If you come here, make an appointment. I come here from time to time because it's close to home but, it's very hit or miss. The last time we came, my daughter asked for a fill and to fix a nail. The nail was fixed, but nail tech didn't want to do the fill being that she had a scheduled appointment walk in. I'm assuming it was the person in charge made her do the fill, but my daughter felt uncomfortable after that. I stopped by today since I was shopping in the area and was told it'd be a "few minutes", an hour and 8 minutes later I left. I asked after 30 minutes and was told 10 minutes. But, it obviously wasn't. It would've been nice to be told there'd be a long wait so I could leave or make an appointment and come back. read more

This was my first time going here, it wad a great experience. I had an appointment at 6:30pm and I came early at 5:10pm and I got to start right away. I got a regular manicure. I play sports so my nails where in TERRIBLE shape, and now that I am done it looks great, I got the colors of my soccer team. The manicure was only $16 and it was well worth my money. My 1 star is for 1 manicurist. Very nice shop and personnel. My Mother had a good manicure from Nancy. My manicurist was Thomas. He was very nice but very very new. Took about 1 hour for the manicure. Although he tried he struggled too much for his poor end product. I had to stop him from applying the base coat and ask him to remove my clear polish. He chose to re-smooth the top of my nails after cleaning them w alcohol which left particles on my nails as he polished them. Thomas did not apply polish to edges of my nails. I have 1 thumb nail w acrylic on it. He did not file it down to shorten it to match my other nails nor did he smooth the edges of the acrylic nail along the cuticle. Neither manicurist cleaned under our nails. Again, nice shop. My recommendation is to avoid Thomas until he masters his job. Perhaps he needs to practice on non-paying customers (paid $16 for manicure). read more

Moved to the desert from LA, been looking for a good nail spot for 6 months (I've gone to 3 other places) and I think I found the one. I requested Ken based off other reviews and he did an amazing job on my nails, first time getting coffin shape and I love them. Ken took his time and you could tell, I like that he spaces out his appointments an hour apart so your not waiting or feel rushed out when it's your turn. This is my go-to nail salon . Great prices for great work . Would definitely recommend stopping buy for a nail appointment . Walk-in wait times are usually 30-40 minute so I recommend set an appointment my phone call. Reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that I got my toes done for the first time here and I suppose pulling out ingrown toenails is apart of the pedicure which I was not aware of . It wasn't painful and by the end of the appointment my nails and feet looked amazing ! I couldn't help but notice that my toe started hurting to the touch a few days after my appointment it still hurts a bit . Not sure if it got infected or if that was just apart of the pedicure and my feet weren't used to it. All in all I love this place my nails always come out amazing read more

I went in for a full set with an ombré design, & KEN is usually who does my nails, but I believe he was on vacation, according to the other staff. One of the female technicians said she could do ombré nails for me, she took out KENS supplies and at first it seemed like she knew what she was doing...clearly she didn't. It was a disaster. All she needed to tell me was that she did not know how to do ombré nails and I would have just picked a regular gel color. My nails looked horrible and she said we could cover it up with a gel color but regardless of that, the nail shape was extremely thick and uneven.... so unprofessional and upsetting that she still asked me if I wanted to tip...I shouldn't have even paid to begin with... I decided to go to another nail tech. & have her remove the acrylics that I had gotten done at V-nails.... very disappointing. read more

I was really impressed with this nail shop. It was clean and everything seemed very organized. My appointment was for powder dipped nails and a pedicure. I've had my nails done at other places in the La Quinta area so I definitely had something to compare. My nails were done by Thomas and unlike other places he actually put in the time to make my nails look natural. I always seem to miss the nail care when I get the dipped nails but Thomas actually did care for my natural nails. He also doesn't dip your whole hand in polish remover! In regards to my pedicure, Nancy did my nails. I have an ingrown nail that can be extremely painful but she did a wonderful job. Super satisfied with the attention to detail by both Thomas and Nancy. This was my nail place for years. Years. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel like enough is enough. I overlooked so many things, inconsistent service (ie person getting manicure next to me getting hand and arm massage when my manicure did not - multiple times), rushing through service, aggressive use of tools that ends up being painful or with cuts, inconsistent pricing (they use their discretion on prices, don't let you know ahead of time if charging extra, and it will be a surprise when you go to pay). Last straw was tonight. Made a regular pedicure appt for my teen daughter. They asked her which pedicure she wanted and twice she said "just regular". They apparently proceeded to give her the "deluxe" service and once again we didn't know until we went to pay and found what should have been a 20 something pedicure was costing us over 40. It's not the amount, but the principle. Very sad we will need to find a new place. read more

My wife did her nails here for the first time, sadly the customer service was poor. The finger nails were not smooth even after pointing the fact out they tried to fix but failed again. After trying to comunicated they did not understand or just simply ignored us. Would give a better review once they put more effort. I noticed the flaws and im a guy. Go figure. read more

Stay Away! I have been going here for a couple months. It has been hit and miss...seems to be a revolving door of manicurists, no real continuity, but I was happy with the dip manicures that I received. Then I had two manicures in a row that did not even last a week, and for what you pay for the Dip polish, that is ridiculous. The second time I went in and talked to the manager. He argued with me, wanting me to have the same manicurist do the replacement set (why the hell would I do that when she clearly didn't do it right the first time...each nail was lifting, chipping or had completely come off in a week's time), then said I would have to pay if anyone else did the replacement manicure but him because he "would have to pay them", and he wasn't available today. Um, yes, that is what you do when your staff screws up and a customer pays for something they did not receive. You make it right, even if you have to pay the employee. Bad business practices. Bad salon. Clearly has gone downhill in quality and they lost my business. read more

It's unfortunate that Yelp is "not currently recommending" my previous review of V Nails. I think my review was entirely fair. I noted that Tracy did a reasonably good job considering she spent so much time on her phone. When she wasn't checking her phone or sending text messages, she was chatting with the employee next to her. She said not one word to me. I have posted several photos that document what I consider are very valid comments about the unprofessional conduct of a V Nails employee. A site such as Yelp loses credibility if it chooses to censor unflattering reviews. read more

This place sometimes does such an amazing job and other times, I leave so disappointed. Had a gel fill at the same time as a pedicure. With designs and all, my nails were completely done and dried while the pedicurist still had barely finished the filing and trimming of my cuticles and nails. After almost 2 hours of waiting for the pedicurist to finish w/ the whole package I chose, I had to finally stop her because I was on a limited schedule. Hadn't planned on a 2 hour pedicure. Left w/o the callus remover, message, and the toenails weren't even what I'd asked her to do. I wanted pink and white french manicure, she painted clear and tiny little white strips. Paid 30 dollars for this....why?!?! Just wish for more of an accommodating attitude and consistency. read more
