Went there last Saturday to watch some football and have a burger and some beers. BEST burger I've had in 10+ years. Went again to see if it was just luck, ordered the same thing and BAM! Yes it's T one of the closest to where I live except for a micro brewery and a Mexican restaurant, was going to to eat there this afternoon but they had music bingo and no parking spot so went home and made my own. Great local spot in Newport. The ambiance is that of a small town sports bar. Pool tables, bar, stage for live music, and plenty of events. Our food was absolutely delicious. They season they're food so well even my veggies were enjoyable. I instantly knew the owner had to be familiar with Maryland crab cakes because they were so on point. No stuffing - all crab!! Our servers are always very respectful, tentative, and knowledgeable about the menu items too. One of our go to spots we keep in our rotation of trusted establishments. read more

Stopped in for lunch as we were headed to Beaufort from Raleigh. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Decent beer list. We got the grouper bites and a fried shrimp basket. The grouper bites were generous, fried maybe a tad too done for the thinness of the fish used. The remoulade sauce with the grouper was really good. The shrimp were excellent as well as the fries. Boy, is this a diamond in the middle of nowhere! While traveling, stumbled across this restaurant, and had some amazing food. The waitress was friendly and kept drinks full, and if I had the opportunity to try it at night, the pool tables, dart boards, and games would've been a really fun evening. read more

We had a great time, our server was top-notch and very knowledgeable about the menu. They had live music, normally a turn off for us as most places turn the volume up so loud you can't think or communicate with the staff, not here. Staff asked multiple times if the music was too loud. We will be making the trip out to eat there again. read more

Came in for the first time tonight. Sitting atbrh bar we commented that "we might have found our new favorite local place"... Well we thought that until they started doing karaoke. The food was great, took a little longer than expected but tasted great so we didn't mind. Bartenders were wonderful and attentive throughout. We moved off the bar to play darts and that's when we realized that they were starting to host karaoke... And yeah... We didn't hear anything recorded within the last 20 years.... We love country music but karaoke isn't the place for individuals that think they are worth a music contract should be featured. In the last 4 hours that we were present at this bar we heard the same 3 people sing countless country songs from 20+ years ago. It would have been better to just listen to the jukebox that people pay for all night. It was our first night in and I don't know if we will be back, if we do it will be on a night that they don't feature karaoke. We aren't a record label or interested in hearing the same people sing time and time again over the course of hours in a night. read more

Let me preface this, if you're looking for cheap drinks this is the place to go. If you're looking for a respectful wait staff, look elsewhere. It's your run-of-the-mill dive bar that has the staff to match. With the constant displays of PDA you'd think that the bartender would be friendlier. Instead, after I asked if they had Apple Pay, they asked me what the f*** I was doing and made me feel as if I was in wrong after calling prior to confirm. Hopefully her power trip made her night, but personally I would consider this unprofessional. If you're looking for better places with the same ambiance I'd go to Ioanni's in Morehead City where I've never had a problem and pay the same price. read more

Found this place when we moved here last year One of the only spots in the area with the nfl ticket on sundays. plenty of TV's to see any game from any seat in the place great drink specials everyday and their food is top notch. the wings are on point and the chicken quesadilla is really good. their burgers look good even though I haven't had one yet. the food is always served hot and all the bartenders have been super nice. BEST FOOD AROUND. Every single thing on their menu slaps and their prices are decent too. The portions are big and you can tell the cooks put effort into every plate they send out. Service is usually good. Depends on the night on how long you wait for food. It can be 10 minutes or an hr. I usually ask as soon as I get to the bar. Food is reasonably priced and is good. Tacos for $1 on Tuesday and $2 brats on Wednesday. Staff was short handed the other night. Would recommend this place if you need to get a drink and don't feel like going to Morehead. read more

Came in today for the first time after our kids' lacrosse games. The place doesn't look like much but don't be fooled, the food is amazing! Hubby got the buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic--juicy and flavorful. I had the shrimp tacos that could have come from any trendy restaurant. The wasabi slaw is inspired! My kids got wings, a cheesesteak sandwich, and the soft pretzel app. Not a complaint was heard and not a bite was left. Hallelujah! But the best by far was the mac-n-cheese. Heaven in a dish. Went to grab a quick bite with my family this evening! It was not bad, but not the best either. We had kids hot dog, Philly cheese, and wings. It took a long time to get our food which came out incorrect. They did eventually bring out the other 6 wings and blue cheese but it took roughly 25 minutes. The prices of food were good, beer selection was disappointing considering down the road is a local brewery that they serve ZERO beers from. Went there a while ago n the food n service was great!! But went to go last weekend n it was closed !! But still want to go back when it reopens !!
