Secondly, I'd like to address the concern of Ms Doris M, the vehicle arrived to the shop in such a condition that we had to bug bomb it twice, baby roaches and all kinds of different critters everywhere, not to mention the smell and overall terrible mechanical condition of said vehicle (pure negligence). I called the owner (mom) and explained all of this and also recommended her to NOT spend ANY money on this car as it was too far gone, furthermore, we could not fix it to its entirety as it would cost way too much money to even attempt due to the year make and model of said vehicle. Even though the owner had not seen the car and its condition, she INSISTED we repair the car for her daughter even though we encouraged her not to. After repairs to get the car to simply run and drive to perform safely were made (bare minimum), we called the customer to pick up the vehicle which had sat here for a MONTH after the payment plan we set for them, again, trying to help, the customer left happy as could be. A month after the fact, the vehicle returned with more issues than the prior visit and the young girl and her boyfriend complained that we took the moms money and then proceeded to infest us with bad reviews, we love when customers speak for themselves and put up their honest experiences but after all the lies I see posted here with updates and such interesting details, I feel the need to defend our company against this type of slander. I specifically explained that in order to begin the diagnostic procedure to your ac system, we would have to do an evacuation and recharge of your freon with dye, this would allow us to pinpoint where your leak is coming from when it ran out, therefore, it would take more to fix upon returning, I have taken the liberty to see the kind of reviews you leave and it is no surprise to me why you left such a misinformed review after we took the time to explain how these systems work and repair procedures, but apparently you seem very difficult to please everywhere you go. After receiving my new battery from Savannah Tire in Pooler on Foxfield Dr. (what a disappointing event that turned out to be) I went to Rafael's to have my air conditioner fan looked at (which I was told at Savannah Tire it worked on account it was due to "low voltage" hence the battery replacement). Rafael's fixed the fan problem in less than 1 day. Not the week as spent at Savannah Tire for a battery replacement. Another week went by and we had more problems involving the battery just bought. It went dead on White Bluff Rd at the Eisenhouer intersection. The wrecker asked me where to take it and I said Rafael's and no where else. Rafael's quickly diagnosed the problem as the alternator (not charging the battery) and it was replaced inside of 3 hours. I will never take my truck to anyone but Rafael's Auto Repair in Savannah, GA. 2 weeks ago, I asked Savannah Tire to diagnose the problem which could have been solved by assessing the alternator. A qualified auto mechanic such as Rafael's experienced shop mechanics would have diagnosed the problem as the alternator to begin with and not a dead battery like Savannah Tire in Pooler did costing me 2 wrecker tows and 2 weeks of aggravation. I found Rafael Auto Repair when I moved to Savannah from out of state in October 2021. I didn't know any mechanics and I had contacted a couple that wanted to charge $150 diagnostic fee that I could not use towards the repair. I took a chance with Rafael Auto Repair and do not regret it at all! They were awesome in accommodating me w/o an appt at the time and diagnosed and fixed my car. They took time to reassure me that my car would be repairable. I recently had another car issue and in need of an oil change-went right to them! I have been doing business with Rafael for over a year now and have been amazed at their knowledge when it comes to recognizing symptoms when something goes wrong with your car. I was getting tired of going to some other well-known repair shops and having them take guesses as to what was wrong with my vehicle. I hate taking my vehicle anywhere to be worked on, because I like to do as much as I can myself. Occasionally I run into a repair I don't have the tools for. Because I'm really picky, it's hard for me to leave my truck at just any shop. I got lucky when I found Rafaels. Not only do they do a good job. They'll go over the repairs with you and point out other areas that may need attention in the future. I don't hesitate to task he my truck back to them. Because of the computer system that envelopes everything about these vehicles, it was difficult to get a straight answer on what exactly the issue was. All the places I went to before Rafaels, would lie to me and tell me that there were much more complex issues and that it would cost a small fortune. My van has had great service there..I find everyone there to be .professional. my best feeling is they have integrity! Will not try to get you to fix something that doesn't really need it..for instance I have a small oil leak..doesn't even drip onto my drive..the asked me to watch my oil level and schedule a time that works for me as the repair is not super cheap..it is not threatening either ..( yes I know you have to keep oil..we are talking less than a qt over 3 months here)..service is amazing..prompt and they are gracias too read more
