Monday - I called AGS and spoke to Cindy, arranging a Tuesday morning appointment. She was very friendly and courteous, despite being sick. Tuesday - Chris arrived and made quick work of the replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement had a manufacturing defect (laminate distortion) and a transportation defect (rub/scratch). He apologized and said he would come back the next day, as the fresh sealant had to cure before removal. Wednesday - Chris arrived and performed the replacement in 40-minutes. I'm sure his typical installation goes faster, but I distracted him with conversation. The windshield was defect-free and looked like a factory installation once completed...it's actually better than factory, since Chris uses a sufficient amount of premium versus OE sealant. Observed Areas of Improvement: Quality can be improved by thoroughly inspecting glass before attending an appointment. I suspect the extra visit could have been avoided had this occurred. Additionally, I would recommend the business wipe down the exterior glass with Rain-X or glass polishing cream. The new glass has no anti-adhesion properties, creating safety and distortion issues when wet. Final Thoughts: I am glad I selected Chris' company to perform my windshield replacement. He takes pride in his work and is communicative about the process. If you are looking for a window repair company you can trust to perform a quality job, I highly recommend Auto Glass Service. Excellent, courteous and prompt service all around. I called yesterday (4/18/17) to set up a windshield replacement and Cindy worked with my schedule to make sure the repair would be done within the timeframe I needed. This morning (4/19/17), Chris the technician called to confirm and let me know he was in route. He arrived, explained things to me that I was unaware of and completed the work within 90 minutes, probably less. Again, he went over what he did and explained what to expect and if we have any problems to call. Their work is also covered by a warranty. Chris was very friendly and pleasant to talk with. He shared that he has 21+ years of experience and used to manage a local auto glass shop that is now Safelite. I do not hesitate recommending this family-owned business.
