I was very pleased with the service provided by HH Honda and their team for my 2018 CRV. We came back from a vacation to find the car wouldn't start. I was able to jump start the battery and when the car started, all warning lights were going. Engine repair, brakes, etc. I figured it may be related to the battery which I believe was the original. I could change out the battery myself, but how would I reset the computer? Instead of doing it myself, I took the car to HH Honda who allowed us to come in on short notice. We pulled directly into their service bay where we were greeted and assured the car would be returned in excellent condition. They needed to replace the battery and the computer reset to eliminate the warnings. I felt the cost was very reasonable and the turnaround time was exceptional. Way to go HH Honda!! read more

My daughter purchased a used car form this location. She has a business in Charleson, SC. She went online and researched the vehicle and thought it was right for her business. She had spoken to the salesperson that reached out to her online. Because she has a business she asked them to email her the forms so that it could be less time away from her own business. I am her MOM and she asked me to drive her there which I did. It was all downhill from there. when she asked the salesperson about how long it would be his response was "Well people walk in and buy cars". Let me clarify that my daughter had the paperwork prepared and a check in hand and she never questioned the price of the vehicle. We drove from Charleston and got there right around 12 noon. She was waiting to see the finance manager (why I don't since they had all the information) my point being this sale was already done (check in hand) and should have been taken care of in minutes. Remember we drove an hour and a half to get there early enough for her to get back to her own business. My granddaughter and I went and got something to eat around 2 o' clock. My daughter had told us to go on home and she would drive the vehicle home. Being mom, I felt guilty leaving her there alone and decided to go back just in case she needed me. I got there at 2:45 and no one had helped her and she is still waiting. I did everything in my power to get her to leave and forget that vehicle, but she a whole lot nicer than I am. she said Mom ,I am going to give them until 3 o'clock. Arguing with her took another 5 minutes. We walked in at about 2.45 and finally the sales manager came out and talked with her and offered to deliver the car to her. She was agreeable whereas I would have taken the deal somewhere else. But like I said she is nicer and way more patient about being treated like her business and her was a Nunsense to your dealership. I am 75 years old and worked almost 60 years in customer service and I have never seen anybody treated with this much disregard. I promise you that I will do anything I can to make sure myself, my family or my friends never darken your doors again. I had been searching for a particular used truck with specific specifications and mileage limits, a virtual rifle shot in the dark. After several months I saw one at Hilton Head Honda that was a match, but a little outside of what I budgeted. I made the dreaded call and spoke to Tim. This is where reality diverged from my expectations. Tim was straightforward but polite. No manipulative language, no traps, no pushy "let me make a deal". I informed him I was three hours away and had questions and a couple of concerns. He addressed them directly, and even took pictures of the undercarriage and sent them to me, all on a Friday afternoon at closing. We talked price and he gave me something very close. While arranging my finances I did not contact him until the following Monday. We came to a tentative final agreement on the sale if it was still available 2 days later when I was able to make the trip. He maintained great communication, checking with the me the evening before and the morning of the trip, and came in on his off day to get me taken care of. We even asked them to put in up on the lift so I could check underneath, and then I sprung a possible trade-in at the last moment. Tim was patient and let us do our thing until we were satisfied. Once all that was done it was just a matter of getting the paperwork done. Was a rainy day, but they took the truck back inside to spiff it up, topped of the tank (38 gallons!) and shook hands and sent us on our way. Each for the three people we interacted with were professional, efficient and patient with a couple of old graybeards picking the vehicle apart (Tim, the Sales manager I think, and the finance guy-sorry I did not remember all the names). All in all I doubt I could have asked for a smoother and pleasant experience, and Tim was a pleasure to deal with as a human being, not just a sales guy. Much appreciated Tim. Rick O. read more

I've never had such a positive experience at a car dealership! From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, I knew I was in the right place. HH Honda had a beautiful and well kept curb appeal. My boyfriend and I were politely greeted by a few gentlemen at the door, and were taken care of immediately by Ben. I knew I wanted the HR-V and was originally looking to buy a new or used LX. I test drove a EX and fell in love with the safety features. Ben was patient with me as I was nervous about the price, and didn't think I would be able to lease due to mileage restrictions. He showed me all of my options and I signed a contract I was comfortable with. I came back to pick up the car the following day. Ben had everything ready for my arrival. Sitting in finance with Andy was quick and painless too. He offered 3 add on packages and I took 2 of them. He was NOT pushy with these at all, and they really were for my benefit. I got a 2023 Honda Ridgeline. The service was excellent Sales was transparent and for the first time at a dealership, the business manager was a wonderful person to deal with. My sales rep, Andy Farber went above and beyond and the whole establishment was very nice to do business with. The dealership is a very clean and nice atmosphere. Today I am so thankful for the great service at Hilton Head Honda. The service writer was amazing and all the customer service people were very professional. I was hit by a huge flying semi-truck retread. I had to wait in the 90+ weather 3 hours for a tow truck. When I arrived I didn't feel well and was tired. They had cold water and a lot of other snacks and drinks available. They quickly got me in although they were very busy. They took care of the problem and sent me happily on my way. Most experience ever. I found a car online. I called to inquire about the vehicle, and the online lady was and referred me to a sales associate. The associate called my phone, and their only concern was how I planned on paying for the vehicle. Once I arrived at the dealership, the associate was very rude and pushy, wasn't concerned about my needs, and acted like he had other things to do. I didn't buy the car that day but requested another salesman. I bought the car and noticed the outside driver side mirror was broken. The used car sales manager informed me they would replace the mirror for me and told me that the vehicle passed the multi point inspection. Almost a month later, I took the car to my local Honda dealership for an oil change, and they informed me that i have a leak coming from transmission. I called back to speak to the used car manager, and he told me not to worry about it. That is not a big deal they were just trying to upsales me. And that he was not going to put that kind of money into a used car. Now I have to come out of my pocket once again to get the leak fixed, which was found by another honda dealership who did the same multi point inspection. Sean wanted to use KBB as their basis for pricing but when it came time to discuss my trade which KBB listed as $3,100 Sean and his manager said "Our system does not give us a price. Extremely positive experience with the service department at Hilton Head Honda. We were here on vacation and our fairly new Odyssey decided to give us some transmission trouble. They were able to get us in within 24 hours and even provided a loaner car right away free of charge. They had it all fixed and ready to go within a few hours - covered under warranty. Sloppy management. Should have been a slam dunk sale. Knew the car I wanted, my current lease was over and was eligible for employee pricing. Great sales rep but the numbers she got from her manager were over $100 per month off. Came back with new pricing later but turned off by having to negotiate this much of a gap. I bought my car from here and had a great experience, however anytime I come for a service, I have to add at LEAST an hour onto the time they estimate. If I get an oil change that should take around 30 minutes. I'm waiting at least an hour and a half, every time. Sometimes over 2 hours! I've had my current car for over 3 years (any my previous Honda I had for about 4 years) and every time I make an appointment, I ask how long it will take. Every time I arrive, I ask how long it will take. Both answers are the same, but I am ALWAYS waiting an hour longer than I am told. If it's going to take an hour and a half, tell me an hour and a half. read more

Rude and obnoxious! My mother and I went to their lot to test drive some vehicles that we had been considering as a possibility for future purchases. I spotted a BMW X3 that I would have been willing to purchase that day if they could compete with some other sales I had seen for the same vehicle. Well, after discussing this with the salesman, she promptly came to us stating they have no haggle pricing and if we weren't there to buy today or were serious about purchasing in the near future, they did not want to allow us to test drive any vehicles to put "un-necessary" mileage on any of their vehicles. I have purchased many vehicles in the past and I have NEVER, I mean NEVER been treated so disgustingly! So, that being said, I purchased a brand new Audi at another dealership, and my mom will be purchasing in two months. Two sales were lost due to disrespect. This is unacceptable! read more

The front office folks are great. THEY do fine on routine items, and in dealing with customers. HOWEVER, they are really bad when it comes to diagnosis or fixing items. We brought our Accord in because there were problems getting into reverse. The bottom line is that they said that since the service person (who clearly want to go to lunch) didn't experience the problem, he didn't want to do any work. [the lady who we saw coming in had experienced the problem]. When we called back, no one would return out call. When we finally got eh manager, he ad rude and unhelpful. Now, we will need to go over a 1/2 hour further for service. But, it will be worth it. read more

He assured us everything would be just fine and directed us to their service department. Even though the department was closing, they were able to put us in a loaner. First thing the next morning Linal contacted us with the information regarding our Honda Odyssey. He kept us in the loop during the entire process. I flew down to this dealership from Columbus, Ohio to buy a truck from the manager Dave Penrod. When dave opened the hood of the vehicle, the underneath was so soaked with some sort of cleaning degreaser, he had to go inside to get towels to wipe the excess away. Bought this vehicle (as is), BUT I bought this vehicle (as is) on the word of the manager of Dave Penrod. After I drove the truck back home and parked it in my new drive way, the very next morning I had all kinds of liquids leaking out. The rear end was leaking, the transfer case was leaking along with the gear box, radiator and both cooler/transmission lines. Further checking the oil, the oil was not changed like Dave had said either. I have known Dave Penrod for over 15 years, I have recommended him for management positions back here in Ohio over time, my family has bought several vehicles from him at different locations. I also found out that he and his finance department shot-gunned my credit, I have received over seven (7) letters from 7 different financial institutions. I have in e-mails and texts correspondence with Dave that he said and I quote (my service department went through the entire vehicle, changed the oil and there were no problems) no leaks. Dave Penrod is nothing more than a lying used car salesman, he will tell you any thing to sell a vehicle. I would not recommend buying any vehicle from this dealership. This was the worst car buying experience ever..They kept me there for hours..while they destroyed my credit and told me I had only 1 car to trade in for mine..I want to warn you to stay away from them. They told the BBB that I had overnight to see if I liked the car..That was a out and out lie. We were on the way from Bluffton back home to Atlanta on December 27. Our "check air pressure" light came on. Given my husband had just filled all tires with air, this was concerning. We pulled into the Hilton Head Honda service drive right at 3pm. They figured out one tire had a small slit in it and a leak that would have certainly left us stranded if we had not stopped. They attempted a patch which did not work. They had our exact tire in stock so they got that put on. By just a few minutes after 4, we were back on the road!! This was great. Our car had an unexpected but minor problem on a long road trip. We got there, got right in, and waited maybe half an hour for them to fix it. I was really looking forward to getting established with their service dept however after the treatment I received today from someone named Chris I will never be back. I purchased a new Honda in Florida & wanted to become established w a quality service dept. Called this am & spoke to a very nice lady who said sure bring it on in we will be happy to service it, oil change etc, we will even shuttle you to your office while it's being done no appointment necessary. I took the car there & walked to the counter. Chris immediately looks at me & barks "do you have an appt". I explain no that I called earlier & was told no appt necessary as I would be leaving it & using the shuttle service. He rolls his eyes & grumbles that it will be an hour and a half and that he will have to find out where the shuttle is. The wait would have been absolutely no problem as I was planning to leave it but his attitude and disrespect showed me he clearly was not interested in our business. I would not recommend this place as they clearly do not want your business. They seemed very inconvenienced by me, and I left and will find a Honda dealership in Savannah who welcomes our business. read more

So I bought a used vehicle here expecting some flaws of course, but very upset with the way things have went 2 days after I got the car, huge knocking sound on right side driver wheel, air flow sensor was bad they cleared the engine light long enough to sell it, had to replace both rear wheel rotors breaks/abs sensor, and front will be soon, all 4 door lock actuators are bad and they quoted me 800+ just for the parts. Horrible service. Not knowledgeable employees. I came in with a small rear view mirror fix on my Honda Accord, and as soon as I pulled up to the service area, the lady directed me to the parts section because she didn't know what to do. Once I got up to the service area (parts), I was told I needed to go to to a windshield store to get my problem fixed (this had nothing to do with the windshield)! There was at least 4 employees standing around and couldn't answer a simple question. I went to the Advanced Autoparts in Okatie (next to Firestone tire) and had it fixed on the spot by a store employee! The cost was $10 for the adhesive and Honda had no one who wanted to do it. Took 15 minutes at the Advance Autoparts. Mad respect to the Advance Autoparts crew (Mike) and I hope someone talks to those lazy Honda employees and get their work load straight. Terrible that it's the only Honda around. Horrible! read more

If you are looking to buy a new Honda or a used car I would highly recommend them. I never felt pressured in anyway and they always took the time to answer my questions. Service Experience: I called service to make an appointment and spoke to Chris Wiszowaty. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Because of the nature of the problem (electrical), I asked Chris to please ensure the vehicle was looked at by someone with experience in solving these types of problems. The last thing I wanted was to start replacing parts to see if that would "fix" the problem. I arrived the following morning. Chris and I went through the issue. I was impressed with the notes he took and how well he listened. Long story short, I was introduced to Tom Heyward and over the course of the day, he was able to diagnose/repair the problem. What impressed me most was he had the patience to answer my numerous technical questions. Simply Outstanding! The most important part of this experience is that by the time it was over, I felt like I had made two new friends. I have owned numerous cars and been to many dealerships over the last 40 years.
