With tax and their 3% "surcharge" for credit card payments, the bill came out to over $440. That's crazy. When I asked why it was so high, they just said that they didn't know why the phone quote would have been so low, but the fee was going to be what the fee was going to be. Also, I just found out when I tried to use it today that my Lane Keeping camera isn't working. So not only did they NOT fix what was broken, they broke what was working. If you bring your car to this dealer for repairs, you're insane.

The car was towed to the dealership and we were told we would receive an update the next day about the diagnosis. No call that day. They weren't open the next day (Sunday). No call on Monday, so we called in for an update and were told that it was being diagnosed and would call before the end if the day. No call by end of day again. Lots of promises were made about them calling us and every time we had to call in after they failed to update us when they said. Finally we received a diagnosis that the coolant had been leaking for quite some time and we would need a radiator replacement. The tow truck driver looked in the radiator and felt the radiator hose and noticed that there was no coolant iwhen he picked the car up. He even commented "it should've never left the garage like this." We questioned how it wasn't noticed at the oil change when we dropped the car off and were told by one representative that coolant levels aren't checked during oil changes?!?! Even though the paperwork received has a place for checking coolant levels in the laundry list of items that are checked during oil changes. If they had checked the coolant level during our oil change it seems to me that they would've noticed the low level before we were stranded on the road. That area was given a red with notes that we need to do a brake service at the next visit due to mileage. Nothing was mentioned about the coolant level so I do believe they didn't check it. This seems like gross negligence. It's also piggy backed on the last time we brought our car in for an oil change and tire rotation they noticed a screw in one tire and said that the tires needed replaced. We get tires from a different establishment so I refused that suggestion. I paid the bill which included the tire rotation fee. When I asked the representative where the tire with the screw had been moved to she checked with the mechanics who said they hadn't rotated the tires! Since our tires wore out around 40k miles it makes me wonder if they actually never rotated the tires each time I brought the car in, despite me paying for the service?!?! I also wonder if the radiator replacement was prematurely necessary due to possible negligence as well. Do honda radiators typically fail at 50k miles out of the blue? We no longer trust the service at this honda dealership as a result and won't be returning.

OK, what a difference a new ownership makes. :)…read more My recent experience with the service department at the new ownership group at Southern Motor's Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep was truly incredible and mind blowing. I called and left a voice mail message to ask the price for an oil change for my Fiat 500X, I also left an online text on their website. I hadn't heard anything back for a day and a half, so I texted them once again. That night around 7 p.m., I received a call from the manager of the Service Dept., Scott. He apologized for no one getting back to me, and offered a free oil change and tire rotation to compensate me!!! Who does that?? Then, 15 min. later I received a call from Todd, the Service Bay manager, who I had worked with in that past. Not that he knew that at the time. He too wanted to apologize for no one getting back to me and when did I want to bring my car in for a free oil change? After I had the work done the next day, I received a call from Amber at Southern Motors to make sure everything was done to my liking!!!! Wow! Is all I can say. There guys are working hard to deliver a stellar customer experience. Thanks Gang!

The service team is always professional,, and easy to work with. Scheduling appointments is pretty straightforward, and they do a good job keeping you updated on what's going on with your vehicle. Definitely a reliable place to go if you want consistent and trustworthy service.

This was going to be my third vehicle purchase from them, so I came in expecting a straightforward process. Instead, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. The salesperson seemed unfamiliar with the vehicle's features and couldn't answer several basic questions. It also became clear the truck had previously been used as a loaner, which was not clearly disclosed upfront. When I returned to sign the paperwork, things got worse. I had texted the sales manager earlier that morning and he told me to come in and that he would personally review everything with me. When I arrived, he didn't remember me at all and I waited over 20 minutes before he briefly appeared and told me I would be sent to finance instead. While waiting for finance, I decided to go get my trade-in and leave because the process felt so chaotic. I then discovered my vehicle had already been stripped down, even though the deal wasn't finalized. I had to wait another 20 minutes just to get my license plate back. I was also told I was "lucky to get financing," which was surprising considering I was trading in a vehicle worth more than half the value of the new purchase and paying the rest in cash. After two prior purchases from this dealership, I expected far better treatment. Sadly, this experience was frustrating enough that I will likely take my business elsewhere in the future.

I attempted to take it in the next week for a warranty repair. The gentleman at the counter talked as though this was "Are you able to leave it with me? It's going to take at least 72 hours or more because they had a car ahead of you and the technician will need to diagnose the problem and recommend a repair". Fearing that I will be out of a car for a week, I chose to bring it back two weeks later. I returned two weeks later, on a off day, and they stated "oh no, we should have this done today". I handed over the keys and left. After lunch I got a text message saying I needed $1400 service on a car that I had only one month. I chose only to have the sensor replaced at $860. I asked why it wasn't covered under my bumper to bumper warranty. He stated that it was because "of impact or collision". The next week I took my car to Mavis in Savannah to get the "suggested", by auto nation, front end alignment. The technician took my car back and put it up on the rack to align. He then called me back to show me it was already aligned and didn't need the alignment. So, fast forward to today. We are on vacation on our way home. The car now has a low tire pressure warning on the tire that Auto Nation patched. I would advise you to avoid Auto Nation Hyundai at all cost.

Buying a car "ain't what it used to be."…read more At one time not too long ago you could read Consumer Reports, gain tips on how to negotiate with a dealer about their holdbacks and other mechanisms they have to protect their oft extraordinary profits, and garner yourself a better deal. Those days are gone - at least for now - in this Covid environment. The worldwide pandemic continues to contribute to the shortage of parts that impact every industry. The automobile industry is not exempt. As a result, dealers don't know until the last minute what models of vehicles they'll get in or what features each may or may not have on arrival. In this climate, there is little motivation to negotiate on their part, as their overall sales volume is down. This dealer puts a $2000 markup over the MSRP that's a one size fits all fee that covers all of the usual fees associated with the sale: document prep, transfer, delivery, etc. There's no negotiation. They don't have to negotiate with you. There will be people standing in line to buy the car you want in this Covid climate. We were fortunate to gain one of their top salesman -- Kenny HADEL in connection with a new car purchase. Ask for him. You'll be glad you did. Also, ask for Michelle in financing: she's terrific. Overall this is an excellent, ethical dealership with whom to do business.

When writing up the contract I was given a $1000 "discount"- what he didn't tell me was that was in place of a lower interest rate- which I had the choice of taking. The finance guy was sleezy in that when choosing the option packages that he stated would only add $21 to my payments. After checking the math the bottom line was over $5000 more-- not sure where his math skills came from. I should have walked away then but we got that straightened out but still more than $21 per payment. Somehow the salesman ended up filling out my evaluation of the dealership- I never saw that . The service Dept is a joke. I purchased the oil change package and tire package. My first oil change and service was done- within 10 mins of leaving my low tire pressure light came on -- all 4 tires low that weren't low before I took it in. I called and left 2 messages for the service manager-- never got a return call. I had a nail in a tire that I took it in to be repaired. At 10 am they said it would be about 2 hours before they knew if I'd need a new tire or if it could be fixed-- no call and no response to calls or texts to their service line you are given. Finally at about 4:30p -- 6 hours later- I was notified it was completed. I called the service manager twice that day as well with no response. For my second service I took it to Hilton Head Kia in Bluffton--- EXCELLENT 5- STAR service and friendly people--- I'll NEVER go back to Savannah KIA!!!!!!
