There was no one else there, but the bartender happily hopped up to get us some drinks. They had a bunch of liquor and canned beverages. Nothing on tap (I don't think they even had a soda gun.) My husband and our friend got a beer and I got a cider. Everything was wide open with plenty of outdoor activities like volley ball, corn hole, connect four, etc. Plenty of outdoor seating. And it looks like they encourage you do write all over everything. It was a beautiful day and the vibe hear was very chill and awesome. I was a little disappointed that this wasn't on the beach. Not even a beach view. We don't go to the North side of the island very much, but I would come here again if I was in the area.

Good selection of beers and I'm pretty sure they had liquors. We're staying nearer by next time to take advantage of this great spot. She Said: We don't stay at this end of the island very often, but we'll need to remedy that going forward because Tiki Bar is a Topsail treasure. Now that I've found it, it'll be impossible to stay away when we visit family here! Potty Points: 3/5 - functional and clean for what it is. You're not here for luxury potties.

The only weakness we saw was our waitress was borderline surly. But we might have caught her on a bad night or the automatic 20% tip plus a 3.9% extra charge (we had a party of 6) guaranteed her a healthy tip regardless. The restaurant is small, so l would recommend securing a reservation!

The place is small but clean. Had a good vibe and was very quiet. Just the way we like it. Easy to read menu. The food was excellent. Mike our server was great. We had the Calamari Fritti. It was very light and crispy. The Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy Burger and Steamed Trio were Awesome. They ran out of Clams for the Trio but added extra Shrimp to accommodate. (Check out my photos) We also tried the Prime Cheese Burger and I have to say that was a Dam good burger. I was very surprised because a good burger is hard to find especially at a place that primarily has sea food on menu. For wine I had a glass of 1924 Double Black Cabernet. So good!!!!!Everything was great will come again when I'm back in town. Note: they do charge a service fee of 3.9% but waive it if you pay cash.

It's a fun little spot with indoor and outdoor seating right off the beach if that's the atmosphere you're looking for. The place itself has a great laid-back beach-bar vibe however the attitude behind the bar just didn't quite match it. The 3 star rating is primarily based on that fact. We took a weekday trip to the beach at the end of July and were pleasantly surprised to find Tacklebox Tavern open late on a Sunday night and it was karaoke night too! The bar was fairly busy for a Sunday, with a fun mix of locals and travelers and an age range that seemed to go from early 20s all the way into the 60s. The crowd was friendly, the drinks were cheap, and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed for a fun Sunday night at the beach! My biggest complaint was the service. The bartenders consistently seemed annoyed and irritated, and at times it felt like simply ordering a drink was an inconvenience to them. I completely understand that working behind a busy bar can be hectic, but the attitude was noticeable enough that it took away from an otherwise really enjoyable experience and was mentioned by multiple patrons. A little more friendliness behind the bar would have made this place a home run for us.
