Grainger Honda - dealer picture of 'clog'

I just experienced another great car purchase from Grainger Honda. Ronnie Moore who has been our…read moresalesperson for many years helped me select and locate a new 2023 Honda Odyssey Elite. The process was very easy and I received an excellent sales price and trade in amount for my old 2018 Honda Odyssey. I cannot say enough positive comments about Ronnie Moore and the Grainger Honda team that assisted me with this purchase. Even during these challenging times my wait for the new car was short and painless.

Avoid this service department…read more I own a 2015 Honda Pilot with approximately 106,000 miles. The vehicle had no check engine light, no loss of power, no exhaust symptoms, and was brought in for nothing more than a routine oil change. After the oil change, I was told that my entire exhaust system was clogged and was presented with a repair estimate exceeding $10,000. I was told the catalytic converters, A-pipe, mufflers, heat shields, gaskets, and related components needed replacement. I was even advised that I would be better off putting that money toward a new vehicle. This did not happen in a vacuum. Prior to this visit, the dealership had repeatedly attempted to buy my vehicle from me. Multiple times I received offers that were a fraction of what the vehicle was actually worth. Then, after bringing the vehicle in for a routine oil change, I was suddenly told it needed over $10,000 in repairs and that I should consider replacing it. When I asked for evidence, I was sent a blurry photo with a few specks of debris circled and was told that catalytic converter material was clogging the exhaust. For a repair recommendation of this magnitude, the evidence provided was astonishingly weak. Fortunately, I did not authorize the work. Instead, I took the Pilot to an independent mechanic for a second opinion. Their conclusion: nothing is wrong with the vehicle. No clogged exhaust. No failed exhaust system. No $10,000 repair bill. Think about that for a moment. A vehicle that was supposedly in need of more than ten thousand dollars of exhaust work was examined by an independent mechanic and found to have no such problem. This is also not my first serious issue with this dealership's service department. During a previous service visit, they returned my vehicle after forgetting to refill the transmission fluid. That kind of mistake can cause catastrophic damage and should never happen in a professional service environment. At this point I have completely lost confidence in anything this service department recommends. Being told that a perfectly functional vehicle needs repairs approaching five figures, while simultaneously being encouraged to replace or sell that vehicle, is not something any customer should have to deal with. If you receive a major repair recommendation from this dealership, get a second opinion before spending a single dollar.

I purchased my outback in October 2012 with Malcolm, he was personal, caring and I have received (and still receive) cards from him. Asking how my family is doing, my car, ect... In January 2013, with my one month old son, I was T-boned at 55mph. My son nor I was hurt, my outback was totaled :) I was Stuck out of town, I was able to locate another outback and once I was back in town was able to purchase.. Each staff member has been amazing!! :) NOW FOR THE TRUE REVIEW of the ONE person who has stood out: Mike Rouge was the sales person this round (Malcolm and Mike worked together) Mike was hands on every step of the way, my husband is deployed at this time and it was just my one month old son and myself trying to purchase a new car, return a rental and get paper work mailed overseas to my husband.. ect... A month after I had my outback I had an issue (fixable) but still an issue, I had no one to call, had no clue what to do, I called Mike. He drove to my house on his OFF day to help me figure everything out, get my little one in the house, stayed with my car until it was able to be towed and another vehicle for me to drive. My case was exhausting and difficult and every step of the way, he has helped, made sure I have understood everything and personally has went out of his way SEVERAL times. Never once letting on that I was probable driving him crazy..haha I cannot say enough about Subaru of Savannah each person has been hands on, even has helped me with my little one :) I have never dreaded going to their office. I can truly say if you want an amazing experience and honesty, SEE MIKE ROUGE

AutoNation Hyundai Savannah

AutoNation Hyundai Savannah

Mm... Where to begin? Today, was my first day having any interaction with AutoNation Hyundai. Boy,…read morewas it a crazy one! I hadn't dealt with Hyundai for some years now due to an incident that happened with the previous dealership. This Hyundai dealership, in the past 8 or less years has passed through three owners and new workers (or have changed their name three times--not sure). I purchased a brand new vehicle, as a birthday gift for me, in 2015 (Savannah Hyundai) and returned to purchase a second vehicle, a 16th birthday gift for my daughter and loyalty buy, in 2019 (Peacock Hyundai). Each time the experience was stressful and long (hours) dealing with underhanded salesman tactics. (This doesn't reflect on AutoNation, in my eyes, because today was my first time dealing with them.) That being said... I scheduled a recall servicing. The rep scheduled the appointment for 0710. I get there at 0700 just to sit because the place doesn't even open until 0730. Ok. I let the service rep know that Hyundai sent me a notice that I had more than just the anti-theft recall notice. The rep looked it up and stated that the system showed one thing on his end. I showed him the notice I had in my MyHyundai account dashboard. So, he did some looking and says that the recall Hyundai keeps notifying me of was filled in 2021. I explained that I hadn't been in to have anything done, since 2019/2020. He says, "It was done!" When I refuted he began to speak as though I was accusing him, personally, of doing something wrong. SmH I explained everything that I had gone through with the previous Peacock and that it could have been entered accidentally or shadily. Had nothing to do with AutoNation! I said ok and that I'd contact Hyundai Corp Customer Service to try to get it straightened out. Done! My vehicles are done. (Both had recalls) I'm on the phone with Hyundai Corp as I'm leaving. There's a man standing out there with the dealership insignia shirt. He asked had I gotten everything taken care of. (I'm assuming he was the owner.) I stated barely and he asked the problem. I explain. After watching through the glass, out runs the Service rep. I pointed out to the man I believe to be the owner that the rep act as though I'm accusing him of doing something wrong. To which he apologized for him. (All the while, I'm still on a call with the Hyundai Corp Customer Service rep.) Over comes another guy... The owner (?) walks away and I'm talking to this new guy. So, the new guy pretty much parakeets everything that I've already heard. He says, " "Well, he can check the sensor to see if it has been changed." (Something about the parts not being the same.) Before I can answer, he says step into his office. Get inside the office to be accused of lying via amnesia(forgetfulness). He told me that people don't make mistakes, that everyone holds the same morals as him as to not do anything illegal, and that Hyundai is a multi-million dollar company that wouldn't do anything wrong. All the while, seeming to insinuate that I would. And I begged to differ! (Multi-million/billion dollar companies steal from people everyday. There are plenty civil lawsuits to prove it.) He starts to talk about the service inspection findings and I cut him off. I knew where he was going. He say, let him finish and I did. He proceeds then, again, to accuse me of trying to get over and get something for free. Well, duh! The recall... The recall I've received notices for and hadn't had completed. Not one time did I mention anything concerning the inspection findings. From the time I walked in the door, PRIOR to them finding ANYTHING wrong, it was and IS ONLY about the recalls. SmH ***Neither of these men were there to know what was done by others prior to them.*** But they spoke so boldly as though they were there holding the previous employees hand every second to see everything that went on. They definitely need to undergo training on how to deal with customers, issues, and to keep their personal feelings separate. System info can be wrong due to user error. Mistakes happen... People can even forget. (Though, I don't believe I'd forget something this serious when I didn't deal with Hyundai anymore.) Still, hypothetically, had that been a me error I would have loudly apologized for my error. But the accusations and insinuating... SmH Worse experience EVER... I was thinking about buying myself a Genesis, as a birthday gift this year, but that idea is TOTALLY OUT! I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai as long as I live. Between the experiences, this encounter, and Hyundai Corp using and selling/sharing customer data through LexisNexis. NEVER AGAIN! Just wanted to share this experience. I give them three stars because after all of this, I'm still neutral. A couple of employees doesn't reflect the business, as a whole, but definitely impacts whether a customer return.

Just terrible. We took our under warranty vehicle for a check engine light. They kept our car for a…read moreweek and did not fix the issue. Took the vehicle back 3 more times before they decided that the gas cap needed to be changed. Why did it take a master technician to figure out this was the cause of an evap leak? I had to beg and plead to get a rental car to get to/from work and kids to/from school. Initially I was told Hyundai would reimburse me for a private rental car, spent an hour on hold with corporate to be told this only applied to recall work. Additionally, we've been waiting for a back-ordered part to fix a national recall. It's now been 6+ months. They called me last month and setup an appointment to have it fixed...showed up and was told they did not have the part. So now I have to go out of my way to schedule another appointment in the future, all the while being told the recalled backseat seatbelts "should be safe" for my kids. I'm a very reasonable person, but this is no way to treat a customer. We will never be buying a Hyundai again, especially from this dealership.

Buying a car "ain't what it used to be."…read more At one time not too long ago you could read Consumer Reports, gain tips on how to negotiate with a dealer about their holdbacks and other mechanisms they have to protect their oft extraordinary profits, and garner yourself a better deal. Those days are gone - at least for now - in this Covid environment. The worldwide pandemic continues to contribute to the shortage of parts that impact every industry. The automobile industry is not exempt. As a result, dealers don't know until the last minute what models of vehicles they'll get in or what features each may or may not have on arrival. In this climate, there is little motivation to negotiate on their part, as their overall sales volume is down. This dealer puts a $2000 markup over the MSRP that's a one size fits all fee that covers all of the usual fees associated with the sale: document prep, transfer, delivery, etc. There's no negotiation. They don't have to negotiate with you. There will be people standing in line to buy the car you want in this Covid climate. We were fortunate to gain one of their top salesman -- Kenny HADEL in connection with a new car purchase. Ask for him. You'll be glad you did. Also, ask for Michelle in financing: she's terrific. Overall this is an excellent, ethical dealership with whom to do business.
