Once you enter you stand in line to order then your food will be delivered to your table by one of the kind and helpful staff. As we stood in line we watched a Mac attack pizza pass and knew immediately that's what we wanted. Dinner size specialty pizzas are a little steep on price, but they are delicious and you can taste how fresh the ingredients are. The pizza was amazing. We also split a meatball sandwich, which was only two meatballs (split in half for four meat chunks), the bread was the real star here. Will probably stick to pizza in the future. read more

This is the best pizza I have ever had. Let me qualify that by saying that I've had pizza all over NYC and in various regions of Italy, and this is the best. I recommend going into the restaurant without expectations and a clear mind, free from what you think pizza "should be" -- don't expect typical generic American style pizza (Papa John's, etc.) or NYC style pizza. This pizza is a true Neapolitan (Napolitano) style of pizza, which you could only find at one other place in the Triangle (Pompieri Pizza in Durham). It has a thin crust, cooked to perfection (not too crispy and not soggy), and a bit of char from the wood-fired oven. It isn't choking in cheese so thick you can't taste the other ingredients. The cheese is one ingredient of several that work together to create a full flavor profile. And oh, the flavors at V Pizza... *swoon* ...magnificent and well-balanced, playing like a perfect symphony across your palate. The quality of the ingredients is above and beyond anything you have likely experienced in a pizza shop. Not just fresh and superb quality, but clearly curated with love and commitment to a superlative pie. The star of the pizza here is the red sauce. Anyone who knows me would be absolutely shocked to hear me say that, because I am not a sauce person. Most places get too much or have a generic, boring base that does nothing to compliment the other ingredients, or worse, overwhelms them completely. Why is this sauce so special? San Marzano tomatoes, friends; there is no equal. Somehow, it creates the perfect base and exquisite compliment to the toppings. It doesn't overwhelm or underwhelm, but brings out the best in everything. Beyond the pizza, they have a very extensive beer list, featuring the largest local and statewide selections I have seen in Cary. Personally, I very much appreciate their dedication to our local and state breweries. This puts money right back into our community and it matters. The only thing that rivals the food is the service. These folks actually care about your experience as well as the food they prepare. A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I ordered one of the spicier pizzas. I was going to try and tough it out, as he loves spicy food. Unfortunately, even though the flavors were absolutely amazing, it was just too much heat for me. I went up to order another pizza and they gave it to me for free. I was stunned. I had ordered the first pizza fully aware it could be too spicy and I may have to buy something else, and I told them I didn't mind paying for another pie, but they insisted. In this day and age when true customer service has gone the way of the dodo, it was extremely surprising (and refreshing). Yes, the pizza here is a little pricey. Why? Because the ingredients are high quality and more expensive. You can truly taste the difference. It's the same concept as any other restaurant, from McDonald's to Ruth's Chris: you get what you pay for. :) The only recommendations I have to make this great place even better would be to offer boneless wings and somehow integrate the full bar menu with the walk up food ordering. read more

As much as I want to say I love their food, they are very inconsistent. I have been here 5 times and every time the food and service have been all over the place. When it is good, it's really good. Their thin and crispy pizza is amazing, but last time I went the whole bottom of the pizza was burnt, so it took another 30 minutes for them to bring us another one. Their wings are really good also, especially the Calabrian, though they were ice cold one time we ordered them. Overall I like their food, but it would be nice if they iron out some of the kinks they seem to have. read more

Awful service (ignored, no drinks for a long time, excuses for the burned food), burned wings, burned and barely topped pizza. There's a difference between a little char on fresh pizza oven pizza and food that is both over and under cooked. The server told me the burned food was "typical Italian style." Later, when I didn't eat the wings or pizza, the sever said she should have probably gotten the kitchen to make better ones. My friend ate a few wings because she was hungry. I should have sent everything back but was also trying to get drinks and trying to enjoy a night out. As I was walking out, I saw a table with a pile of burnt crusts and pizzas, like they just ate the toppings off. I've been there 3x now and never had a great experience. Now I'm finally done. One star for the busser quickly bringing me napkins and one for the ridiculous server excuses, which gave me a laugh. read more

We did takeout a few weeks back and we're quite pleased with the food. I talked my husband into getting the Calabrian Wings and they did not disappoint. After some reviews I was a little worried they might be overly charred but they were not. Noted when ordering the option for ordering well done which we did not select. They are listed as spicy and do have a moderate level of heat, pleasant not burn your face off. For pizza we did the Mac Attack Pizza and Pizza Carnivora, both were very tasty and held up for takeout pretty good. The Carnivora held up best but then meat loaded pizzas tend to be great no matter the temperature and reheat really well. The Mac Attack was good but would be stellar when first brought to the table so I look forward to eating there to enjoy a beer and super hot version of that pizza. I clearly didn't do enough research before ordering, but I definitely got lucky with what we picked! Hubs and I opted to try something new and ordered take-out from V last night. We picked the wings and the Pizza Piccante because spicy stuff is our jam. Really wanted the caprese, but didn't give in because... well my waistline is in question with all this quarantine stuff! Anyway, the wings HAVE BIG OL' ONIONS ON THEM!! You need to know that because what if you hate or can't eat onions (I pity you, poor soul)?? That's where I didn't really do enough research, just saw wings and ordered them. They were solid! And the 'za absolutely did not disappoint. So, where do I start because V Pizza has become a beloved staple in our home over the past year. In short, V Pizza exceeded my expectations in all ways, from food to service. If you're looking for the cheapest pizza, not your place. Looking for the exceptional tasting pizza with high quality and authentic ingredients, this IS your place. Creative, diverse, and appealing menu for all ages. Just ask my 2 year old who gobbles up the wings. The pear and Gorgonzola special is superb and my personal fav thus far, but also.. Carnivora is to die for. Side note: As a parent, I have always felt how someone treats my children is the ultimate test, because it's easy to overlook someone who isn't swiping their card. Our wait staff always treats my children with the upmost kindness and respect, and for that-- I want to say thank you for creating a genuine family environment. On my way to get food at a different place, I recognized the logo of "V Pizza" from a previous trip to Jacksonville, FL and immediately called my wife. We always talk about how we missed the food from that trip and V Pizza was one of those "I wish we had this in Raleigh" restaurants. I ordered the Delle Donne minus the ricotta and add artichoke. I just ate 3 slices from a regular size and don't feel heavy or sluggish but thoroughly satisfied. The ingredients are super fresh and flavorful. The price is well worth it and I'm grateful to have this FL based pizza company here in NC which saves me an 8 hour drive . Well had an amazing experience, first time in it was a late night after a soccer game. We were just going to get desserts, but our server who was the owner was like no way u have to try a pizza!! New location is gorgeous. I ordered the personal Margherita pizza and it was great. All fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. The bufala mozzarella is fantastic! Service was great and everyone was very attentive. The only weird part was getting a side Caesar salad to start and they brought out everything in take out containers. We are from out-of-town, wanted to take our 1-year-old granddaughter out for pizza. She is allergic to eggs and dairy. V Pizza not only had terrific reviews but makes their pizza dough without eggs and dairy. My husband has celiac so he needs gluten free pizza. V Pizza has two gluten free offerings: gluten free flour pizza and cauliflower pizza. The manager recommended we order flatbread for the child, so there would be no cheese issues. My husband ordered cauliflower crusted bolognese pizza and I ordered napoli regular pizza crust. Everything was excellent and our granddaughter ate an astounding amount. The restaurant is not noisy at all, but not too quiet either. The staff goes out of their way to ensure your visit is the best it can be. We will definitely return whenever we visit. We went here on July 4th and had the worst service. I think they were under staffed which if you don't have enough employees then stay closed. There were only 3 tables in the entire restaurant occupied. 3 employees to service everyone. We finally are waited on by a gentleman and gave him our drink order and he disappears. When he reappears he starts cleaning empty tables. He comes back and asks what we would like to eat and I asked where our drinks were and he stated "Oh yeah, what did you want again". I just laughed and reordered. Couldn't believe the unapologetic attitude or awareness. The salad we ordered was underwhelming. The pizza was ok but nothing to write home about. I can't say enough GREAT things about V Pizza. The owner, Anthony, is friendly, present, and always willing to make your dining (in and out) experience- the best. His work ethic is phenomenal. He knows his customers well and always comes and says hi. Now- THE FOOD. You won't find better pizza in the Cary/ Raleigh area. We've tried so many! Anthony imports ingredients from Napoli, Italy- and the attention to details like this is evident in the delicious food. We've had most of the pizza specials, calzones, and even salads.
