This salon ruined my hair. I used to model with my hair until these people damaged and mangled it beyond repair. I came in with a blonde balayage, and I wanted a big change to a silver/lavender color. I talked to them on the phone about what I wanted and planned it out several weeks in advance- they said it wouldn't be a problem and that we could finish the whole process in a day (I scheduled for five hours, which was supposed to be more than enough time) with Dylan. So, I came in on my birthday, all excited to get my hair done. All was going as planned and I was waiting for my hair to process, etc, but then about 2+ hours later I was still sitting over in a corner under the heat dryer. Eventually she came back and got me, (she had booked other clients during my appointment?) and we rinsed out my hair. That's when things went down hill. Fast. She started to look nervous and said it was "a little different than what we planned" or something like that. So- she had a technician blow dry my hair and it was horrifying. My hair was flesh-pink colored with huge spots of brassy yellow, and crispy. My roots were essentially a neon orange. I started to panic, and they knew I was really freaking out. Mind you, I had been in the salon 9 hours without food and I was exausted to say the least. The technician was really nice, she tried to tell me my hair looked kind of cool and that they could fix it. I'm not gonna lie here, I was bawling my eyes out. A man (the manager I think?) came and talked to me, he was really helpful and understanding. He scheduled a complimentary appointment for me (although I did have to pay for the first one, which was uncool to say the least), although I did have to wait a few weeks. So- I was hoping it would get better. And it sort of did. But barely. I couldn't tell you the woman's name who did my hair the second time, but I think she did the best with what she had to work with. My hair was pretty much ruined already- there wasn't much she could do. But she toned the yellow out a little. After that the staff weren't really willing to help me. I think they realized my hair was beyond saving. They didn't offer another appointment. I did go in a couple times after trying to fix my hair myself to pick up supplies- and they gave me free toners a couple times. They seem like very kind people and I'm sure they have good intentions, but good intentions doesn't mean good hair apparently. Anyways- over 8 months later and $2,000+ into trying to resurrect my hair (I wish I was exaggerating), It's still not what I want because of how badly Dylan messed it up that first time. I can definitely say I will never foot in that salon again. My experience at Vain was bad enough to the point where I made this account specifically to talk about what happened and hopefully help some people not get their hair mutilated like I did. I strongly advocate against choosing this salon (specifically Dylan). I considered not writing this review because of how nice the manager was after the whole incident, but that doesn't fix my hair, now does it? So, do what you will with this information. read more
