This is a favorite lunch destination for me and my co-workers. The other ladies tend to order the same dish every time: Chicken and broccoli with rice and vermicelli with grilled chicken. Me? I get something different every time just to keep them on their toes :) I'm not crazy about the pho, but I'm a bit of a Pho Snob! PHO SHO! The broth is good, but still missing the fragrance and sweetness that I know is not there. The portion is very ample and the meats are always a plenty. I really love their spring rolls, even though they don't use real sliced pork. Instead they use the pork roll (cha lua) but they don't scrimp so it isn't just a big roll of noodles and veggies. Their vermicelli dishes are very good, lots of flavor in the nuoc mam (sauce for the noodles). Their vietnamese egg rolls are average. No one makes an egg roll like MAI's! They have a few traditional vietnamese dishes that I have tried and while not the best, is pretty nice to have when you are craving mom's lemongrass chicken (bone in and all)! You should check this place out if you are in the area and want some vietnamese food. 8/10/2012 After today's visit, I've decided to add a STAR to V Bistro's rating! :) I had their combination vermicelli bowl (with egg roll, grilled shrimp and grille chicken) and it was super delicious! Four stars may be a bit high because the food is not as good as some of the other Vietnamese joints in town, especially the pho. I don't have as many options for Vietnamese (or Asian food in general) around my 2nd office location near the airport. Hi would say, after eating at many Pho restaurants, this one is average. The Pho is pretty good, slightly better than average, some of the other dishes range around average for the most part. One of us ordered fried rice with shrimp. They pulled all the shrimp off due to they "tasted fishy". Then they said "Yea, forgot to tell them to not include shrimp, they always taste fishy." They also serve bahn mi sandwiches, grilled beef, chicken or pork. But they seem a little lax on the veggies in them. Service has always been exceptional and prices about average for Pho places. This place was a pretty average place for me. I've been to a number of Vietnamese restaurants, and based off of price and quality of food, this place didn't stand out at all to me. I think everything was a tad over-priced. My favorite dish I had was the crab Rangoon . It was very crispy, yet creamy on the inside. The Pho, which I crave on colder days, was blander than most broths than I've had and the portion was smaller. Pretty alright. Thai tea is delicious. Other smoothies and specialty drinks also good. Love the spring rolls. Meals are a good portion. Crunchy noodles aren't too great but they allow subs. Just make sure they know what you want and there's about a 25% chance they'll forget if you ask for something extra added. Usually have to ask for things: extra napkins, chopsticks, drink refill. Great selections of Vietnamese foods, just wish it wasn't so crowded all the time. They should expand the building or something. It's even hard coming in and out the only small entrance/exit door. So far, my favorite is their vermicelli bowl with the egg rolls, shrimp and pork. It's kind of pricey but really delicious. Their pho is ok. Needs more fresh vegetables but decent tasting broth. I also order their Tapioca drinks since there's like none in the Humble area. It tastes ok, although for the price the cups should be a little bigger like the ones down China Town. Excellent fast service and the owner is super friendly and cute! I'll be glad to show you photos of a cleaned off plate, or one of an empty glass, but I am sure you understand if you have eaten here before. If not, then try this place. The V-Bistro coffee will get you going, and is sweet and strong. The spring rolls are not my thing, but my friends at the table swear by them. For me it has to be the egg rolls with the incredable fish sauce. Mild and flavorful, I wish I could get a barrel of it. They have a V-Club sandwich on the best French roll i have had in a long time. Try the beef and ask for extra carrots. Yum. The noodle soup makes it to my list of favorites too. It gets crowded during lunch time as more people are getting into this place. Try it around three, and the wait isn't so bad and the noise factor is easier to deal with. It's all good. read more

Only two tables seated when we walked in, and the room temperature felt 80+... Weren't feeling adventurous, so we ordered two of the combo vermicelli, one with pork, and the other chicken. Food was served quickly. Veggies were fresh, the usual mix of cucumber, carrots, lettuce, and bean sprouts. Both the egg roll and pork were good, while shrimp and chicken just average. Where do I start wouldn't even give this place a one star but that is as low as it gets . The food was okay could do a little better with there hostesses but anyways The main reason why this place deserves such a low rating is STAY AWAY from this restaurant at the end when I got my bill they had charged double so instead of it being $30.00 they charged $60.00 and then when I brought up the error they gave me some excuse don't worry we will reimburse that for you welp they charge my card again another $30.00 so ended up spending $90.00 here on literally just 2 beef Vermacellis and 1 spring roll .
