The manager informed me that the previous shop didn't set up my road side hazard package correctly, preventing work to be performed under the agreement in the road side hazard purchase - even though my account showed I purchased the package. Duane, the store manager, explained the situation thoroughly and offered to attempt to resolve the issue personally. He called the VA shop, and my record was updated in 10mins, allowing work to be performed free of charge as outlined in the road side hazard package. When I got there, they immediately began giving me estimates and were able to order parts and fix my car that same day! The front desk man could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I was sitting in the waiting area (which is huge and very comfortable) for over three hours waiting for my car. It happened to be down pouring the entire time I was there, and when it came time for the lunch break, I was invited to take a ride to get lunch. Beyond thoughtful and respectful, rather than leaving me to sit outside in the rain for an hour. Before today, I'd never been to a mechanic in Savannah, as I'm very new to the area and here for college. I've always been wary of going to any sort of mechanic alone, as I'm a young, uneducated (in cars) woman, with fears of being up charged and taken advantage of. All the staff sat down and explained the issues with my car and explained the prices (in very basic terms which I was thankful for). I know I was very well taken care of here, and wouldn't even consider going to a different mechanic.

Original estimate was $450. Final estimate turned into $3400. It turned out I had a broken rear leaf spring. It took 2 months to get my car back. If you want a garage that rarely answers the phone or does not return phone calls, even before I ever brought my car in, than this would be the place to take your car. Grant it that it took 3 weeks for my part to get in, but they had no reason to work on my car for 5 weeks. I was berated by the owner for calling all the time and told, "it's not going to get the car fixed any quicker by constantly calling us. It turns out they only use cell phones to track your phone calls coming in and just ignore customers that have their cars in the shop. When I took my corvette into the show, they located a transmission oil leak in one of the lines close to the transmission intercooler. But the leak is so slow that it doesn't even drip from the car at all. So I will not worry about it until it actually starts to show some leakage on the garage floor. So I will not waste money on fixing this $800 repair. They also sent me an email to replace the front spring after they already took it apart and never fixed it. And they did not raise the front end enough and neither did they make it level like I asked for it. So they want me to fix things that don't need to be fixed, and they took 2 months to do a half ass job on what I already asked to be fixed. Never again will I take my car to those idiots I did not even respond to their email, they are not worth my time to even do that

We'd had it checked before we started the trip so this was unexpected and looking like a big bill mid trip. But No! The fine people at Savannah auto air showed us how to adjust the AC to get the most out of it for the remainder of the trip. Our compressor is starting to go (apparently) but should get us home. That diagnostic and reassurance was very valuable to us and the charged us NOTHING!!! so nice! peace of mind was restored. They could have told us we needed that compressor now. We wouldn't have known the difference and we would have lost a day and had a big bill. It's nice when you find an honest shop. I made an appt a week in advance for a wheel bearing replacement, then I brought the car over the day before. I called at 10am the day of the appt, they hadn't looked at it yet. Called back at 3pm, still hadn't looked at it but they will look at it next. Called back at 5pm (and they close at 6pm), they were just bringing it into the shop. I asked if they had the new parts and wheel bearing to fix it, they said no. Needless to say I just picked the car up and left. This place is a mismanaged, amateurish business.
