I visited a little over 2 weeks ago, with an appointment I had made for my mom and I, for the first and last time. I had written this review same day, but it didn't upload, so I'm just uploading it again now. I made an appointment for my mom and I. They were busy, so we had to wait a bit because the nail techs I requested for us were both backed up. That I can completely understand and respect. However, it took too long for the receptionist/worker to tell us that. We were just waiting after I checked us in, and I had to ask twice for updates on our turn. When the receptionist finally told me that the nails techs (the ones I requested) were backed up, she suggested we go with other nail techs. My mom was fine with it because she just wanted a solid color and a glittery one. I was more cautious because I had chosen a specific nail tech (after looking at the reviews) because I wanted a more intricate design for my nails. I told the receptionist this and she said she understood and asked if my mom could get started first with an available nail tech and if I could wait just 10-15 mins for my requested one to be done. We said that that was fine and I was okay with waiting. However, I waited longer than that. It had been 30 minutes of waiting when I asked the receptionist if I could have any other available nail tech and that I would just get a solid color (because I was tired of waiting). The receptionist assured me that my nail tech was almost done. I told her my thoughts, that my mom's tech started the color on her nails and how I just wanted my nails to finish soon after hers so she wouldn't have to wait for me too long. The receptionist assured again that my requested tech was almost done. I said okay and continued to wait. It had been now 50 minutes of waiting when I told the receptionist that I no longer wanted to get my nails done because my mom was almost done and I didn't want her to wait for me. I will admit my tone was sharp because I was just annoyed by then. Another worker heard me and said that I should still get my nails done because my mom was getting a deluxe manicure service which would take longer, and she would be finished when I would be. I didn't know what the deluxe service was and how long it would take (I just wanted my mom to get it), so I agreed to stay. I should've stood my ground and said no. The nail tech finally came to do my nails. I wanted this done quicker, so instead of the design I originally wanted, I just asked for cateye polish and rhinestones (which started coming off the next day). He was still buffing my old polish off when my mom was done with her deluxe service... What made it worse was the fact that my nail tech was conversing with other techs and even got up a few times to go to the back room talking with whoever. Oh, but don't worry, I guess he knew my mom was still waiting for me to finish because he sped up my service by forgoing my cuticles completely. I didn't notice until I got home and cleaned them up myself. No apologies from start to finish, that I remember clearly. Just false assurances and a lot of waiting for a mediocre service. Never again. A note to the business. Please be more proactive in communicating with your customers. Be realistic with timing. If something can't happen, it can't happen. Don't mess with someone's time because you want to make more money. read more

Amy was did a great job on my hands, was kind, smiled, and thoughtfully suggested that I try switching my watch to the opposite wrist to let the left one breathe a bit. She jotted that the skin is getting irritated. Leo worked on my toes at the same time. His massage relaxed my feet nicely. Their new chairs are so comfortable and the massage is better than every other I've sat in. It's also not so big that I'm swimming in it. Their ventilation works well, and there's plenty of natural light. They brought water and lovely little Bischof's cookie crisps. It's an altogether great experience. I'll try waxing services next. I visited Anna's Nail & Spa at 44491 Town Center Way and worked with Katie, who was awesome. I came in for a pedicure, and she took great care of me. I had a slightly ingrown nail on my big toe, and she was able to fix it and give me instant relief. The pricing was solid. I added the callus remover, and with the pedicure and tax, I walked out at around $44 plus a cash tip. For the quality, that's a great deal. The shop itself is really nice. Bright, clean, and busy in a good way. Lots of staff working, lots of customers getting services, and the whole place felt organized and welcoming. It also didn't have that strong chemical smell you get in some nail salons, which I appreciated. They offer a ton of services, but I kept it simple with just a pedicure this time. He's super talented with designs, to the point where I usually just let him freestyle my sets, and they always turn out amazing (as you can see in the pic). I want to start by saying that after nearly an hour of back-and-forth, the owner did ultimately refund me, and I appreciate that. That said, the process to get there was exhausting enough that I feel this review is worth sharing. I came in for one of their deluxe spa pedicures during a rare two-hour break from work and mom life. I was genuinely excited to relax. The massage, oils, and hot stones were lovely, and overall the experience felt calming while I was there--nothing stood out as a major issue at the time. However, once I got home, I realized the actual polish work was not up to standard. The gel polish on my right foot didn't go down to the cuticle line and already looked like it had grown out for weeks. The application was messy, polish was on my skin, and parts were already peeling. Because I chose a very light color, it wasn't obvious at first glance--but up close, it was very noticeable. This was an $80 pedicure, plus $15 for gel, plus tip, so not an inexpensive service. I immediately called the salon. The owner asked why I didn't say anything before leaving, and I explained that I had to rush out to meet my son and that the issues weren't obvious until I was home. For the price, I expect the work to look good from every angle. I was told I could come back in to have it fixed, either that day or the next. Unfortunately, as a single mom, this simply wasn't feasible--I wasn't going to pay for childcare just to correct a service that should have been done properly the first time. What was frustrating was being offered a 50% gift certificate, then $50, with the explanation that the nail tech rents a space and doesn't technically work for the salon. From a customer perspective, that distinction shouldn't matter. I booked with the salon, paid the salon, and expected the salon's standards to apply. After about 45 minutes of discussion, the owner did eventually issue a refund, which I appreciate. Still, it took far longer than it should have to resolve, and I was made to feel like I had to justify a very reasonable complaint. I share this not to be unkind, but so future customers understand both the positives and the challenges here. Nail techs can have off days, and customers do too--but how an issue is handled matters just as much as the service itself. I also hope the tech takes more care with polish application moving forward. Transparency goes a long way, and this experience could have been handled much more smoothly. read more

I gave Anne's Nail Salon several chances because my regular salon is closed on Sundays. Unfortunately, the experience kept getting worse. The technician filed the tips of my nails so thin that one corner broke shortly after. I went back, that nail was repaired, the very next day the same corner broke again. When I returned for a third visit, they even applied the wrong color, which is shown in my pictures. Today, after only two and a half weeks, I tried to speak with the manager ( Michelle) before writing this review, just to give them the chance to make it right. Instead, I was told it was because my nails had grown out. That explanation doesn't line up with my experience. Builder gel usually lasts me at least three to four weeks without breaking. What disappointed me most was how dismissive the manager was. Good customer service matters, just like good nail work. Unfortunately, I didn't get either, and I won't be returning. read more

Kim and Tom are the BEST. Kim has been doing my nails, and Tom has been doing my toes, for a year. They both pay close attention to detail, and I always leave happy. Kim has a very sweet, funny and happy demeanor (and she's never burned me with the drill even once!). Tom does my pedicures just like I like, and he gives a great foot massage. Kim did a great job on my St. Patrick's Day nails and recreated the inspiration picture I showed her perfectly. I highly recommend both of them. read more

I don't normally like to post negative reviews, but this one has been in the back of my mind. I visited Ann's Nails a few months back after a friend recommended. The employees are very sweet. They seem to care about doing a good job. BUT! When I sat down for a manicure, the station was as covered with nails cut from the previous customer. The technician didn't seem embarrassed or even try to clean them up. I was grossed out, of course, but decided to just not be difficult. But it was truly bizarre. I also feel concerned that the technicians don't wear masks. Are they ok with inhaling nail dust all day? Doesn't seem healthy. Anyway, I had the impression they were trying to hustle and get customers in and out for the dollar versus playing the long game of proper hygiene and customer service. I wouldn't recommend or go back, unfortunately. Bummer. read more

This place is huge with a large staff and lots of stations. It is always busy and so especially during season they recommend calling to schedule appointment. But most of the time I do walk-ins and they have room for me. I've had a variety of technicians, but I really like Lynn. Excellent work. I've taken a number of friends here when they come to visit me in town. It's right next to a great breakfast spot and across in the same parking lot as Whole Foods and HomeGoods, so it's a dangerous day trip to hit all of them all at once. But every time I've gone, I've had a great experience. One time I brought a picture of a nail design and Peter did a fabulous job of creating it. Most of the time I'm pretty boring and have short nails and a single color, but I watch others and there's some spectacular art happening here. read more

Rude. I made an appointment to do a mani/pedi and they said they could do both at the same time (which ended up not being true). They had me sit to do my mani first, which was fine, but when they got to the point of glueing the Gel X nails on, a customer came in and asked for the lady who was doing my nails so they switched me to sit at the pedicure station with a different employee. (Not going to name names). I get Gel X sets every month, I ask for short almond every time. Sometimes I ask for shorter, sharper, rounder, etc. after they do the initial filing/cutting which I feel is pretty standard to make sure the shape is what I want. My nails were super long and round so I asked for shorter. She cut them. I asked to make it a bit sharper. She sighed and was rude to me saying I was wasting her time by asking to change it and then filed my nails aggressively. I was shocked because I was simply asking to change the shape and length and she made me feel bad for voicing the shape I wanted. Then she put the polish on, which was supposed to exactly match my toes, a dark plum, but it was neon pink. So I said this is not the same color and I showed her side by side. She said after three coats it would be the same. It wasn't. But at that point I was afraid to say anything else because I already felt like I was asking for too much. Final result: The shape is what I wanted but the color does not match my toes. I shouldn't be treated like I'm asking for too much when I'm spending money on a service as a form of self care after a long work week. I love getting my nails done and I've never had this experience, made me sad and uncomfortable. I usually go to my girl Kim at Desert Nail for gel x but they were closed. Next time I'll just wait. read more

I am very disappointed with my experience. The nail techs clearly did not have the skill level to perform the design and shape I requested. If they were unable to do what I asked for, they should have been honest from the beginning instead of proceeding and charging me for a service they couldn't properly provide. My manicure looks like it's already a month grown out, even though I just had it done. The shaping is uneven, the overall work looks rushed, and the final result is nothing like what I expected. Now I have to spend additional money at another salon to have my nails fixed. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I do expect honesty and professionalism. If a service is beyond a technician's experience, clients should be told upfront rather than leaving with nails they're unhappy with. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

I am not gonna lie when I first met Gia at Anna's Nails. I absolutely loved my set however they were not acrylic. They were just glorified press on which I wasn't happy about though they did look good second time around. I actually told him that I did not want the glorified press ones and I wanted my acrylic nails back. Tell me why I have three broken fingernails split right down in the middle! My pointer finger, my middle finger and my pinky finger and they hurt like hell so I don't know what material he's using, but I will never go back here again. By the way, their price point is outrageous. I spent $180 getting my nails taken off and redone with the acrylic. That's just ridiculous when you can go to T nails and get the exact same set just as beautifully done for 120. read more

Oof. I despise leaving a negative review but after a negative first experience at Ann's and - now - a negative second experience, I feel it's necessary. The first time I came to Ann's was this December upon referral after recently moving to Palm Desert from Los Angeles. I got my standard dip manicure, a gel pedicure and bought 3 gift cards for Christmas gifts. The next morning, the dip started coming off my nails. I noticed it was jagged around the edges and about 7 nails were coming undone. It was right before Christmas and they offered to make it right - which I appreciated - but with the holidays, I couldn't get back in. So I started going to a different nail salon in La Quinta further from my home in Palm Desert that had come highly recommended by my former manicurist of 3 years in LA. But, today, I didn't have that 15 extra minutes to drive so I gave Ann's another chance. Sorry to say, it wasn't a good experience. I asked for dip - and they told me that I should do gel because it "won't hurt your nails" - even though dip at the other salon leaves my nails strong. But since the last time I was here, the dip came off after a day, I acquiesced. Then while the manicurist was filing behind my right ring nail, she cut me. It hurt so much, it woke me up from my little half-slumber. She acted like it was nothing and I tried to be kind and pointed out it was bleeding slightly and she put a little antiseptic on it. Not a great experience already - but then I noticed that there was gel buildup a bit behind the nail and around it as well as polish beyond the nail barrier. I tried to point out and the manicurist made an excuse - so at that point, I just thanked her, told her I needed to go to another nail salon next time and left unhappy - but with fine nails. Seriously, they're not terrible - they're not great, but I won't be going back. It's especially disappointing because I bought 3 gift certificates for friends for Christmas and I'm worried they'll have a similar experience. I have one friend who has told me they love Ann's - you just have to go to the right person. But that's enough chances given to them for me. I'll go back to the nail salon in La Quinta and not take the chance next time. This cut behind the nail is already hurting - and the polish job is so thick. Oh well, lesson(s) learned. read more

Such a great experience here! The salon is bright, clean, and buzzing with energy--it was fun to see how lively it was, even with a few couples enjoying services together. It made the whole visit feel upbeat and welcoming. Kim did my pedicure and an amazing hot stone massage, and she was fantastic. Super friendly, genuinely funny, and just a joy to be around--my friend and I had the best time with her. Also, the hot stone massage on my feet and legs... WOW. 2nd time I've been here and the experience was as good as the first. I dropped my other half off to get a haircut at the salon next door & decided to see if I could a pedicure while I waited.
