My car had several leaks coming from the coolant and radiator. The morning my car became an issue, I called RPM and they made an exception to run a diagnostic that same morning, even though they were all booked up. When I got there, they immediately began giving me estimates and were able to order parts and fix my car that same day! The front desk man could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I was sitting in the waiting area (which is huge and very comfortable) for over three hours waiting for my car. It happened to be down pouring the entire time I was there, and when it came time for the lunch break, I was invited to take a ride to get lunch. Beyond thoughtful and respectful, rather than leaving me to sit outside in the rain for an hour. Before today, I'd never been to a mechanic in Savannah, as I'm very new to the area and here for college. I've always been wary of going to any sort of mechanic alone, as I'm a young, uneducated (in cars) woman, with fears of being up charged and taken advantage of. All the staff sat down and explained the issues with my car and explained the prices (in very basic terms which I was thankful for). I know I was very well taken care of here, and wouldn't even consider going to a different mechanic. read more

I took my 2010 grand sport corvette in to have the transmission oil replaced and to have the car leveled since the front end was way too low and the car didn't even rest even on all fours. Original estimate was $450. Final estimate turned into $3400. It turned out I had a broken rear leaf spring. It took 2 months to get my car back. If you want a garage that rarely answers the phone or does not return phone calls, even before I ever brought my car in, than this would be the place to take your car. Grant it that it took 3 weeks for my part to get in, but they had no reason to work on my car for 5 weeks. I was berated by the owner for calling all the time and told, "it's not going to get the car fixed any quicker by constantly calling us. It turns out they only use cell phones to track your phone calls coming in and just ignore customers that have their cars in the shop. When I took my corvette into the show, they located a transmission oil leak in one of the lines close to the transmission intercooler. But the leak is so slow that it doesn't even drip from the car at all. So I will not worry about it until it actually starts to show some leakage on the garage floor. So I will not waste money on fixing this $800 repair. They also sent me an email to replace the front spring after they already took it apart and never fixed it. And they did not raise the front end enough and neither did they make it level like I asked for it. So they want me to fix things that don't need to be fixed, and they took 2 months to do a half ass job on what I already asked to be fixed. Never again will I take my car to those idiots I did not even respond to their email, they are not worth my time to even do that read more

I recently bought my car into RPM, after using them previously and as usual it went great. They always give me a fair estimate and never try to find a ton of unnecessary things I don't need repaired. They are always fast, honest and provide really great customer service! read more

I dropped my car off at 8am and it was ready right after lunch at 1:30pm. Location: It is located right off of 17 on Chatham Parkway going toward 16 on the right hand side. In between a KFC (CHICKEN!) and a Midwife Birth Center. There isn't much parking at all so you will end up having to park in the Birthing center lot (which I felt a little bad about, but I wasn't there long). Shop: The front Shop/office area was dimly light and clean and the A/C was a plus with the summer heat we have been having. There is a display of awards off to the side, with some comfy seating and restrooms toward the back. And windows along the back wall looking into the garage. Which was empty at the time other then a oldies car. Customer Service: I didn't have to wait more then 5 minutes before I was greeted by Rick who I could hear was on a phone call in the office. We exchanged greetings. He walked out with me to see my car and check my old tires to see if I needed to also have a alignment done. Which lucky for me I didn't need! He was super friendly and knowledgeable and at no point made me feel like he was pressuring me into getting more then I was comfortable with. I decided to use RPM because I had heard good reviews from previous clients and I wanted to know that I was leaving my car baby in good hands. I didn't need anything crazy done this visit. Just needed to have my old tires removed and the new ones added with a balancing. Overall: I'm very happy with the service I received and I will be using them again in the future even if it's just a oil change. read more

Very fast and high-quality service when my serpentine belt broke. I will go back to them and Savannah from now on. it was a bit expensive, but well worth it because they fixed it quickly and correctly. read more

Got quoted 4.5k for a repair I didn't need 2 weeks ago my car wouldn't go into 5th or 6th gear. The more I messed with it the weirder it got, and it became very inconsistent. I dropped it off at RPM Autoworx to get a quick answer to what the problem is, as I didn't have the time to do my own diagnosing. I gave them plenty of info to hopefully help rule things out. A couple days later I got quoted 4.5k for a whole new transmission. I was told "it must've totally blown up on the inside," even though when it was in gear it drove fine. I was very skeptical so this week I started doing more diagnosing. I messed with the linkages and after muscling it into gear enough times it goes into gear fine and drives like normal. I suspect the clutch is on its way out, but DEFINITELY not the transmission. I'm tempted to say they didn't even take much of a look because my mileage wasn't reset to take the battery out to get to the top of the transmission. The only reason this review gets one star is because I've gotten an alignment before and it went well, but this just puts a bad taste in my mouth. Stay away if you can, or at least get a second opinion. read more

They damaged my car and was very rude when I mention it. The manager Rick was loud and unprofessional.

I recently had another great experience at RPM Autoworx. On two separate occasions my car was making this very loud flapping sort of noise when starting up in the cold weather which lasted less than 5 minutes. I had searched online for possible reasons, which were numerous. So I called Greg at RPM who said to come by around closing time and leave the car with them overnight to see if it made that same noise so they could diagnose it. The next morning, they called me to let me know what they found, how much it would cost and when I could get the car back. By Monday afternoon, I got a call from Greg saying the car was fixed and ready to be picked up. I have to say, their customer service is excellent. They always answer the phone and are always able to get me in right away. No wait time when you bring the car in; they take you right away. They have a very spacious and comfortable waiting area with coffee and plenty of magazines to keep you busy while waiting, and even have a kids play area. One thing that really stood out was the immaculate ladies room. I've never seen a cleaner restroom anywhere! Greg and Rick are awesome. Don't hesitate to bring your car to RPM. You won't be disappointed. read more

My truck needed new brakes urgently. I was moving to Wisconsin; towing a huge trailer. RPM worked me in. Amazing professionals. Thanks for helping me out read more

RPM did an alignment for my car. Within 15 minutes, I had to take it immediately back in because it was pulling to the extreme right. They took it back in and "fixed" it. After the second go around, I noticed it seemed to be riding very rough but was at least not pulling any longing. On my first trip on the interstate my back tire went flat, but on the opposite side the tire was just as bad. These are the pictures the mechanics at the Lincoln dealership took for me when I had to buy 4 new tires. So if you need an alignment, might want to go somewhere else read more

My car was leaking coolant and was over heating. They found the issue, ordered parts, and had it back to me in a timely manner. Very easy to work with, professional, and a great waiting area if you need to stick around while they work on your vehicle. I would come back here any time. read more

On May 10th, my engine warning light came on. I took my 2013 Cadillac CTS4 to a O'Reilly's Auto Parts and they did a free diagnosis showing it was an evap purge valve (code p0496) and I needed to replace my Vapor Canister Purge Valve. I made the mistake of calling RPM Autoworx based on a recommendation from the guy at O'Reilly's. The diagnostics took three minutes. When I called RPM they advised me that they were busy today (May 10) but if I could bring it in early on Thursday (May 12) they could get it fixed. I even told them the diagnostic code and what was wrong with it. I dropped my car off at 830 am on 5/12, and was told to wait for a call to confirm the needed repair and the estimate. No call that day, and no call on Friday. I called Friday afternoon and was told they hadn't looked at my car yet. I called Monday afternoon and asked what the estimate was and was told that they didn't have an estimate, Richard said "estimates stack up here and take a while", I reminded Richard my car had been there since Thursday and Richard said he'd call me back in 30 minutes. That's the only call I ever received from that shop, when he called Richard told me it would be $216.00 parts and labor and it would be ready Thursday. I called Thursday afternoon and they were 'waiting for the part' and it 'would arrive Friday am and my car would be ready that afternoon'. I told Richard I had to work and that I'd pick it up at 8 am Monday May 23rd. I arrived at 8 am Monday, as promised, and my car HAD NOT BEEN FIXED YET. I said I'd wait as I'd been dropped off and Richard promised it would take under an hour. I started my stopwatch when the mechanic pulled my car out of its spot 3 minutes later and stopped the timer when he pulled my car around front NINE MINUTES LATER. It was complete and I was charged $70.00 for the part (online the part goes for $23.00-$53.00 dependent upon source) and $125 for labor. I'm assuming that's 1 hour labor charge at $125/hour for a 9 minute repair. I was given my keys and charged $216.00 for the repair, no apology, no offer of a discount because they'd had my car so long (12 days) and been so unreliable regarding contact and customer service. Richard was well aware of my frustrations so it was a denial of relief, not a lack of knowledge they'd screwed up. The owner wasn't in or I'd have talked to him about the whole process and lack of communication from his staff. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE UNLIMITED TIME AND PATIENCE TO DEAL WITH THEIR POOR COMMUNICATION AND LACK OF TIMELY REPAIRS!!! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE OVERALL. read more

Took my vehicle in for an oil change on 2/23/24. Everything appeared to be going well until I had to go out of town for an appointment on 2/26/24. As I'm riding on the highway I hear a noise like something is dragging but I know it's not my car because there was nothing in the road and I haven't run over a pothole so I figure it's one of the vehicles on the highway. Once I get to my destination I hear the dragging again On my way! To park so I look underneath the car and my undercarriage cover is hanging with parts missing at this point. No other damage to the car and I would've known if I would've hit something because the front off the car would be damaged. Being that the undercarriage cove had been perfectly fine up to this point, I think back to whether it was sure after the oil change but it's after business hours. This is 2/26/24 First thing i do the following morning is call RPM and speak to Greg about my concerns. He instructed me to bring the vehicle in to look at but I informed him due my appt it would be after 2:30 -3:00pm before I make it back in town. He tells me to bring the car in the next day (2/28/24) since it would be so late. I take the car back to the shop, they look at and ask the tech did he secure the undercarriage cover and of course he's not going to say he didn't. At this moment I know what the play is. I'm told that since it's been three days it couldn't be the fault of RPM but Greg would speak to the owner. That was 2/28/24 at approximately 8:00am. You know the rest. Lesson learned! read more

It's been about 6 years since my first review of RPM. Just moved back into the area and... Nothing has changed. Rick and the desk staff are upfront, friendly and honest, Nate is still there doing what he does best, and the new guy (forget his name... Always has a pen light clipped to his hat) is just like all the other employees. Beyond upstanding. New guy did some suspension work and replaced an engine mount in my Volvo, and took me out to the shop floor twice to explain the issue, and how they'd fix it. Price for repairs came in considerably less than what I had expected. The waiting area is the same... Spotless, comfortable, and with free coffee and drinks. Casual banter with Rick and his awesome service writer are free too! :) read more

I'd had RMP work on my Audi a few times. The last time it was taking back in for an overnight stay with RMP, I picked the car up a it had a cracked windshield, which it didn't have when it was dropped off. I informed staff and was told the Owner, Rick, would get in touch with me. That took two weeks to speak with him who denied any wrong doing but offered to split the cost of the replacement with me. Rick said he would get a price on the windshield but that never happened in waiting three more weeks on him. Finally, I called my self and had it replaced the next business day that I called. I sent Rick a copy of the bill three weeks ago and he's never paid it, called or emailed. Really terrible experience. Not doing what they said, not making phones calls or keeping their word and not owing up to damage they caused to a customer's car while in their possession. Can't trust them. read more

These guys helped me after I bought a used car from a relative. They knocked out a bunch of small issues and some large ones (no horn sound and noises coming from the axle) I went away on a 3 day trip and the car was ready to be picked up less than 2 days into my trip! RPM Autoworx - Waiting area - Auto Repair Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

I do not wish car trouble upon my worst enemy, which I don't have any, but if you catch yourself in need of great customer and mechanic services, and decent honest price, or just a oil change, RPM Autoworx is the place to go in Savannah. Very clean environment with huge waiting room, friendly mechanics who are there to answer questions without talking you into having something done. Oh, and they are recommended by tirerack.com. read more

Excellent service. Dropped my car overnight and Kyle called me with information the next morning. Then they picked me up when the car was done. In and out in a day. I even gave them an open door to add more expensive (but unneeded) services, and they recommended against it. I've never had an auto shop refuse the opportunity to add more services, needed or not! This review is for the waters location. read more

Had my Audi taken here a few months ago to get it fixed before I moved. From the research I did it was the torque converter to which they immediately said that was the issue with the car when I told them that's what I thought it was. First they said to change the tranny fluid which said could fix it. Nope, 400$ down the drain. They then replaced the torque converter and after a week it started to do the same thing. Took it back to them said they couldn't handle the problem and to go to a transmission specialist. Took it to one and they said no way it was the torque converter and that RPM ripped me off. Keep in mind this job cost 2200$! I had it looked at by a local Audi guy from a facebook page and he said it was the intake motor flap. He had a spare one laying around. Swapped it out and car was fine. Bottom line: do not take it to this terrible shop. Can not be trusted. Just like the other guy who had the Audi with the crack in the windshield. The owner is going through a divorce he told me so my guess he is trying to rip off as many people as he can to help pay for that. It's unfortunate, but to rip off customers isn't right. I also keep gettting their terrible emails which you can't unsubscribe from. Also, their points program is a joke. When I had all that work done they never put the points on the card and even after I brought it up they still never did. Just my two cents. Do not take your car here!! read more

My family and I have used RPM for years. I'm an aircraft mechanic but had surgery so I needed some help with a few things on my F150.... I also use them for all our alignments as they absolutely understand vehicles with modified suspensions and get the alignments spot on every time.... Always polite, always accommodating, and nice shop and waiting area. I bought my tires elsewhere because that tire shop owed me due to issues I've had with them, but I pay to have rotate and balance done at RPM because I know it's done right the first time.... to top it off, this is a locally owned business and that makes a huge difference to me and my family. Great job team! Thanks for all the support! read more

I just moved to Savannah and have had some reoccuring issues with my car. I looked online and saw RPM autoworx had outstanding reviews on other websites and decided to give them a shot. I explained my issues and they took care of my issue. They had good recommendations and I called my family mechanic to cross-reference their prices and they said they agreed with their diagnosis and prices. All in all I ended up spending a good bit of money but they fixed my car and explained to me exactly what the issue was and got me set up with their rewards program. I felt professionally cared for and would recommend this to anyone who wants hassle free help who is willing to pay to get it done right. read more

I got my oil changed at RPM and for the next 2 days my car smelled like something was burning. I'd thought originally they'd just spilled some oil and it was burning off but just to be sure I parked it and checked the oil. There was NO oil on the dipstick whatsoever. Upon further inspection, there was oil all up the back of my car, something I hadn't noticed right away because my car's black. I had to put oil in it just to get it there, where they told me it was a faulty seal on the filter. I think they just failed to tighten it up, but either way that's something they should've checked over before they sent me home with it. Also, a mutual acquantance I met through work just started working at a shop in Savannah and in the month he's worked there they've already had to work on 2 motors RPM's screwed up. I would NOT recommend going there!! read more

I live in the DFW area of Texas and my son goes to SCAD. Being a dad so far away, it is hard (aka worrisome) when you kid has car trouble. I called RPM because of the reviews. What else did I have to go on? Well, "Pleased" is too minor of a word to use for my experience with RPM. Kile (I cheated and saw your name spelled that way) was beyond FANTASTIC with me AND my son. He was totally understanding of my situation as well as my panic. He provided pictures via email for me to understand the problem(s) with my son's car and then, talked me through the problems and ranked each one to their severity. Yeah, RPM may do this for all of their customers but, I didn't expect to get this quality, professional customer service like I did. Outstanding! Outstanding! And, the work was done AHEAD of schedule. Go figure! Kile, I know I told you "THANKS" on the phone (several times) but, THANKS for calming the nerves of an anxious dad. Thanks for treating my son (the one with the overgrown head of hair) so well. He will be in Savannah for the next few years and he WILL come back to RPM when the need arises. When I visit lovely Savannah again, I would love to come by and shake your hand. You've earned my respect! read more
