Since the business was acquired by new owners, however, the customer service has been hit or miss. Since the change in ownership, I've brought them two Honda S2000 front spoilers for painting. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was not nearly as smooth as I expected. I negotiated a cash price that was similar to what I had paid a couple of years earlier, despite Michael aggressively trying to justify a significantly higher price. When I dropped off the spoiler, Jermaine assisted me and thoroughly explained the preparation process they would use to paint the polyurethane piece. I was told it would be ready for pickup in a few days. When I returned, I carefully inspected the finished product and immediately noticed several issues. The edge of the spoiler had blotchy paint coverage that appeared to be the result of inadequate surface preparation and inconsistent paint application. The top of the spoiler also had areas that appeared to have received little to no paint. I pointed out these defects to Michael, but instead of acknowledging the concerns, he immediately became defensive and blamed the manufacturer of the spoiler. As we discussed possible solutions, Jermaine brought the painter over to evaluate the problem areas. Even after the painter inspected the piece, Michael continued insisting that the manufacturer was at fault and began calculating an additional charge to correct the issues. During that conversation, I overheard the painter quietly tell Michael that it was a simple repair that would only take about ten minutes. At that point, I told Michael there was no way I was going to pay an additional $200 on a $400 paint job to correct problems that were clearly the result of poor preparation or workmanship. Thankfully, Michael eventually reconsidered and authorized the painter to make the repairs at no additional cost. I returned a few days later, and the problem areas had been corrected. The finished product ultimately looked much better. Like any business, Alliance Autobody has employees who genuinely care about providing excellent customer service and others who seem more focused on maximizing the bill. Jermaine was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. I only wish that same level of customer service had been reflected consistently throughout the entire experience.

Instead, he talked us through our options and suggested a much more practical solution for the condition of the car right now. He also does diminished value reports, which I didn't even know was a thing I should be asking about. I finally reached him Monday afternoon and had to ask for his supervisor, Sandra F., just to get things moving. After holding my car for a full week without providing an estimate, Adrian finally called with a figure of $8,600.94 -- more than four times the original estimate, with no explanation for the delay or the dramatic difference. When my insurance company arranged a tow for a second estimate, Sandra F. attempted to charge me $1,200 in "storage fees" -- for a car that sat there for 8 days largely because Adrian failed to respond to my calls and texts. Additionally, Adrian told me the Enterprise rental would be $30/day. It was actually $47.99/day. I had to extend the rental due to their delays, so this discrepancy cost me real money. To summarize the documented issues: - A week-long delay in providing an estimate despite repeated follow-up - Unanswered calls and texts from Adrian - A $1,200 storage fee attempt for delays they caused - Misrepresented rental car rate ($30 vs. $47.99/day) - A final estimate more than 4x the original written quote I would not trust this shop with my vehicle again and strongly caution others to get everything in writing before leaving your car here.
