The food was very good. Service here was alright staff were a little slow with requests. The ambiance of the restaraugnt is very classy with dim light there's lots of areas to take pictures. The food here was good and hot the tramisu was a nice dessert very balanced not overly coffe flavored and very light. The pizza bruschetta was a nice appetizer to share, the butatta was fresh and very nice good light appetizer to start. Pasta was good the sauce was very creamy it reheated well the next day also

Best risotto I have had in my life. Service, ambience, food, everything. The perfect bite. The best restaurant we have been to during our 3 day visit.

We had made a reservation for 6 outside & it was so hot. They were very accommodating & were able to put us inside. You have the option of still, bottled or sparkling water. We went with bottled & sparkling which were brought out nice & cold. Service was excellent. Portions are huge including the appetizers. I had the burrata with the balsamic drizzle for dinner & it was fresh & delicious. Just wish it came with more bread as there wasn't enough for all the cheese. They do not have a kids menu & do not do half portions of pasta. They charged $20!!! For penne with butter. That is insane & not worth it at all. Tiramisu is homemade & huge portion. Only birthday thing they do is bring a dessert if you order one with a sparkler. You pay for your dessert. All & all our food was hot & delicious but came out at different times & the $20 penne with butter was crazy. Portions are large & service is good. Would definitely go back but not with a kid.

I will dream about this meal for the rest of my life. Absolutely AMAZING experience. Service was out of this world. Food was immaculate. Ambiance is sexy and sophisticated - great for a date night. We came on a Saturday at dinner time and DID have a reservation so we were seated right away. We started with some wine/cocktails. My wine was a little warmer than I preferred for a pino Grigio but besides that it tasted good. We ordered two meals: the filet mignon and I got the grilled chicken entree and upgraded to a side of homemade fettucine. Let me just say if you are debating on what pasta dish to get... GET THE FETTUCCINE... you won't regret it. I am Italian so finding authentic Alfredo sauce is hard to find. This one exceeded my expectations. I couldn't put my fork down. The grilled chicken was moist and tender and packed with "grill" flavor and herbs. Delicious compliment to the pasta. My husband cleared his plate with the filet meal. He said the steak was tender and not frozen tasting and the sides were delicious. We did not have room for dessert but I did get an espresso martini to end the night and it was perfection. Not too sweet, the right temperature and had a good espresso taste. We will come back here every time we visit Toronto!

I had a fantastic time at Vagabond Restobar for dinner last night. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Definitely one of the better Italian restaurants in the city. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality meal in a cozy setting! My group had the burrata, whole branzino, vitello al taglio francese (veal), and pappardelle gusto pasta.

If you're looking for a nice quiet dinner spot to chat. This is not the space to do that on a Saturday night. They have a live DJ in the bar area. This is definitely a place for those of a younger crowd or a party crowd. I did see a family outside on the patio where the music wasn't so loud. But it definitely looked windy out there. Our waiter was amazing! Great service. I loved the white sauce served with the Calamari we ordered. The food was good, not jaw-dropping. Overall it's worth a try if you are single and ready to mingle or looking for a good place to get drinks and snacks.

A very trendy Italian restaurant with friendly service and good food; what more can you ask for? I ordered the Caesar salad, the capellini pasta and the lychee martini! Loved everything - especially the spicy sauce they serve with the bread. Prices are a little steeper than other places, but it's worth it for the location and the quality of the food and service. I would return!

I didn't get a picture of the Cesar salad or the Polpetti sliders but the bears that they severe was very goo along with meatball sliders. The Caesar salad was good but in the states you get a creamy dressing and I've noticed in Canada they serve an oil base which is just okay but it makes the salad tasteless Service was great, our waiter provided some tips and was prompt. The main course was excellent. My wife enjoyed the lasagna and I had the seafood pasta. Good portions which lead to a food comma at the end of dinner hooch we didn't have room for dessert. The walk back to the hotel helped digest the food. Only complaint I have is that my dish had crab legs and the issue was that I had nothing to get the meat out. I used my fork which isn't the corrected way but I was able to get the crab meat.

Walked by a few times and finally decided to dine in. The vibe was great, the mood lighting, the music and seating arrangement made for a really nice ambiance. We all tried different variations of pasta and lasagna. Everything was absolutely delicious. It came out fresh and full of flavour. We were all so pleasantly satisfied. They even brought out a piece of cake for my birthday. Service 10/10. Very attentive, not a long wait for the food.

For the first restaurant to go to in Toronto last Friday, I don't regret waltzing in Vagabondo! It was a such a delight, I loved the atmosphere and the live DJ there was on point with his choice of mix, and Gabriel who was the bartender did a splendid job making some suggestions! When he said the Tiramisu was a popular favorite, after seeing the size and how delicious it was I do not regret! The pasta entree was also delicious and the cocktail was also a delight for me! Honestly I hope to travel back and have the food there and hope Gabriel will be my bartender again! thank you again!

My colleagues rave about the coffee here but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to try it as I came here for dinner with a friend of mine. We had dinner on a Wednesday night and this restaurant was extremely empty. There wasn't any happy hour deals and the cocktail prices were priced a lot higher than most places. The Calamari appetizer was almost just as expensive as a main dish but all the dishes were huge portions. For the price to portions, it could have been portioned less and priced less as my friend and I only ate 1/5 of our pasta dish and brought the rest home. The service was good considering the restaurant was over staffed and we were the only people dining in our section. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very modern but for the overall rating of food and price, there are much better restaurants in the downtown core for Italian food for less.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Go here for the drinks, but maybe not for the dinner!

Our server was great at helping us pick our wine, he mentioned that their wines are all on the dry side which is perfect for me, I'm not one for sweet wines. We also had two of their small plates the mussels and the burrata. The mussels tasted great with the sauce, a little garlicky which I prefer. The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.
