awesome. I could not recommend this restaurant enough. We raved about it for hours after leaving and my mother even went back two days later for a Cuban!

When my daughter asked if they have strawberry lemonade, the waitress hooked her up with strawberry syrup with a smile. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and we were seated much faster than we expected. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere is hard to beat, especially with the beautiful waterfront views and the live music on the pier, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was the seagulls, which can get pretty aggressive once people finish eating. That's obviously not something the owners can control, and it certainly wouldn't keep us from coming back. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend Shipwrecks to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a fun coastal atmosphere.
